Jenna took off her sunglasses, revealed her identity, and said, “I’m here to discuss a contract with Mr. Franco.

“Apologies, but an appointment is required beforehand. Mr. Franco is currently in a meeting. Once it ends, I will notify him. If he consents, you may meet with him.”

“Then make an appointment for me now, Jenna said arrogantly.

The receptionist repeated, “Mr. Franco is in a meeting.

“Okay, I’ll wait for him,” she said.

As she spoke, she sat down in the reception area.

Despite her air of sophistication, she occasionally overheard the front desk staff gossiping.

“So that’s Jenna!”

“It seems like she doesn’t look as stunning as she does on TV”

“You’re stupid. Nowadays, people often use filters to enhance their appearance on TV. Stars are just regular people in fact. The makeup she’s wearing is quite thick. I bet she doesn’t look as good without all those products on her face!”

“What does she want from Mr. Franco!”

“Mr. Franco has never collaborated with any female stars in the entertainment industry before. Is she looking to advance her career by utilizing unspoken rules?”

Jenna managed to keep her anger in check as she listened to the gossip until the receptionist approached her and said, “Mr. Franco’s meeting just ended, and he has given us his approval. You may go up now!

“Okay.”

The receptionist walked to the elevator and swiped her card for Jenna. Just as Jenna was about to walk into the elevator, she suddenly thought of something and asked with a smile, “Do you think I’m beautiful?”

“What?”

The receptionist was stunned for a moment before quickly saying, “Yes, you’re very beautiful!”

“Would you say I’m more beautiful on TV or in real life?”

“You look beautiful both on TV and in real life

“Humph, as a receptionist, it’s important to act professionally at all times. If you want to talk about people, you should at least keep your voice down.”

As she spoke, she gently stroked her hair and entered the elevator..

The receptionist watched the elevator doors close with a smile. When the elevator went up, she cursed, “Lunatic!”

Alan welcomed her warmly when the elevator reached the floor and took her to the president’s office.

As soon as she stepped in, she turned around and ordered, “Close the door. I have something to talk to Mr. Franco

about alone!”

“Oh, okay.”

Then Alan closed the door.

Charlie sat at his desk with his phone in his hand. When he saw her coming, he put down the phone and asked nonchalantly, “What’s up?”

Chapter 55

“Mr. Franco!”

Jenna walked over with a sweet smile and sat down on the sofa in front of the desk. “I came here specifically to explain what happened the other day.”

“The other day?”

“I’m talking about what happened on set a few days ago…

Charlie couldn’t be bothered to listen to her explanation.

Jenna couldn’t accept being rejected right from the start After thinking for a while, she said with a smile, “Actually. I’ve done some research into the situation between you and Kamryn. I’ve also looked into your son’s condition. I accept that it may have been rude, but I was genuinely concerned for my sister. You may not be aware of the particulars of our family’s affairs. Kamryn has always disliked me, likely because I took her fiancé. I understand why she feels this way and do not blame her for it. But it was not my fault. Had she been faithful to Wyatt, I would not have married into the Sexton family in her place…”

Charlie interrupted her coldly. “Just cut to the chase. I don’t like beating around the bush.”

“Alright…”

Jenna clenched her fists, bit her lip, and continued, “Do you want Kamryn to give birth to a child for you?”

Charlie raised his eyebrows. When he looked at her again, his eyes were already ice cold.

“I didn’t look into this on purpose, I am just concerned about how Kamryn’s been lately. Then I found that you two had a close relationship, and I learned this matter after speaking with others…”

“And then!”

“Is that true?”

Her voice suddenly grew excited. “Do you really want Kamryn to give birth to a child for you?”

“Since you’ve been asking around so much, you should know that I need another child. And Kamryn’s blood type is the only one that matches. If she is willing, I would be incredibly grateful.”

“Incredibly gratefull Good heavens!” Jenna thought.

Her face contorted with jealousy.

Charlie would be incredibly grateful to Kamryn simply because of her rare blood type.

Jenna thought that she could do the same.

For some reason, she suddenly said, “Actually, Kamryn is my sister. If her blood type is a successful match, then

mine…”

As she spoke, she deliberately puffed out her chest, her low–cut collar exposing more of her cleavage.

Charlie raised his eyebrows slightly and vaguely understood why she was here.

“You mean..

“If Kamryn’s blood type is a successful match, then mine should work too! I can’t bear to see her go through another pregnancy, especially after the miscarriage she experienced previously, Miscarriages can be incredibly damaging to the womb, and I understand the difficulty she may face in conceiving again. I felt sorry for your son after I heard about his condition. If you’re open to it, I’d be more than happy to take Kamryn’s place to help you.”

After a long silence, Charlie suddenly asked, “Do you mean that you want to give birth to a child for me?”

“Yes!”

Jenna smiled and said, “It’d be my great honor to be able to help you, Mr. Franco! And this is my only chance to make it up to Kamryn!”

Charlie couldn’t help sneering. “Oh, are you serious?”

Jenna forced a smile. “Mr. Franco, do you have any misgivings?”

“I remember that you are married.”

Charlie’s slender fingers tapped lightly on the table, and he asked, “Wouldn’t Wyatt mind?”

“He would understand me! I’ll explain it well to him. Or, it might not be a big deal to keep it a secret for now…”

“Explain?”

Charlie sneered. “How would you explain that?”

At first, Jenna thought that Charlie was just worried about Wyatt’s thoughts, so she immediately said, “Don’t worry, Mr. Franco. I’ll explain it well to him when I see him later.

“Well, then, why don’t you explain it to him right now?”

When Jenna heard this, she didn’t quite understand. Charlie suddenly put the phone on the table and signaled her with his eyes. Confused, she picked it up and found that it was already connected.

The caller was not identified, but the number was familiar to her.

It was Wyatt!

Jenna’s eyes widened in shock, and she almost lost her grip on the phonet

She screamed inside her head. “Wyatt?! Why is Charlie on the phone with Wyatt?”

She looked at the phone again and found that it had been connected for 10 minutes.

In other words, they had been talking on the phone since she entered the room!

This also meant that Wyatt had heard the conversation between her and Charlie clearly!

A deafening silence filled the air on the other end of the line.

The only sound was Wyatt’s heavy breathing, suggesting a hint of anger.
