Preference For Her By Joyce Dan

Chapter 110

Chapter 110

Chapter 110

After handing over the two women to the police, Elizabeth instructed one of her bodyguards to provide their statements to the police while she whisked Andrew back to the safety of their home.

She refused to take Andrew to the hospital, fearing it would attract unwanted attention and stir up unnecessary drama.

In the room upstairs, Henry stood motionless, peering through a small gap in the curtains as he watched Elizabeth leaving the hotel with Andrew.

Henry fidgeted as his mind raced with thoughts of what to do next. “What, what should we do now?” he muttered to himself. in a panic. “Those two foolish women…”

“Make sure they do not reveal anything about this,” Henry instructed. Then, he gave the burly man a cold, hard stare before adding in a steely voice, “Clean this mess up.”

After all, Cindy was no fool. She knew what to do in such a situation.

But, when it came to this burly man, Henry knew that it was better to play it safe and handle it carefully.

Back at the Hayes family’s villa, Andrew was being treated by Dr. Zayn. Elizabeth looked at Dr. Zayn and asked solemnly, “Can you tell me what’s wrong? Should we take him to the hospital?”

“It’s not necessary.” Dr. Zayn reassured Elizabeth with a shake of his head. “Thankfully, they didn’t succeed. This is just the side effect of mixing alcohol and medicine.

“His body should be able to expel the toxins on its own. So, it seems…”

Dr. Zayn was about to reassure Elizabeth that Andrew was alright when Andrew, who was supposedly unconscious, opened his eyes and shot him a fierce look. The warning glare was crystal clear, and Dr. Zayn wisely decided to hold his tongue as he silently sighed, “Fine.”

Left without a choice, Dr. Zayn changed his words, “It seems like he is starting to feel the side effects.

“I’m afraid Mr. Hayes will have a tough time tonight. If it’s not too much trouble, it would be best if you could look after him. After all, we do not know if there will be any other problems,” Dr. Zayne advised with a concerned expression.

Elizabeth’s hands trembled as she stood up, quickly grabbing a jacket for Andrew. “Let’s take him to the Hayes family’s private hospital,” she suggested anxiously. “It’s better to be safe than sorry.”

“There’s no need for that!” Dr. Zayn interjected urgently. “Just make sure to take good care of Mr. Hayes. Let’s not rush back and forth, as it may cause potential side effects!”

Elizabeth frowned slightly, unsure what to make of Dr. Zayn’s strange words.

Despite her doubts, Elizabeth decided to follow Dr. Zayn’s instructions and take care of Andrew.

While the bodyguards removed Andrew’s suit, the stench of alcohol and cheap perfume still lingered on him.

Elizabeth initially intended to help Andrew change into comfortable pajamas and freshen up, but the pungent odor of cheap. perfume from him instantly set her on edge.

Instead of helping Andrew change his clothes, Elizabeth grabbed a warm towel and began vigorously wiping him down from head to toe.

She even ruffled his hair during this process.

Even after vigorously scrubbing Andrew’s skin until it turned red, Elizabeth still felt a lingering anger that boiled inside of her. She could not hold it in any longer and lashed out at him, “Who told you to drink? And why did you have to drink. alone? You let yourself get taken advantage of, didn’t you?”

Who knows what would have happened to you if I arrived any later!”

Andrew winced in discomfort, fearing that she might have peeled off a layer of his skin from the vigorous rubbing.

He snorted and lightly pushed Elizabeth away, mumbling, “Don’t touch me! My wife will be angry.”

Elizabeth’s eyes widened in disbelief as she heard Andrew’s words. Without a second thought, she slapped his arm with the towel in her hand and chided in annoyance, “Bastard! Can’t you even recognize me?”

Andrew winced in pain as he thought, “That’s not how it should be, right? A loving wife should be concerned and touched by those words, but why is Elizabeth so angry?”

However, he did not dare to ask her about it.

If Elizabeth could read Andrew’s thoughts, she would have scolded him even more fiercely.

She grumbled to herself, “Most people would say ‘Don’t touch me, I have a wife, but why did Andrew have to say ‘My wife will be angry?

