Chapter 46 

After Elizabeth confirmed that there was nothing wrong with Andrew, she went out to go shopping with Lucy Collins, who was one of her best friends. 

In the past, before Elizabeth went abroad, she only knew Lucy. But they were not familiar with each other. 

After she left the country, she did not expect Lucy to become her neighbor. Later on, she got to know her better. 

They found that their values were especially compatible, their hobbies were the same, and they had many common topics to talk about when they were together. So they became good friends. 

Lucy had returned to the country yesterday. As Elizabeth’s best friend, she naturally could not wait to see her. 

The two of them arranged to meet at the mall. They chatted about each other’s situation. Then, they went shopping hand in hand. The atmosphere between them was indescribably wonderful and harmonious. 

After staying at Lucy’s house for the night, it was already past 10 a.m. when Elizabeth returned home the next day. 

She had intended to go upstairs directly, but unexpectedly Peter walked towards her. 

“Mrs. Elizabeth, welcome home. Mr. Andrew is having breakfast in the dining room.” 

“Does he cat breakfast at this hour?”

Elizabeth was stunned for a moment. She thought that Andrew would only come back at night.. 

“Yes.” Peter nodded and didn’t say anything else. 

For example, Mr. Andrew had returned early in the morning and was in a gloomy mood. He had asked the chef to heat up his breakfast a few times. It was obvious that he was waiting for Elizabeth to return. 

However, Mr. Andrew was such a proud person. It was better for him not to reveal the inside story.

Elizabeth nodded and walked straight to the dining room. 

Andrew sat there and fiddled with the porridge in his bowl with a spoon. He did not eat a single bite. 

There was a tired look on Andrew’s face and the dark circles under his eyes were a little heavy. 

“Andrew, did you work overtime last night?” 

Seeing Elizabeth. Andrew’s hand that was holding the spoon stiffened slightly. He frowned his good–looking eyebrows. He hadn’t figured out what attitude to use to face this woman yet. 

“You look terrible. It’s not good for your health to stay up late like this.” 

Elizabeth thought that Andrew had stayed up for a long time and was feeling down due to poor mental health. So she approached him with concern and looked at him up and down. 

After all, he was still undergoing treatment. Staying up late and being in a bad mood would affect the outcome of the 

treatment. 

“Hurry up and rest after breakfast…” 

Before Elizabeth could finish speaking, Andrew picked up a piece of bread from the plate and stuffed it directly into her mouth, blocking what she wanted to say next. 

“Shut up!” 

After saying this, Andrew got up and left the dining room, leaving behind Anne with a confused face. 

As time went by, Andrew’s treatment was still progressing step by step. 

Elizabeth had changed Andrew’s former medicine to a more soothing medicine. Perhaps he was not used to it in the first few days. After taking the medicine, Andrew was a little dispirited and sleepy. 

Hence, he decided to stay at home for two to three days before going to the company. 

For the past few days, Elizabeth had been by his side to take care of him and observe his situation at all times. Sometimes, she would fall asleep on the edge of the bed in a daze. When she woke up, she would be lying in Andrew’s armis, Perhaps it was because he was listless, Andrew’s attitude towards others these few days was especially soft. He was no longer as cold and arrogant as before.. 

At the same time, ever since Henry successfully obtained the project contract, everything had been smooth sailing for him. When Benjamin saw this, he was not so angry at Henry anymore and temporarily gave up on the idea of chasing him out of the company.

They decided to meet in an inconspicuous cafe.

Henry fiddled with the coffee spoon in his hand languorously. After his urgent problem was resolved, he was obviously not as concerned about this matter. 

“How can this be slow? The longer they stay together, the more accidents there will be.” 

Thinking that Elizabeth was so close to the man she loved every day, she thought that something more intimate might happen between them as a couple. When she thought of this, she was so jealous that she wanted to tear Elizabeth apart on the spot. 

The longer the matter dragged on, the more difficult it would be to control if they gave birth to a child. 

“Don’t worry. I won’t let them live happily together.” 

That day. Andrew went to the study to sleep, which meant that his relationship with Elizabeth was not as good as they had imagined. 

“Other than my brother’s Hall Group, I’ve also established a company in the country and plan to develop in the country. In the future, if there’s anything you want me to help you with, just ask me. Elizabeth majored in psychology abroad. Previously, because of her marriage and handling Andrew’s matter, she had not reported to her hospital. 

Now things were slowly getting back on track. So she returned to the hospital. 

Unexpectedly, on the first day she returned, she met a very unreasonable patient who pestered her and insisted on going to the hospital director to complain about her bad attitude. 

Because the patient was a small shareholder in the hospital, the director could not offend her. So he could only warn Elizabeth, which made her feel very depressed.

“Liz, it’s not right for you to do this. If you offend all the patients in our hospital, how can I explain this to the higher–ups?”
