Jenna glared at Mareli and said meaningfully, “Mareli, are you suggesting something?”

“Oh, Jenna, who do you take me for? I was just saying. I wasn’t serious!”

Jenna pondered for a moment and asked, “Is Charlie… really that good?”

“I heard from a friend of mine who is a senior bank manager that Charlie has an account there with a deposit of 20 million dollars every day…

Jenna gasped when she heard that “That much?”

Though Wyatt earned a lot, he didn’t have a cash flow like that even in a month.

Moreover, the debt ratio of the Sexton Group had reached 65 percent, way higher than a healthy standard.

Mareli beamed with joy. “Uh–huh, and this is just one bank account. My friend said the Franco family has similar accounts in many banks. I don’t know about his other accounts, but I don’t think they’ll have a small cash flow. Just imagine, if Kamryn is really lucky enough to marry Charlie, she’ll turn into a noble lady from a beggar on the street!”

Jenna snorted coldly. Out of jealousy or unwillingness, she didn’t agree. “Even if Charlie is willing to marry her, his family won’t allow that! A noble family like this is probably picky about their daughters–in–law, isn’t it?”

Mareli continued, “My friend said that Charlie has the final say in the Franco family, and Raphael Franco just loves Charlie and his grandson. So, if Kamryn manages to save that grandson, Raphael would probably do anything in return. And, even if Raphael doesn’t like her, Charlie has the final say.”

Jenna gritted her teeth. “Then let’s tell them about Kamryn’s past and see if they can still take her as their daughter–in-

law!”

“If I were you, I would just tell Charlie If Kamryn can bear children for you, I can too. However, you don’t necessarily have to do that for real. Let’s keep him anxious. At least, we should beat Kamryn to it”

Jenna still felt unsure. “What if Wyatt finds out? How am I gonna explain?”

The moment she finished speaking, Wyatt’s voice rang from the door.

“Explain what?”

Both Jenna and Mareli were startled.

They looked at the door in fear. Wyatt was leaning against the door frame with a smile on his face. Jenna immediately regained her composure and smiled to hide her nervousness. “Wyatt, why are you here?”

“I have nothing to do at the company today, so I came to see you.”

“When did you come?”

Just now.”

As Wyatt spoke, he walked in. “What were you guys talking about? Were you talking about me?

Jenna secretly observed his expression and only calmed down when she didn’t find anything unusual. “Why didn’t your call? If I wasn’t at the company, wouldn’t you have come for nothing?”

“I called, but you

didn’t pick up. So I went to the set first. You were not there. I checked your schedule today and

guessed that you must be in the company, so here I am.”

Noticing something off about Jenna, Wyatt became puzzled. “Why? You didn’t want me to come? Did I disturb you?”

“No.”

“Then why do you look so serious? You seem unhappy.”

Jenna was silent for a moment before she suddenly sighed.

Wyatt looked even more serious. “What’s going on, babe? What happened? Can you tell me?”

“I feel that Kamryn might hate me now.”

“What’s the matter?”

Speaking of Kamryn, Wyatt still looked slightly awkward. “Hasn’t she always been like this, never returning your favors?”

“Here’s the thing. I wanted her to be my body double in a bathing scene. I just wanted her to show her back, nothing else. But I guess the director did ask too much that day, so she must hate me right now.”

Wyatt turned displeased somehow. “You’ve told me about that. It’s a scene where you’ll have to get half–naked. You got her to do that for you?”

“Well, she agreed too!!

Jenna continued, “Besides, you don’t want me to reveal myself too much in front of the camera either, right?”

Wyatt looked away. He looked obviously angry about the matter.

“I think you haven’t gotten over her yet! I know you guys dated for years, but after all that I’ve done for your family, I still mean nothing to you?”

Wyatt took a deep breath. “Jenna, don’t be unreasonable!”

Jenna blinked and said, “It was Charlie who picked her up that day. I heard that there was something going on between them. If she complains to him about this, the Franco Group will not spare any of us!”

“How would that be?”

Wyatt smiled. “Kamryn’s reputation has been completely ruined. Who would’ve taken her in?”

“Who knows?”

“Don’t worry! I’ll make the time to talk to Charlie.”

Jenna’s heart raced. “You know Charlie?”

“We met at the J20 Commercial Summit before.”

However, Wyatt didn’t know if Charlie remembered him.

The truth was at the summit, Wyatt took the initiative to talk to Charlie, but Charlie didn’t notice him. Of course, Wyatt’s pride wouldn’t allow him to admit that he felt inferior.

Wyatt held Jenna’s shoulders to comfort her. “Alright, Jenna, stop worrying. It’s better to care about yourself. It’s this pressure you put on yourself that makes you unable to have a baby.”
