My Wife Wants a Divorce by Red Little Fruit

Chapter 981 Surprise upon Surprise

Now, this felt like a challenge.

She decided not to argue with him since he was the one who had just redeemed the prize at the front desk.

Sydney rolled her eyes at the man. "I asked you if we should go back, but you insisted on coming in."

She surveyed the elevator and cringed.

The exterior of the building was pink.

And the elevator was pink too.

When she was in the lobby just now, everything in sight was pink. It seemed to be the main hue of this place.

This was probably the pinkest building in the world.

Pink was a youthful, dreamy, and girlish color.

But too much of it would be garish.

She just wanted to flee and wondered how the male customers of this hotel put up with it.

And the ratings were so good.

She didn't get it.

"I'm a man of my word. I can't go back on it and leave, although the atmosphere here is awkward," Julien said seriously, looking at Sydney.

Sydney slapped her head in frustration.

She couldn't believe this man passed the buck to her.

He proposed coming here and got her consent.

But now, he sounded like she was the one who made the request.

So, she gave Julien a contemptuous look.

Knowing what it stood for, Julien cringed, cleared his throat, and looked away.

That was a sign of his guilt.

Actually, he would not leave because of what Hunter had told him.

That playboy used to take his girlfriend here.

There was a time they drank together. Hunter talked about a lot of things, including this hotel. In his words, this hotel was phenomenal with wonderful facilities for couples. Disgusted by his description, Julien didn't listen much or intend to go to this kind of place.

The situation changed when he had Leaf and won the prize. What Hunter had said suddenly came back to him. Intrigued, he wanted to have a try with Leaf and see if it was really so exciting. Otherwise, he would have turned to leave at the sight of the odd shape of the hotel.

The color was too garish and was a challenge to his endurance.

He hoped that this couple's hotel lived up to its reputation.

Or else, he would buy it the next day and turn it into a business hotel.

"Here we are!" Julien said when the elevator stopped.

Sydney didn't know which floor their room was on. She didn't ask, and Julien didn't tell.

So, there they were.

Julien came out of the elevator hand in hand with Sydney. Once outside, she was shocked.

In her mind, the decorations in the lobby and the elevator were gaudy enough.

To her surprise, the corridor to the presidential suite was even more grandiose.

The various patterns of hearts and couple dolls could be seen every few steps.

The corners of Sydney's mouth twitched.

Julien was expressionless, but his breathing was getting rapid.

'What the hell is all this?'

"Let's go. Maybe the room is not bad." Sydney half covered her eyes to elude the sight of the pompous decoration.

She doubted the taste of the hotel owner and if he had hired the wrong person to design the hotel.

What were they thinking?

Some couple's elements would be enough.

But the owner or the designer had put all the elements they could think of into the decorations.

It resulted in such an exaggerated and disorderly style.

This was a disaster, but their business was booming.

She didn't get it.

"Do you really think so?" Julien curled his lips and pointed to the corridor upon hearing Sydney's self-consolation, "Doesn't all of this already give us an answer?" Sydney was silent for a few seconds before she said, "I'm just deceiving myself to feel better."

In fact, she wasn't expecting anything good in the suite.

Julien rubbed his brows. "Alright, let's go and find out."

"Yeah." Sydney nodded.

They soon arrived at the suite.

The door was also pink.

Sydney looked away and let the man face it alone.

He was holding the room card anyway.

Julien saw through her intentions and smiled helplessly.

This woman didn't appreciate his effort.

Julien grumbled inwardly as he opened the door.

With a creak, the door was opened slightly.

A refreshing fragrance immediately came out.

It smelled quite good. She couldn't help but turn her head back and sniff.

"It smells good." Her eyes lit up.

"Yeah." Julien nodded.

Even a person insensitive to fragrance like him smelled it. The smell was good and not pungent at all.

This was the first thing he felt good about the hotel since he came in.

Sydney sniffed again and said, "Given the extravagant decoration, I thought the perfume would be pungent. Now, this is surprising."

"Indeed." Julien hummed.

"Now I'm kind of eager to see the room. Maybe it's not as bad as we think," Sydney said with a smile.

"Let's find out." Julien squeezed her hand, put his other hand on the door panel, and gave it a push.

The door opened, and the lights lit up automatically.

In that instant, Sydney felt like entering the universe.

In the doorway, she looked around and exclaimed in shock.

Julien was surprised too.

That was because the decoration in the room was completely different from that in the corridor.

The outside was bizarre, while the inside was artistic.

The starry universe was the theme of the suite. The walls were imprinted with various planetary patterns, and the ambient lights above their heads highlighted the cosmic mystery. It felt like they were really in the universe.

The bed was round too and decorated with beautiful cosmic patterns.

"It's beautiful." Sydney's eyes were filled with the scenery in the room. She pulled her hand out and entered the room in surprise.

Julien closed the door, nodding in satisfaction while following behind her.
