Mate ...s ?!?!

Chapter Chapter Fifty-Three

[Jaxson’s POV]

Jace and I had gone to the Witches house on the outskirts of town. He thought that she might be able to find Orion a little better than we could because of who might have our little Mate.

I was hoping beyond hope that this would work so I made sure to bring something of Orion’s. We were more than determined to find him in the beginning. Now we were on a hunt for blood and our little Mate. We could feel him slowly fading away from us and that was not going to happen. We were not going to let him die. Not without a fucking fight.

Jace stopped, making me follow suite as he looked over our surroundings. I mimicked him, looking for anything out of the ordinary before Jace stepped back, pulling me with him.

“Wait.” he whispered, before turning back to the empty clearing we were about to head into.

He tossed a rock and the moment it landed the spot caught fire, causing us to step back a little from the explosion. I looked over to my twin in surprise. He knew about this trap and it made me wonder how many times he had been to see this Witch. There was obviously something more he had not been telling me.

He blushed a little and shrugged before turning back to the meadow, “Simone!!” he called out, his voice carrying over the small distance to reverberate off a small building.

Moments later a small petite woman with long white hair and the face of a goddess came out of what looked like thin air. She closed what looked like an invisible door behind her before turning to face Jace and I. Her milky white gaze unnerved me but I found solace and comfort in her eyes as she moved to us across the field. She glided over her little traps as she made her way to us. Jace never moving from his spot, making sure I never moved from mine.

“Good afternoon Alpha Jace King. What may this one do for you?” Simone questioned as she came closer to the two of us, dipping her head in acknowledgment.

Jace dipped his head to her in return, “My dear friend I need your wisdom. Our Mate has been taken from us and we cannot find him. We fear for his life and our own if we do not find him soon.” Jace said getting another shocked look from me. He spoke to her in a soft tone, one he usually only used for me or Orion.

Simone looked at us, her brows drawing closer together as she stepped closer to us. She lifted her head, her eyes finding a spot between us, as her hands found their way to our sides. Her hands began to glow a soft white. A gentle pulsing filling the air at the gentle touch. The hair on my arms was standing on end from the surge in power.

“Your Mate has been taken by the Fire Demon Diego. He is in great danger.” Simone said, getting deep growls from both Jace and I.

“I knew it wasn’t just a simple thing that had taken him.” Jace said thoughtfully. A look of deep worry coming to his face.

“What do we do? We don’t even know where he is!” I growled out, a sad look coming to my face.

“He is in the Demon’s den, Alpha. North of this place.” Simone said as she pointed just north of her invisible home. “Head straight and you will come to the mansion your Mate is being held in.” she directed.

Jace and I bowed deeply to her. “Thank you.” we said in unison before taking off in the direction she had pointed. Jace was contacting our Warriors and dad as we ran. My only thought was to get to Orion and to keep Jace from getting hurt in the process.

Hold on Orion, baby boy we are coming for you.
