Chapter My Troubles 67
Chapter 67
Until
now, Jim finally began to feel fear.
He shouted, "I'm sorry! I shouldn't have attacked the hospital system! I'll compensate, take the money from my account."
The family members of the patients quickly realized the situation.
"So it was this guy who hacked into the hospital system!"
"He's despicable, even threatening Dr. Vega!"
"The hospital system is back online."
"You've been so busy causing a scene that you didn't even notice it had already been fixed. Your family members are safe." Someone slapped themselves. "I'm so stupid. How could I have thought about hurting Dr. Vega? My wife was saved by her." Inside the ICU, everyone who witnessed this felt a sense of relief.
Eddie didn't seem to have any intention of stopping. Jim was already on the brink of death, tortured beyond recognition. "Please, let me go," Jim begged.
Eddie slowly spoke. "Impossible."
Jim widened his eyes. "I'll pay. Just stop! Isn't that enough?"
"Anyone who insults my friends will be punished, no matter how far away they are!"
Jim started crying. "But she didn't even kneel."
Eddie didn't respond. Instead, he pressed the "enter" key once more.
"Ah!" The computer, which Jim had treated like a treasure, exploded.
Jim screamed, spitting out blood once again.
Meanwhile, all the big screens went black.
The people didn't see Jim's final fate, but they all knew what had happened. They felt a sense of satisfaction.
Inside the ICU, Homer slowly regained consciousness. He should have woken up earlier, but Jim's program had delayed his recovery. "Grandpa!"

Buck immediately dropped to his knees in front of Homer's bed. "Grandpa, you're finally awake! I'm really worried about you!"
Homer looked at his foolish grandson and couldn't help but smile slightly. As his senses gradually returned, he became aware of the many people in the ward.
His eyes shifted, and he spotted Nydia standing beside Eddie, her eyes slightly red.
"My..." He coughed a few times, trying to sit up, but Buck immediately held him down. "Grandpa, you just woke up. You need to rest." Homer kept his gaze fixed on Nydia. "My... savior."
Buck quickly moved aside and glanced at Nydia as well. "Dr. Vega, can you..."
Nydia spoke calmly. "You're out of immediate danger, but you still need to pay attention to post-surgery care and diet."
It was just a simple medical instruction, but Homer's face softened. Tears welled in his eyes. "I ... I'm sorry."
Earlier, at the competition venue, he had questioned Nydia's professionalism, even criticizing her for being unreasonable. Yet, it was this very person, whom he had doubted, who had saved his life at the critical moment. Nydia quickly waved her hand. "You don't need to apologize."
At the time, she hadn't taken it to heart. After all, anyone would be upset when someone publicly called them incompetent.
Strictly speaking, she had just done her duty as a doctor. It wasn't a great achievement.
Homer was too weak to say much more. Austin had already arranged for staff to clean up the mess, and the crowd began to disperse.
The ward soon fell silent. Nydia walked out with Eddie.
"Mr. Houle, you're even more impressive than the hacker!"
Eddie remained nonchalant. "He was just foolish.
She raised an eyebrow. The person he called foolish was still able to breach the hospital's firewall and switch the medication. 1/73
