Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 55

Chapter 55

Why didn’t you try to persuade Brian earlier?” Stella looked at him with amusement. “Now that there’s a child involved, what’s the point in telling me all this?”

“Maybe the child isn’t Brian’s?” Joseph voiced his suspicion, though he doubted it himself. He couldn’t say anything since Brian wouldn’t explain.

Stunned silent for a moment, Stella shook her head. “But if the child isn’t his, why does he care so much?”

Indeed.

Joseph didn’t understand this either. Brian’s attentiveness to Jessica’s pregnancy was unusual, leaving everyone to speculate about his motives.

Joseph wamed, “I still think you should be more careful, if you really get together with Yoel, you and Brian

will never be able to go back.“.  sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ ꜰindNʘvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Stella didn’t care anymore. Staring down at the snowboard, she muttered, “I just hope to

from him as soon as possible.”

Joseph was taken aback. “You’re already at the point of getting a divorce?”

at a divorce

“Yeah,” Stella said, glancing at him. “If you really want to help, go convince Brian to give me a quick

divorce.”

“Brian isn’t going to divorce you?”

Stella explained, “He says it’s because my dad schemed against him, and he wants to torture me for the

rest of my life.”

Joseph was stunned.

He glanced towards Brian, who stared back with cold, chilling eyes

Was this revenge

Or was it just deep affection he was unaware of?

Joseph was deep in thought as Stella struggled to practice snowboarding beside him. She had gotten the hang of it, but her movements were still a bit clumsy

Suddenly, someone passed by behind her and gave her a push on the back.

Stella lost her balance and slid down the slope, a startled cry escaping her lips as she heard Joseph shout, “Bernard!”

COLE Stella’s scream echoed through the air.

“Ah

She had just heard Joseph yell at Bernard

It must have been Bernard who pushed her.

The wind howled past her ears, and Stella was so scared that she held her breath.

In a daze, she recalled the method Yoel had taught her. She adjusted her breathing and sat down, leaving it to fate whether she would fall to her death.

Brian and Yoel heard her scream. Their faces changed, and they slid down to her as fast as they could.

Stella hugged herself in fear, her eyes staring blankly at the white snow stretching before her. Only when a warm embrace enveloped her did she realize she’d been stopped.

Sliding down a bit further, she bumped her head against Brian’s waist.

Brian groaned.

Stella blushed and didn’t dare to look up.

“Did you do that on purpose?” Brian asked with a look of anger as he helped her up.

A deeper blush rose on Stella’s cheeks. He reached to pull her up, but in her haste, she tangled their limbs, and they both tumbled into the soft snow.

In a tight embrace, Stella nestled beneath Brian as they tumbled down the slope again.

“Ah! Stella screamed again.

Brian said in a deep voice, “Hold on to me.”

“Oh!”

Clinging to him, the fresh scent of pine filled her nostrils. A jolt sent them flying into the air, and they

landed together in a snow pit.

“Brian’s face contorted. In reflex, he shoved her aside, tumbling into the pit himself.

Stella landed on him. Her soft body was cushioned by his, and she was unharmed.

She hadn’t expected Brian to rush over to save her.

“Are you okay?” She looked up at him, his entire body cushioning her.
