Chapter 19
Chapter 19
This guy was really good–looking and was in good shape. It was something she had experienced and seen.
She was simply appreciating his appearance and had no other bad intentions.
When Elizabeth thought of that, she felt much more at ease.
Just as she got up from the bed, Andrew, who was next to her, also woke up..
“Ouch… Just as he opened his eyes, Andrew felt a burning pain in his face. He also felt the base of his thigh was sore and painful as if someone had hit it with a hammer.
“You… you wake up too.”
Hearing Andrew’s ouch sound, Elizabeth smiled awkwardly and looked back. But after she saw Andrew’s face, she changed the expression on her face and took a deep breath from the bottom of her heart secretly.
Andrew’s originally handsome face now looked red and swollen. In some places, there was even a red rash, which looked miserable.
“What’s wrong?”
Catching a flash of abnormality on Elizabeth’s face, Andrew couldn’t help but frown.
“You… Your face… Take a look for yourself.”
As Elizabeth spoke, she pointed to the dresser not far away as she was thinking about how to explain to Andrew about his injuries.
When she used pepper spray on him, she did not think the consequences would be this bad.
But Andrew was attacked by his illness and probably could not remember the details of the previous night. She had to think of a reliable way to fool him.
Hearing that, Andrew got up from the bed and walked toward the dresser.
The first thing that caught his eye was his face, which was so red and swollen that he could barely see his eyes. It was in stark contrast to his previous handsome appearance.
“What’s going on, Elizabeth? You owe me an explanation!”
Andrew turned back to look at Elizabeth and questioned her through gritted teeth.
He did not care about his looks that much. But now that he had suddenly become like this, it still caused quite a shock to his heart.
“Didn’t you… didn’t you get attacked by your illness again later last night? I had a hard time bringing you back from the banquet hall. You fell on the way back… and then you became like this.”
Elizabeth smiled awkwardly and tried to make up lies to fool Andrew.
“A fall can make my face like this? Do you think I’m a stupid little kid?”
Andrew snickered, not believing Elizabeth’s unreliable story.
“It’s true. Is your thigh still a little sore? You even hit your thigh when you fell.”
Elizabeth remembered her kick last night and estimated that Andrew’s thigh should be bruised now.
When Andrew heard that, he frowned in half–belief and half–doubt. His thigh did still hurt quite a bit right now.
“You had a bad fall, and it took me a long time to pull you up. And it was also possible that you ate something at the party last night and were allergic.”
As Elizabeth spoke, she nodded solemnly. She would have believed her own exaggerated words if everything had not been done by her
“It’s better to be like this. If I find out you’re lying to me, you’ll be done.”
Andrew walked up to Elizabeth as he spoke. His deep gaze fixed on her as if he was trying to find some flaw in her expression.
Elizabeth lifted her head hard to look at Andrew’s tall figure. She could not see the man’s face now in that view, but his body looked still very strong. He stood in front of her without clothes early in the morning. Did he think he was a male model?
Are
you still satisfied with what you see?”
Andrew bent down slightly to make Elizabeth look more closely at his body as he spoke.
*1… I’m just concerned about the injury on your face. It’s so bad… I guess you won’t be able to see anyone for a few days.”

Elizabeth immediately felt her ears become flushed after her thoughts were seen through. She cleared her throat and changed the subject.
When he heard Elizabeth’s concerned words, Andrew narrowed his eyes. He turned around and walked into the bathroom. with long strides.
Seeing that Andrew did not keep asking about the matter further, Elizabeth could not help but feel a secret sigh of relief in
her heart.
After washing up, the two of them went downstairs together.
When Peter saw the injury on Andrew’s face, he could not help but exclaim, “Mr. Hayes, what’s wrong with your face? Do you need me to call a doctor to come over and take a look?”
“It’s nothing serious. But you can call a doctor.” Andrew said those words deliberately to see if Elizabeth was lying to him.
Hearing that, Peter hurriedly went to call a doctor.
The breakfast was very hearty. Elizabeth sat down nervously across from Andrew, thinking about how she would make up the lies after the doctor came over and found out the truth.
She and Andrew were now in need of each other, and she did not want to offend him yet..
At that moment, Andrew’s phone beside him rang. The caller was Henry.
When they saw Henry’s name on the screen, they looked at each other. Their eyes flashed with a few complicated emotions.
Obviously, Henry had no good intentions of making a phone call at this point in time. But, no matter what his purpose was, Andrew would not let him succeed.
After a pause, Andrew pressed the answer button and placed the phone next to his ear with a lazy look.
“Henry, what’s up?”
Ever since the last time they had offended each other openly, the atmosphere between the two of them had become increasingly odd.
Although the conversations between them were simple, what was contained in them was complicated.
“Andrew, you left in a hurry from the party yesterday. I was worried about you, so I called over to ask if you were alright.”
Although his tone was full of concern, Andrew could imagine through the screen what malicious thoughts were hidden. under Henry’s innocent and harmless look.
“It was nothing serious. I just got a little cold. Elizabeth and I are just getting married, so we wanted to come back early to spend time together.”
Henry on the other end of the receiver felt that his anger was stuck in his chest. He could not vent it after he heard that.
The woman he could not get after so much effort was easily obtained by his most annoying cousin. Andrew. When he thought that Elizabeth was likely to have had sex with Andrew the previous night, Henry’s eyes flashed with a touch of predatory hostility.
“So when are you coming to the office? I still have a lot of business matters to ask you for advice.”
“Ask Robert if you have anything problems. He’s my assistant and knows everything. I still have some unfinished business with Elizabeth, so I won’t come to the office today.”
Andrew met Elizabeth’s gaze as he spoke. A hint of secrecy flashed through the bottom of his attractive eyes.
Andrew showed off the affection between him and Elizabeth several times in the few words with Henry, which angered Henry. He said goodbye hastily and hung up the phone.
Not long after, the family doctor, Peter, arrived. He conducted a specific examination of the injury on Andrew’s face and ultimately identified it as an allergy.
He prescribed some medicine for Andrew before leaving.
Seeing that there was no evidence of the previous night’s incident, Elizabeth was finally relieved.