“Is he blaming his wife for not following the usual script?

Chapter 110

“Isn’t he just asking for a beating?”

Fuming angrily, Elizabeth cursed under her breath several times before removing the towel and summoning a servant to help Andrew change into his pajamas.

Afterward, she went downstairs and instructed the kitchen to prepare some hangover soup.

When Elizabeth returned, she caught sight of the servant bringing Andrew’s clothes to the bathroom.

“Don’t wash it,” Elizabeth ordered as she stopped the servant. “Just discard everything. I don’t want any of it left in this.

house.”

“Yes, Mrs. Hayes, the servant replied obediently. Although her heart ached for the expensive suit, the servant didn’t dare to resist Elizabeth’s order.

After the servant left, Elizabeth retrieved a towel from the bathroom to wipe Andrew’s body again.

However, when she emerged from the bathroom, Andrew was laying face down on the pillow.

If Andrew continued sleeping like that in his drunken state, it was highly possible that he would suffocate.

Elizabeth was taken aback by this and acted quickly to turn Andrew over. She noticed that his face was slightly flushed and sound asleep. In frustration, Elizabeth pinched his nose, causing Andrew to struggle to breathe.

“Elizabeth Hayes! Are you trying to murder your husband?” Andrew cried out as his eyes flung wide open.

“No!” Elizabeth hurriedly replied. She was so startled by his sudden outburst that she immediately released Andrew’s nose and retreated from the bed.

“Then, what do you think you’re doing?” Andrew questioned, pretending to be angry. “You’re the one who left me to drink alone, and instead of taking care of me, you are trying to kill me?

“Elizabeth Hayes, you’re pushing it too far.”

“I’m sorry,” Elizabeth Hayes apologized, her anger dissipating as she felt guilty.

Although she had saved Andrew, all these happened because of the incident in the psychology center.

Andrew chuckled softly as he lowered his eyes to conceal the smug expression that had spread across his face.

Finally, he had regained control of the situation.

“Don’t be angry.” Elizabeth said as she carefully approached Andrew. “I went to your company during the day to apologize.

“But there was an emergency in the psychology center, so I had to rush there.

“Then, all these happened tonight. So, I do owe you an explanation.”

As Elizabeth spoke, she looked at Andrew earnestly and stated, “Henry Hayes and I are in the past. I’m not the type to go back on my word.

“No matter how persuasive he may sound, you must trust that I will never have anything to do with him again

Andrew’s gaze fixated on Elizabeth’s serious and unfamiliar expression, and a sudden idea struck him.

“You have to prove it to me. With action.“You have to prove it to me with your actions, Andrew responded.

Elizabeth looked at Andrew in confusion, but then her expression changed to one of embarrassment when she realized what he meant. She blushed and nodded obediently before walking over slowly and unbuttoning Andrew’s pajamas.

The following scenes happened naturally, and this made up for the regret the couple felt that morning.

In fact, it was a little too much.

The next morning. Andrew sat at the dining table, intermittently rubbing his temples, which were throbbing painfully, at clear sign of a hangover. He regretted drinking so much the night before, as it had left him feeling extremely

uncomfortable.

Just as lie was considering whether to call Dr. Zayn to come over, Elizabeth arrived.

Upon entering the dining room, she glared at Andrew and made her way to the seat furthest away from him.

“Ahem,” Andrew coughed dryly, glancing at the seat beside him, silently signaling for Elizabeth to move closer.

Elizabeth snorted coldly and lowered her head to eat, pointedly ignoring him.

Andrew awkwardly touched the tip of his nose and stood up to pour himself a glass of water.

When he returned, Andrew naturally sat on the right side of Elizabeth and picked up a fruit fork to take a piece of corn from her bowl. “Yours is definitely sweeter than mine,” he remarked.

“Don’t touch my food!” Elizabeth hissed as she snatched the corn from Andrew with a scowl.

Chapter 110

After all, Elizabeth’s waist and legs were throbbing in pain, and she couldn’t ignore the throbbing sensation of a bite mark on her collarbone.

As such, it would be strange if she could still show him any courtesy after what he did.
