Chapter 165 

Stella was perplexed. Was that guy mistaken? Why did he call her Bernard’s girlfriend when she wasn’t? 

She didn’t bother to explain to that person since she didn’t even know him. Pretending not to notice Brian’s gaze, she walked to Bernard and asked, “Can we go?” 

“Sorry, everyone. I promised to go to a movie with her. We will leave first. With an excuse, Bernard left the private room with Stella. 

Joseph’s jaw dropped. He turned to look at Brian “Brian, what’s going on between Stella and Bernie?” 

Brian suddenly crushed the wine glass in his hand, his face gloomy. 

Everyone glanced toward Brian in shock, wondering why he got angry all of a sudden. Brian got up and went out, and Joseph went after him. 

In the corridor, Stella nearly fell as her high heels suddenly broke. Bernard supported her. “Are you okay?” 

“The heel seems to be broken. Stella raised her foot and took a look. Indeed, it broke. 

When Bernard bent down to check the heel, Brian came out of the private room. 

Seeing Bernard crouching before Stella, Brian thought he was going to touch her leg. His face fell. He rushed over, seized Bernard’s wrist, and threw him away. 

Bernard fell to the floor, letting out a shriek “Argh! It hurts!” 

“What are you doing?” Stella stood in front of Bernard, shielding him. 

Although she didn’t understand what happened, she could tell something was wrong. Brian exuded a violent aura, and he looked dangerous. 

Glaring at Stella coldly, Brian grasped her hand and took her away 

“Stella“” Bernard shouted. 

At this time, Joseph caught up. Seeing Bernard fall on the floor, he ran over to help him up. “Are you 

alright?” 

“Brian took Stella away!” Looking anxious, Bernard wanted to go after them. 

Joseph stopped him, “Forget it. Don’t cause trouble.” 

“How am I causing trouble? You didn’t see Brian’s look. He can harm Stella.” 

“He won’t.” Joseph frowned. “He may beat you up, but not her. You don’t know Brian. He loves Stella” 

Bernard was bewildered. “Isn’t Brian in love with Jessica?” 

“From what can you tell that?” Joseph was speechless. “He never loved Jessica.” 

Bernard didn’t believe it. “Isn’t it said in the news that Jessica is Brian’s first crush, with whom he has 

been in love for ten years?” 

“Jessica has marketed that herself. Brian has never been in love with her.” Joseph couldn’t believe Bernard “By the way, don’t you have a crush on Jessica? Did you fall in love with Stella?” 

Bernard pouted. “Brian hurt her. I feel sorry for her.” 

“Come on! Do you seriously feel sorry for her? Or are you actually trying to steal her from Brian?” 

“They’re divorced. I can pursue her ” Bernard looked self-righteous. Stella was single. Why couldn’t he pursue her? 

Joseph said helplessly. “If you dare pursue Stella, Brian will kill you,” 

Bemard was taken aback. “Does he love her so much? 

“Feel free to try.” Seeing Bemard’s face turn pale, Joseph patted his shoulder. “Bernie, forget it. A man shouldn’t covet his friend’s wife. Don’t mess with Stella. What she means to Brian is not as simple as you 

think 

Seeing Bernard keep quiet, Joseph added, “Stop thinking about meaningless things. Let’s go for a drink.”
