Planet XEE

Chapter Chapter Eight

(Eight years later)

Adinner party was in progress at a billionaire’s house. The house had been specially decorated for the party. The owner of the house, Mr A.K. Hood, entered the hall with his family and warmly welcomed his guests.

’My dear friends, colleagues and honourable guests, I am very pleased to welcome you all here this evening. As you all know, my good friends, our lives have been completely changed over the past couple of years. Our new way of thinking, our lifestyle, our theory, and our philosophy of life are all due to the kind visit of that gentleman, Ziddan, to our beautiful Planet Earth. He also promised to come back to take us all back with him to start a new life, a life that will have no end; a life that is full of peace, love and blessings. We believe he will come back to fulfil his promise. We also believe that his world must be beautiful, everlasting and worthy of inhabiting, and his efforts have made our world a paradise too. Today we are more secure and much further advanced. Now we also believe that our day-to-day experience of life can be such a peaceful and lovable thing by sharing our joys and our wealth with those who are in need – to respect everyone. We were truly pissed off by our politicians, social and business leaders and our own selfishness.

’My dear close friends and family members, I have invited you as special guests to spend this evening with us. Please do accept my apologies for not contacting you before Ziddan’s arrival. You all know that I had a hectic life as a businessman. Some of you tried to contact me and wished to meet up but I wasn’t available, due to my business commitments. I was always on the move, flying around the globe, turning every second into long digits on balance sheets. I have asked you all here this evening to apologise, to finally meet up with you and to enjoy this evening in the company of such beautiful and lovable people. As you all know, in the next two years or so we will be setting off on a new journey to the edge of the universe. There, we will have a new planet, a new moon and a new sun. We don’t exactly know what the place will be like, but we believe that it will be a fantastic place to live. We don’t even know whether we will be together on the same planet or on different ones, or whether we will be close enough to contact each other, or to meet each other in the vastness of the skies. We don’t know what it will take for us to be immortal or how long it will take us to fly and see the other solar systems, beautiful planets, stars, galaxies and the colourful nebulae in the dark sky. How long will it take us to be as powerful as Ziddan? After our arrival on Planet Xee, we don’t exactly know how long it will be before we can meet up again. So the reason for this party is to gather you all here together to have a wonderful time. It is up to us to make our remaining two years here on Earth as beautiful as possible. We will, of course, miss our beautiful marble blue planet; we will always remember it and will remember this special evening forever, too.

‘My dear fellows, we are going to have a wonderful time tonight. We will celebrate; we will enjoy good food and drink together. To make this evening unforgettable, the drinks, of your choice, will be served in gold goblets. You are requested to take these golden vessels with you when you leave the party – a humble gift, at this memorable time, from your old friend. Now, let’s start the celebrations!’

The hall echoed with, ‘Cheers!’ from everyone present.

As the party ended, two old friends who had not met for a long time, walked out to their cars together.

One of the fellows’ phones rang.

‘Is this Mr Smith?’

‘What’s the matter?’

The second friend waited quietly for the call to end and then looked questioningly at Mr Smith.

‘My bank wants to give me a loan I requested four years ago,’ Mr Smith explained, trying to insert his phone into his pocket. ‘I don’t need it any more.’

His phone struck an object, solid enough to make a sound as it touched.

‘What’s that metal?’ he mumbled to his friend and took a gold glass out of his pocket. ‘I don’t even need it, so why am I carrying it all the way home?’ he whispered to himself, throwing the glass away and rushing to the car.

They entered the car and tried to start it, but a warning sound went off. ‘You are drunk; you cannot drive the car.’

Mr Smith’s friend laughed out loudly, and said: ‘Oh, so your vehicle is also fitted with a DRUNK ALERT!’

Mr Smith tried again but the car still refused to start. After his third attempt, another message was heard: ‘You cannot drive the vehicle as you are drunk. A member of the Public Safety Department is on the way to take you home safely.’

Since the crime rate had dropped down to its lowest in modern human history, The Police Department had become The Public Safety Department. All the cars were now fitted with ‘DRUNK ALERT’ responding to a sensor on the driver’s seat and were connected to the PSD (Public Safety Department). The DRUNK ALERT sensor would not even allow the driver to start the vehicle and would automatically call the nearest PSD who would come out and deliver the drunk driver home in the PSD vehicle. However, as punishment, the drunk driver was required to act as a PSD driver for three weeks after the drunken incident.

In a tower apartment, an old woman was reading a book on the glass screen on her wall when a message flashed up on the screen. An autonomous medical assistant robot was requesting her to undergo a medical examination as some abnormal activity had been observed that morning. The woman put her finger on a medical strap that was integrated with a central laboratory. Minutes later, the robot appeared on the screen again and advised the woman to print her medicine on the provided 3D printer in her room. The prescription was emailed to her, instructing her to take the tablets according to the advice given.

By saving billions of dollars on a defence budget each year and spending that on education, the education system had now been revolutionised as well. There was now no need to spend four to five years on cramming the large volumes and terms of legal, medical, scientific, engineering, economical and all other degree subjects to be a master in any field. Now all the students needed to do was download their chosen subject and install them in their minds in just days, rather than spending years studying and memorising. The robot guide teacher did the rest. A six month practical analysis under the supervision of an autonomous robot and there they were – the professionals in different fields were ready to perform their jobs!

Passport-Free World Project.

A press conference was in progress at Birmingham City University, Birmingham, UK. Professor David Thomas, head of the Brain Study Department at the University, was delivering his keynote lecture.

’I am proud to introduce PFWP, the Passport Free World Project. As we all know, since wealth has been divided, it has changed the circumstances of a middle-class family. Migration and human trafficking has finally ended. We are thankful to Ziddan who made this possible for all of us. But the world tour industries have been increased since the scheme of ‘Pay Back’ – to pay expenditure back to the low income visitors on leaving the host country and to those visitors who are still struggling for a better life and cannot really afford their international trips and holidays. The host country is bound to refund the money to such visitors. We also know that terrorism has finally ended because there are no weapons left on the globe.

‘Therefore, to save us time at our borders and to move another step forward to a better and more dynamic world, I am announcing The Passport Free World Project that has already been tested at short range. In my opinion, we do not need to follow the old system of queuing for hours for documentation and going through the identity process, as we have developed MIND RADAR in our laboratory. The system is capable of working with our current CCTV technology. MIND RADAR has the technology to scan, read and analyse thousands of people at the same time and verify their identity. It is capable of detecting a single bad intention developing in a person’s mind that may be a threat to the city or to the nation. Any person detected with ill-intention will be bombarded with Taser rays, so rendering him or her senseless until they can be handed over to the Public Safety Department for further investigation.’

There was applause and cheers for the professor in the hall. After the questions concerning privacy and other issues, it was announced that the experimental project would begin within the next three months at Birmingham International Airport.
