Reborn Through Fire

Chapter 1533

Chapter 1533
But, when Kisa touched Sara's back, her hand came away slick with blood. It was real.
"It is all fake! This has to be her ploy, playing the victim. It must be—" Kisa's words were abruptly cut off as a strong hand
violently gripped her jaw.
Gilbert's eyes seethed with menace as he snarled, "I told you, get out!"
Suddenly, it felt as if something shattered into a million pieces, the fragments echoing with intensity. A suffocating pain radiated
from her heart, engulfing her entire body. Kisa's vision blurred, but she stood defiantly straight, refusing to collapse. Gilbert,
without sparing her a glance, coldly shoved her away.
She staggered back, leaning against a cabinet, her voice filled with despair.
"Fine... I'll go." She turned and walked toward the door, her heart bleeding with every agonizing step. The room seemed to
plunge into darkness, yet she did not falter, finally making her way through the door.
Kelvin looked anxious. "Gilbert, maybe you should bring her back. After all, she's pregnant."
Shaking his head, Gilbert leaned against the table, his voice hoarse and heavy.
"I don't know how to face her anymore."
The death of his parents and grandmother was an insurmountable obstacle. If they were together, the pain would only intensify.
Sara's eyes shifted, and she resumed her facade of innocence. "Gilbert, don't be like this. Kisa—"
But before she could finish, Gilbert's dark, foreboding gaze silenced her. "You deliberately brought up her mom, didn't you?"
"Gilbert, I"
"I know what you're thinking. Once you've recovered, you should leave."
"No, Gilbert, listen to me. Gilbert..."
As she helplessly watched Gilbert walk upstairs, her eyes flashed with a volatile mix of jealousy and hatred.
‘after everything, he still loves that despicable woman!'

Kisa awoke from her nightmare, staring blankly at the dim ceiling.
Suddenly, she began to sob uncontrollably, her cries filled with unbearable pain and sorrow.
Suddenly, a shadowy figure approached.
She glanced at the person, a sarcastic smile slowly forming on her lips. "Jensen. It's been a while."
Gone was the warmth in Jensen's eyes, replaced by a layer of icy indifference.
With his hands in his pockets, he stood by the bed and spoke in a cool, detached tone.
"You collapsed in the street; it was dangerous. From now on, you will stay here, and I'll take care of you."
"Why the pretense?" Kisa turned her head away, unwilling to engage in conversation or even look at him.
Jensen's eyes darkened, and after a long, tense silence, he turned and left without a word.
Not long after he left, the door was abruptly pushed open bean again.
Kisa lay on her side in bed, unresponsive, not wanting to interact with anyone at the moment.
"Mommy..."
An achingly familiar voice, tinged with apprehension, reached her ears. Her heart clenched as she quickly turned around to see
Blake standing by the bed, his eyes brimming with unshed tears.
"Blake?" Kisa stared at him, shocked. The boy's lips quivered, and he finally could not hold back any longer. He flung himself into
her embrace and sobbed. "Mommy..."
Kisa, holding him in a daze, asked, "What did you call me?"
"Mommy, you're my mommy. I heard Dad and Mom say it, you're my mommy. I never want to be separated from you again."
Kisa‘s heart pounded as she trembled, tenderly caressing his head. It seemed that Blake was the child who had supposedly
'died' years ago. In reality, he had not died; Jensen had been raising him all along. Blake revealed that Andrew and Ada were
with Davian, andhe had willingly returned to his foster father's side.
