Moonville Series 1: Secret Lovers

Before the start of the parade, Alex and Richard decided to transfer to another location. Since they have different teams - Purple Penguins for Alex and Red Tamaraws for Richard - they've decided to look for a spot that is neutral for the two of them. Alex decided to go to where the high school students are located.

"Are you sure about this?" Richard asked her as they made their way through the seats of various audience.

"Trust me. I know what I'm doing."

They finally arrived at their destination, wherein the officers of the student council of the high school department are seated. Alex talked to the officers, particularly the president Maureen Santiago. "Hi Mau!" she said to her.

"Ate Alex!" Maureen smiled. "Hi!"

"Can we stay here?" She indicated herself and Richard. "We're caught up between two opposing teams." She winced.

"Sure." Maureen readied two seats for them. "Here."

"Thanks." Alex sat down.

Richard said thank you to Maureen before he sat down beside Alex. "Thanks. By the way, I'm Richard." He held out his hand.

"Hi, Kuya!" Maureen shook hands with him. Then she looked at Alex. "Is he your boyfriend, Ate?"

"Huh?" Alex felt like all her blood went to her face. "Uhm... The parade is starting! Let's... Let's watch." She ignored Maureen and looked in front.

Alex felt a little relieved when the participants of the parade started entering the venue. Though she's aware that Richard was smiling because of what Maureen asked her earlier.

The athletes started gathering in front of the stage, as well as the other participants of the parade. These includes the school org officials, the school publication staff, and the muses of each team. For the Business School, Kim is the muse accompanied by Bryan and the other athletes of the Green Tigers.

"Look at Kim," Richard said to Alex. "She stands out among the other muses."

It's Kim again... Alex thought that she and Richard are okay now. But then, he just keeps on saying the wrong things. She can't help but feel irritated again.

"Just what team do you belong to?" she asked crankily. "Those are the Green Tigers of Business School. You're with Red Tamaraws, right? You're even wearing a red T-shirt."

"I know, but Kim is our friend that's why I'm supporting her. You should do that, too. "

"She's not my friend," she murmured.

Richard didn't hear that properly. "What did you say?"

"Nothing," she answered peevishly.

"You know what? Kim adores you. You and your sister Angel. I didn't know you're that famous here in CPRU. A lot of students look up to you. Kim said you're not only good academically. You also excel in extra curricular activities. You also became the president of your student council, both you and Angel." Richard looked and sounded very proud as he said that to her.

Which annoyed Alex more. And that's because of Kim, because she's so nice and she could not find anything she can criticize her with. She's just so perfect. And she's getting more annoyed because of that.

The opening program finally begun. Everyone was asked to stand up for the singing of the doxology song, followed by the national anthem of the Philippines.

After the opening program, everyone proceeded to the school cafeteria for lunch. The sports competition will begin in a couple of hours, and that includes basketball. That is why Angel is making sure Bryan eats a lot by putting a lot of food on his plate.

"You know, I might get indigestion, and I might not be able to play," Bryan said to Angel who is sitting beside him.

"You won't get indigestion. You need to eat a lot so that you have strength for your game later," Angel said as she continued putting food on Bryan's plate.

"Wow! Your girlfriend is so sweet, Bry," Richard commented.

"Alex is also sweet," Angel said to Richard.

"But I'm not exaggerated like you are, Ate." Alex said as she scowled.

"Why are you so grumpy?" Angel asked to her sister. "After being with Richard all morning?"

Alex felt more annoyed. She is still not over with what happened earlier during the opening program. And as if Fate is really playing with her, Kim and her friends suddenly arrived. "Kim!" Richard called.

"Hi Richard!" Kim said as she went to him. She also greeted Angel, Alex at Bryan.

"Lunch?" Richard asked Kim.

Kim nodded. "Yeah, but it seems there's no free table anymore. It seems like all the students of CPRU are here right now."

"AS if you're not yet used to this," Alex said. "Like this is not where you had your high school."

Angel noticed the sarcasm in Alex's tone. "But of course, high school is different than college."

"Here," Richard said to Kim. "There are still vacant seats on our table."

The four of them are in a six-seater table, so there's two chairs to spare. Kim is with her three friends, though.

"Those are just two seats, Chard," Kim said. "We'll just look for another table."

"Wait!" Richard said. He stood up and went to the next table. There's one vacant seat, and he asked the occupants if he can take it, to which they agreed.

Alex felt more mad that Richard is exerting so much effort just for Kim and her friends to be with them. Bryan and Angel are just looking, though Angel is trying to watch out her sister's reaction. She's aware she's not liking what's happening. "We still need one more chair," Kim said with a smile, obviously glad at what Richard is doing for them.

"I'll look for another one," Richard said as he looked around.

And Alex turned to full blast beast mode. She can't stay on that table anymore because she might not be able to control herself. Then suddenly, she saw someone.

"Kim, you can sit on my chair." She stood up and put her food on the tray.

"Where are you going?" Angel asked Alex.

"To Issay." She pointed to the table where her friends are. Coincidentally, her three friends saw her as well. Issay waved at her, and she waved back before taking her food tray and her things. "See you around." She immediately went to her friends.

Richard could only look on as Alex leave their table.

"It's been a long time since she's with her friends," Angel said.

Richard can do nothing but just watch Alex. Kim sat down at the chair previously taken by Alex. She smiled at Richard and he smiled back. Though, after that, Richard's attention went back to Alex who is speaking happily with her friends at the moment.
