SELENE'S POV

I jump off the rooftop with a heavy feeling inside me that will explode anytime.

I ran as fast as I could until I got to the old abandoned church. Slowly, I entered the church filled with grass and wild bushes inside.

With a teary eye, I walked down the aisle until I reached the altar. I bent my knees looking down at the floor while crying,

"Please.... whatever you want to do with us, just do it to me, please spare my wife and my child."

Those words linger on me. I still remember the time when my husband pleaded for our lives, and the time I saw how the corporals killed my child and my husband. "Aaaahhhhhh..... my baby...... Ambrogio!!!!.....aaahhhhh"

It was my painful past that started everything. I can't contain the pain that still lingers inside me, the pain that kills all my humanity.

Sitting on my knee, I am touching the floor, staring bluntly at it. I have an underground space at the bottom of this church. I manage to build a secret space on it, where my husband's and child's bones are secretly placed under it. While my eyes are dried with tears, the thought of seeing that man's tattoo on his neck in the footage makes me feel angry, all the madness, hate and outrage inside me is suddenly coming out, flashing the image of the tattoo on my mind makes my eyes turn to red and my fangs come out.

The tattoo was the exact symbol of the necklace that the 5 corporals were wearing at the time of our abduction a thousand years ago. I will never forget it!

The symbol was also stitched on the uniform of the corporals whom I killed when I massacred all members and visitors of the Elites society organization in the 17th century.

Seeing that symbol again, I couldn't contain my feelings earlier when all the memories and pain suddenly flashed back on me.

Now I will do everything to get the man with the tattoo and lead me to the person and the family line behind the death of my husband and child.

MARTHA'S POV

Until now, Ms. Selene isn't returning yet. I don't know why I am expecting her to come back, though she has the right not to, especially if she has an important thing to do. Damn Martha, she is your boss, she is not just anyone that you would expect to take care of you, damn it! I said to myself, though I was still expecting her to come back for me.

It is almost seven in the evening but they still haven't come, but the good thing is that Jan and Justine visited me here. They are going to be with me for a while tonight, though the doctor informs us that I may go home soon.

It is already 10 pm when Justine and Jan needed to go home. Justine needs to go to work and Jan will be staying at Mr. Mando.

It is really boring since I didn't even have anyone to talk to. I grab the remote from the TV and settle myself to watch on it.

I was in the middle of watching when I suddenly remembered something about the time in the elevator. I feel like I am missing something when Ms. Selene was in front of me that time. Something in my mind tells me that she looked really different at that time. Her eyes are like a red gem; her lips are so red like a cherry. I mean she really looked different that time, unlike her usual appearance, though who would have that kind of red eyes? That is impossible that she has those eyes.

Geez, maybe I am just hallucinating things, maybe I am indeed expecting her to come back.

While watching, my eyes suddenly fell asleep like any time will close, sad and tired eyes are what I have now and I am letting myself sleep when suddenly the door opens and I was shocked to see Ms. Selene

When she came in, I noticed her eyes. They looked puffy and seemed like she was crying, though I am not sure, I can see that even her looks are really different right now. Her hair is usually tied up and looks sophisticated but now hanging loosely, she is also wearing a denim jacket and jeans with a white shirt inside. She looks stunning. I mean I have never seen her like this every day. I don't know what has been going on with her and she really looks different, but all I can see within her is sadness. It was reflected in her eyes.

I can see that she tries to smile behind her serious look; she slowly walks towards the chair that is near my bed and sits.

I don't know if I will greet her of what to say to her, should I greet her good evening but it isn't seems like a good evening for her.

When I am about to say something, she just starts to speak, which surprises me.

"How far will you go to revenge your family from the David?"

She suddenly asked which really surprised me. I mean I didn't expect her to ask me that, it never came to my mind, even until now. I was used to being weak. I didn't have anything to fight them with, so I didn't really know what to answer honestly.

But if I were to think about it, I must choose lawfully, that the law will be the one to punish them.

"Ahmm, why did you suddenly ask Ma'am?"

I asked.

"I will help you with that, as long as you can do my terms"

She seriously said though honestly, it scares me, I mean her reaction now. She is really pushy and has an act of revenge.

Still, I need to listen to what she is offering. I can't deny the fact that at some point I may like her offer.

"What are the terms then?"

I curiously asked.

"I will adopt you as my younger sister and I will give you half of the share that I have in the Elites Society Organization,"

She said which shocked me. I mean she really wanted to give me that share just for me to have my revenge? I kind of think about what it will be like for her. I mean she really wants this thing. Who would disagree with her offer? But I am kind of scared about the return if ever.

"Ahem... I don't know if I can do it. I mean how to act like you, being your sister; I must be like you somehow in some areas,"

I shyly asked her.

"Exactly, you will act accordingly; you will be the chairman of the Organization on my behalf, so I need you to be strong. At the party that we will attend, I will announce to everyone your new position".

She explains that makes me nervous, but she is right. I needed to be strong, so I had to do it, though I needed to give myself time to really decide on it.

"I understand Ma'am and I am really thankful for the offer and if I think of it I will really grab it, but I felt like within me somehow wanted to think about it first. Would that be okay?"

I said.

"Alright, I will give you time, but that's only a one-time offer that I can give. You need to think wisely"

She seriously said, then got out of the room.

Honestly, she is really different tonight. It seems like she isn't the same Ms. Selene that I just been with earlier. SELENE'S POV

I got out of the room with a heavy heart; tears fell down my face as I walked along the hallway of the hospital. This time I couldn't control my emotions. My tears really shower on my face as I went up to the rooftop. I stood on the rooftop waiting for Gust.

When Gust arrives, He noticed a difference in my features and I am aware, though I can't help myself right now, I don't feel comfortable.

"Sen, you okay?"

Just ask.

"I offered Martha to be my sister to provoke the David,"

I said while looking somewhere.

"What!? Are you out of your mind? Last time I checked, we only needed Martha to know David dealt with her family and to mess it up, but this time, you're putting Martha in danger. It is out of line, Sen!" Gust exclaimed, and suddenly I felt the guilt and so remained silent.

"Look Sen, I don't know what happened to you earlier. I don't know what happened to your life exactly, and I respect you so much. That's why I never asked, but this, you're getting too far, I always agree with all your plans because you are doing it in the right way, but you've involved an innocent girl in this. Have you already forgotten Thali? What did she usually say?"

Gust said, and that made me look at him while reminiscing about what he said about Thali.

"I want to know about this medicine to prove that there is always hope. My classmates always bullied me because I was just a poor girl who was forsaken by the Gods because my parents left me in a bush, and I'm just adopted" - Thali "Well, once you learned this, use this to get back at them, make them pay for all the insult and bullying you got from them"- Sen

"No, Sen, once you use a special thing for revenge, it will lose its value. Using someone for personal reasons is not right. Sometimes you just need to find goodness in people for us to go on, no matter the hurt or pain you have been through, there is always hope, Sen. Just always does the right thing. That is God's gift to us. He gives us the power to choose and decide, so choose to do right" - Thali

Those words that come back to me, her words that made me live as a normal human a hundred years ago.
