Moonville Series 1: Secret Lovers

Alex felt very happy upon seeing her friends.

"Alex!" Issay squealed as she went to Alex and embraced her.

"That scream is too much," Steffi commented, kissing Alex on the cheeks.

"I just really missed her, you know," Issay explained. "How about you? Did you not miss her?"

Sam was the last one to greet and hug Alex. After that, Alex sat down on the vacant chair beside Sam.

"I did," Steffi answered. "But I won't squeal like that. Lucky for you, the others are busy chatting with each other that they did not notice."

"Will you two stop?" Sam told her two friends. "We just had Alex again. Why do you have to argue?"

"I missed you, guys," Alex said as if she's about to cry.

"We also missed you," Issay said to Alex. "Just transfer to Business School already."

Alex giggled at what she said.

"Sure. If we have Fine Arts in BS, then why not?" Steffi said.

Issay did not contest what Steffi said. She just asked, "Why is it that we don't have any similar subject?"

"That's right," Sam agreed. "Out of all our subjects, we don't have any similarities."

"I guess, that's fate," was what Alex managed to say.

"Speaking of fate, there are a lot of things I wanna ask you," said Issay.

"Really?" Sam asked. "Are there a lot you want to ask?"

"Your nosiness is striking again," Steffi said to Issay.

"Nosy already? Don't tell me you don't want to know these things as well?" Issay said. "What do you want to know?" asked Alex. "You didn't even ask how I am, Issay."

"That's right," Steffi agreed.

"Eee! I know you're well. And we're also fine, as you can see," said Issay.

Alex didn't comment on that. If only they know what she's going through right now.

"And so, this is what you just tell us," Issay continued.

"What is it?" Alex asked.

"How did Bryan de Vera become your sister's boyfriend?"

"What?" Alex did not expect that question.

"Well, you know, Bryan de Vera is her crush," Steffi said, giggling.

Alex and Sam also laughed at Issay.

"Who would not fall for a Bryan de Vera? Admit it, you also have a crush on him!" Issay said to Steffi and Sam.

"It started during the Business School orientation," Steffi said. "It was love at first sight. Issay is sitting next to Bryan and his friends. That was the first time Issay saw him since he did not study here for high school, right?" "Yeah," Alex said. "He came from Manila."

"He's just so handsome, and he's such a gentleman," Issay said, making her three friends laugh.

"Issay was so humiliating," Sam said. "She can't take her eyes off Bryan. When he noticed it, I kind of felt he was weirded out. But because he's so nice, what he did was he offered her his bottled water." Steffi and Alex laughed, making Issay scowl.

"I thought I would share his bottled water, like we essentially kissed! But then, what he gave me is an unopened bottle. The seal is still intact!" Issay said.

The three laughed again.

"Then, during the Ms. BS, he even dedicated his song to his angel. Who would have thought that he's referring to Angel Martinez? Hmp!" Issay is so disappointed she just crossed her arms on her chest.

Alex laughed so hard because of how Issay acted. Then he realized, for the first time after a long time, she was able to laugh again. And it's because of her friends. She felt glad that she was able to be with them again. She felt so overwhelmed tears started forming on her eyes.

Good thing Issay talked again.

"Your sister is really very good in keeping secrets."

"Well, it's a very long story," Alex said. "But the thing is, they really love each other. So Issay, I'm sorry but you don't have a chance with Bryan. He's totally head over heels Ate Angel."

"I do understand. How will I ever compare to an Angel Martinez?" Issay said.

"You know, Ate would surely laugh once she heard this," Alex said.

"Because she was flanking in her class. Her quizzes were all low because all she thinks about are her crushes," Alex said, defending her sister. Though she doesn't really need to do that because her friends all agree with her opinion about Angel. "That's why she was reprimanded by Ate Angel," Steffi said.

"She's just concerned about you, Issay," Sam said.

"I know that," Issay said. "I know that Ate Angel is kind. That's why she deserves Bryan de Vera. They are a good match, right?"

"So, you're not jealous anymore?" Alex asked Issay.

"She already cried her heart out, actually," Steffi said.

The three friends laughed again. As for Issay, she just scowled at the three.

"Actually, Issay is the number one fan of your Ate Angel and Bryan's love team," Steffi said to Alex.

Issay smiled. "Brangelica forever! Those who will disagree, they will lose their hair. That Gina Aguilar, she better not interfere again with Angel Martinez and Bryan de Vera's love for each other."

Her three friends laughed again.

"Then why did you not defend Ate Angel when Gina confronted her?" Alex asked Issay. She's very amused at her friend's antics.

"Because I was as shocked as everyone else! What I know is that Ate Angel and Bryan are classmates. I didn't know they were dating," Issay said. "I was actually thinking of asking your Ate's help with Bryan. But it turns out he's already in love. With her."

"Do you know how she reacted when she found out about Ate Angel and Bryan?" Sam asked Alex. "She even said she wants to drink because she feels so bad."

Alex giggled as she looked back at Issay, who scowled again.

"Wait! There's something that I want to ask," Issay suddenly said.

"Richard Quinto." She pointed at the guy she mentioned.

Fortunately, Alex immediately thought of an excuse. "Richard is Bryan's cousin, so we also get to hang out sometimes."

"That is hard! He's your crush, right?" Steffi asked.

"Well, what can we do?" Alex looked away. "We can't be together."

"You're in a very difficult situation, Girl," Issay said.

"This is all your parents' fault," Steffi said. "If they don't have a grudge against each other, then you can have a happy ever after."

Alex shrugged. "That's fate."

"You know, what I hear is that Richard is actually courting Kim," Sam told them.

"Is that true, Alex?" Asked Steffi.

"I don't know," Alex answered. "He doesn't tell me. We don't actually talk," she lied.

She hopes her friends did not notice her sudden change of mood. It felt as if something stabbed her heart upon hearing what Sam said. So, everyone thinks that Richard is courting Kim. Is that how close they are that people think of them as such?

"Well, can we blame Richard? Kim is Ms. BS. She's got the beauty, and according to what I hear about her, she's also very nice," said Issay.

"She also has a lot of admirers," Steffi said. "Almost all my guy classmates have a crush on her since she joined the Ms. BS." "Those who don't are your admirers," Issay said to Steffi.

"Don't mention the obvious," Steffi said to Issay.

Alex's mood worsened again because of what she's hearing from her friends. That's why she discretely changed the subject.

"How about your classmates, Issay? Isn't it that Edward Cullen is in your class?"

"Oh, that!" Issay suddenly became excited. "Girl, he's really so very handsome. As in!"

Again, the three were amused at Issay's antics. She then went on telling them about this guy she has a crush with. Alex was glad that from that moment on, her friends never asked or talked about Richard and Kim again.
