Chapter 223
The three of them did not say anything about the night before as if it did not happen at all.
Olivia furrowed her brow in displeasure.
Dylan could clearly see the warning in her eyes. She wanted him to stop talking.
Olivia had enough of him.
Dylan's eyes widened and clutched his chest. "Olivia, did I offend you or something?" he exclaimed. "Why are you looking at me like that? You're scaring me!"
Then, he looked at Connor. "Be honest, Connor. Did you piss off Olivia? I'm telling you, we men can't afford to make them angry. They're precious. We have to spoil them, love them, and protect them! If we make them angry, we're at fault."
Olivia's gaze was icy. "Dylan, if you talk any more nonsense, I'll tear your face off!"
Olivia was truly furious because Dylan was clearly trying to push her to Connor.
She was there to provoke Scott. He loved her and cared for her. Naturally, he would not let her be with other men.
She came with Connor that night to let him feel a little sense of danger. This was asking him to not do such careless things anymore. It was time he should be aware.
However, she never thought that Scott would be so mad at her that he was not even looking at her or talking to her.
She was upset. It felt like a knife lodged in her heart. She even thought that Dylan would help her, but never did she expect him to trouble her instead.
Olivia was furious.
Connor looked at Olivia's icy expression. He gently patted her back and consoled her, "Olivia, Dylan is just messing with you. Don't take it seriously."
How would he not know what Olivia was trying to do? He could see what she was doing, and even so, he still brought her along. After all, he had his motives too.
The moment Connor's hand landed on her back, Olivia stiffened. She turned to look at Connor with an equally displeased and questioning gaze.
He knew she liked Scott. He also knew that Scott might misunderstand, so why did he still do that? Was he planning to make Scott have a deeper misunderstanding to drive Scott away from her? Olivia immediately took Connor's hand away. She said coldly, "I'm sure you know if he's joking around or not. You don't have to lie."
Connor's smile vanished. He looked at Olivia quietly. He did not get mad or lose his temper. He merely looked at her quietly.
Dylan furrowed his brows, which was rare for him.
Olivia was a proud person. She never mingled with ordinary people, and all her friends were from the same circle. To put it simply, she was a wealthy heiress. She always acted high and mighty, looking down on all the people she thought were beneath her.
Everyone had to go along with her and please her, or she would get angry.
She had a strong character. She was extremely narcissistic and confident.
Dylan did not like people like her; he only thought that since they had known each other for so many years. Besides, Olivia was a lady, and since no conflict ever happened, he could look the other way. However, at that moment, Olivia pissed him off. She thought too highly of herself.
The atmosphere turned cold.
Olivia sat there, her fury raging violently inside. She could not stand such an atmosphere, especially when Scott was around.
She could not help but look at him.
