Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring novel (Naomi)

Chapter 160

Instead of falling to the floor as Naomi expected, she fell into Scott's arms instead. She instinctively grabbed his shirt and buried her face in her arms. All she could smell was his powerful scent. More importantly, as she crashed into him, it hurt so much that tears fell. His chest was as hard as a rock. She did not know how to react.

Scott hugged her in his arms. Naomi, who was always apprehensive of him and stayed far away from him, finally stopped moving in his arms.

At that moment, his gloomy aura improved ever so slightly. It was less intimidating.

Silence washed over the entire room.

The candle flickered in the dim room; the sensor-activated lights were turned off. All that was left was the fairy lights and the candles. The room was remarkably romantic.

Naomi lay in Scott's arm as she tried to breathe out the stinging pain in her nose and leg. When she came around, she stiffened.

She realized that their bodies were pressed against each other. She could feel the warmth of his body and even his heart thumping.

She was stunned.

He was hugging her. This made her mind blank.

She quickly came to her senses and pushed her away.

However, the moment she pushed him, he pulled her back into his arms. Her face was buried in his chest. His scent overwhelmed her. At that moment, her eyes widened in a daze.

When Dylan pushed her onto him the other day, it was an accident. When she fell into his arms that night, it was also an accident.

Was this, then, an accident, too?

He was hugging her so tightly that there was no space between them at all. There was no backing out.

She felt his heartbeat, and her heart pounded harder. In the end, she could not tell whose heartbeat it was. Her mind was in a complete mess.

If Olivia had not appeared, if she had not seen him carrying Olivia away the other day, she would probably read more into the strange way he was behaving ever since their divorce. However, she knew that he had someone else in his heart. She saw how much he cared about Olivia. She would never think he would have feelings for her.

Never.

Nonetheless, she did not know how to think about his actions or how to react as well.

Everything that she thought she knew about him-her perceptions, her beliefs about him-shattered due to his actions.

She was in a mess. An utter mess.

Scott hugged her tightly and looked at her dark hair. He could smell the shampoo on her hair as well as the medication on her ankle.

The mixture of these scents greeted him like a drug that excited him.

His gaze darkened with a terrible desire to dominate, something he had never shown on his face before.

Even so, he did nothing. He merely hugged her tightly, not letting her go.

After several minutes later, her breathing evened out.
