Reborn Through Fire

Chapter 1422

Chapter 1422 You Won
Kisa swiveled her head to sneak a glance at the man who was previously engrossed in his magazine, only to catch him now
drifting off to dreamland with his eyes closed. She rolled her eyes.
‘Not even a moment ago, he was as wide awake as an owl. Now, after a quick chat with Kelvin, he decides it is nap time? How
petty can he get?’
She seethed with frustration, biting her tongue to keep from lashing out.
Kelvin, on the other hand, was livid. “We’re not even yelling, for crying out loud. Can’t we have a normal conversation without
you being such a control freak?”
Gilbert, without even bothering to open his eyes, shot back in a monotone voice, “One more word from you, and I will have
Davian toss you out of this aircraft.”
“How dare he?” Kelvin glared at Davian, who was busy tapping away at his phone, sending sappy messages to Felicity. Davian
grinned sheepishly at Kelvin, then hunched down in his seat to avoid being noticed.
Kelvin let out a derisive snort before tugging Kisa by the arm. “Kisa, did you need my help with something? Let’s chat in the
back.”
Kisa nodded and hoisted herself up with her cane. Since nobody was seated next to Kelvin, he walked straight out and then sat
in the back row. Kisa was about to follow Kelvin when she realized that Gilbert was blocking her way. She stood there for a
moment, but he did not even flinch or make any effort to move aside.
Kisa took a deep breath and forced the words out, “Excuse me, Mr. Kooper. Could you please scooch over a bit?” Her voice was
tight with barely contained rage.
Gilbert finally cracked open his eyes and gave her a withering look. “No. Giving way to you so you could seduce Kelvin?”
Kisa was fuming with anger, and her breaths came in short and sharp bursts. She could not hold it in any longer, and she
aggressively rapped her cane on the man’s leg, seething, “You are out of your mind!”
But Gilbert remained as still as a statue, sitting cool and collected in his seat. Kisa gnashed her teeth and, without a second
thought, stormed out of her seat with her head down. But Gilbert’s legs, long and bunched up, were spread out all over the place,

leaving no room for her to squeeze through. And he seemed to be doing it on purpose, unwilling to give her even an inch of
space. Kelvin was beckoning to her from the back. Not that Kisa really wanted his help. She just wanted to chat with him about
the Mullens and their family instead of sitting next to this frigid iceberg, who was acting like an utter lunatic.
She rolled her eyes and muttered, “Move, I need to pee.”
“Hold it in!” Gilbert retorted icily, his tone making it clear that he was not budging.
Kisa was beyond furious, her teeth grinding together as she hissed, “You won!”
Sitting back down in her seat with an angry huff, she did not even have time to catch her breath before Gilbert’s icy voice sliced
through the air, “You can be as mad as you want, but please watch your actions and don’t harm my child.”
“You...you...” Kisa glared at Gilbert’s collected demeanor, the anger inside of her simmering for what felt like hours. Suddenly, a
sardonic smirk spread across her face, “So you are worried about your kid? Shame he is already cozy in my belly. If you want
your little one to be born healthy, happy, and pudgy, then you’d better not annoy me or put me through torture.”
Gilbert’s eyes narrowed dangerously, his body radiating hostility. “Are you threatening me with my child again?”
‘Uh oh, did I accidentally cross a line? Why do I feel like he’s getting angrier?’ Before he could retaliate, Kisa put on a smile and
tried to placate him. “No, no, no. I’m not threatening you, just joking around. After all, it’s my baby too, and I want him to be
chubby and thriving.”
