Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 164

Chapter 164

Bernard grabbed a bottle of orange juice and a plate of grilled squid from the table before heading to the

small room.

Upon hearing the door opening. Stella glanced up at him. “Are we leaving?” She couldn’t wait to get dinner

over with and then go home.

Bernard put down the food, smiled, and said, “Not yet. A friend of mine has returned from abroad today. We’re having a welcome party for him. Wait for a bit. We can leave in a while.”

Stella found it strange. “Then why are you not keeping your friend company?”

“They’re drinking too much. I’ve just been hospitalized recently, and my body can’t take it.”

Meanwhile, the private room door opened. Brian and Joseph came in. Joseph asked, “Is Bernie not here

yet?

Somebody made a shushing gesture. “He’s been here for a while. He is keeping his girlfriend company in

the small room now.”  Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the (F)indNƟvᴇl.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Girlfriend?” Joseph looked astonished. “When did Bernie get a girlfriend?”

“We met her for the first time as well. She’s beautiful!” Everybody cheered and chattered.

“Bernie is rarely in love. We must give him a congratulatory gift.”

“I’ll send him ten thousand condoms, wishing him a loving night every night with his girlfriend!”

“Then I’ll reserve the presidential suite for them for a year with an all–year pass to scenic spots. May they

have a wonderful date every day!”

The private room was bustling with noise. Uninterested in the topic, Brian sat down in a chair.

Joseph poured him a glass of wine. Then, the two clinked their glasses.

Joseph remarked, “It’s surprising that a lifelong bachelor like Bernie has fallen in love. I thought he had a crush on Jessica before and never expected him to have a girlfriend so soon,”

“Good for him. Brian’s tone was plain.

Hearing the commotion outside, Stella asked, “Why is it so noisy?”

“Maybe they are drunk.” Glancing over, Bernard suggested, “I go out now, and you can go out in five minutes. Then I’ll find an excuse to leave with you.”

“Okay” Stella nodded, taking a sip of orange juice.

As soon as Bernard emerged, everyone cheered. “Let us meet your girlfriend!”

“Stop it!” Bernard snapped, his smile never dropping, though. Seeing as Brian had come, Bernard

subconsciously looked over,

Brian glanced at Bemard silently, taking another sip of wine. Bernard felt somewhat guilty. But then he

reassured himself that Stella had divorced Brian, and he could pursue her now that she was single.

After all, who else could Brian blame? He had cheated on Stella first and made Jessica pregnant.

When Bernard returned to his seat, Joseph asked curiously, “Your girlfriend’s here? Who is she? Show

Brian and me.”

Bernard did not answer. At this moment, the door of the small room opened.

Everyone glanced over. Stella stood at the door in a light–colored gauze dress, her face fair, looking like a fairy Stella didn’t expect to see Brian here, nor did Brian expect Stella. The two looked at each other a distance apart

Someone exclaimed, “She is Bernie’s girlfriend!”

Coldness instantly filled Brian’s eyes.
