Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 95

Chapter 95

When Bernard walked through the corridor, he stole a glance at Stella, who did not notice his gaze. All the

men’s eyes were on her tonight.

Feeling uneasy about the male attention she attracted, he deliberately called out to her from the corridor.”

Stella!”

She looked up and noticed the three men on the second floor. Bernard was there, his back leaning on the

railing. He was staring down at her with arrogance.

Her heart skipped a beat, but she said nothing.

“Mrs. Foley, you’re here! Joseph leaned forward, way over the rail, holding a glass of wine. His almond eyes looked at her lazily.

She replied flatly, “Please do not call me Mrs. Foley.”

“Old habits die hard,” he remarked coyly. “Let’s invite Mr. Perkins to have a drink with us. How does that

sound?”

Stella glanced at Yoel, who agreed to it. However, she was reluctant to join the men because she was there on a mission that night. She whispered to Yoel, ‘Mr. Perkins, why don’t you join them alone? I need to meet with Carrie. I have work tonight.”

“Alright, then, Be careful. Call me if you need anything.” he reminded her.

“I will.” She then walked away.

Everyone seemed shocked when she descended the stairs. Bernard questioned, “Why is she leaving?”

Yoel smiled knowingly. “She doesn’t like being in the presence of a particular someone.”

Bernard’s face turned pale, thinking Yoel must have taken a jab at him. Then, he scoffed before taking off

to meet with Jessica.

Brian did not look any happier than Bernard.

Back on the first floor, Stella made her way past the crowds. She was beautiful, like a fallen angel.

“Isn’t she that girl from the Yates family? Stella?” A group of socialites gathered around Stella and snickered Where did she get the money for that pretty dress when her family was bankrupted?”

They could tell that Stella’s dress was expensive just by looking at it.

Stella looked at her dress before turning to that socialite. “Is it pretty? I designed it myself.”  sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ ꜰindNʘvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

The said socialite was taken aback. Stella explained, “I founded my studio. I offer affordable design

services. Please reach out to me if you ever need a tailored outfit.” She took the chance to advertise her

business.

One of the ladies commented, “You have to admit, her designs are quite lovely.”

Another one accepted Stella’s business card. However, there was one lady who looked down on Stella, and she scoffed. “Where did you get the money to start a business after your family went bankrupt? Did

you get yourself a sugar daddy, by any chance?”

“That’s right. How did you know?” Stella fired back, her eyes widened.

The ladies looked astonished. “Wait, do you have a sugar daddy for real? Who is he?”

Stella had wanted to get back at that socialite by replying “your dad“.

However, she changed her mind after spotting Brian on the second floor from the corner of her eye. “It’s Brian Foley

“That’s impossible!” The ladies exclaimed in disbelief, as Brian was rumored to be dating the birthday girl,

Jessica. How could he have a sugar baby?

Moreover, he was rumored to be celibate. Anyway, no one believed in Stella’s words, and they thought she was lying

She grinned, relishing in their shocked reactions. Most people were in the dark about her relationship with Brian, as they had a secret marriage. But that did not matter anymore because they were divorced.

Before she knew it, a bodyguard approached her and addressed her politely. “Ms. Yates, Mr. Foley would

like to see you.

Mr. Foley? She looked up and saw Brian staring at her from the second floor, looking cool and ruthless in

his black suit.

Why did he want to see her? Sighing, she went to the second floor amid the looks from the socialites
