Married at First Sight

Chapter 2087

Liberty walked over.
“Mr. Lewis.”
Duncan looked at her with a deep gaze. “Liberty, I’m also going to the hospital today. I knew you were taking Sonny to see his
dad, so I came here to wait for you both and go together.”
Actually, he did not need to go back to the hospital as it was not the time for a check-up yet.
It was just an excuse.
He did not feel at ease letting Liberty and her son go to the hospital by themselves.
Duncan was worried that the Brown family would brainwash Liberty and try to convince her to reconcile with Hank.
Hank had gone through life and death and would surely understand who was truly suitable for him. No one knew whether or not
he would listen to his family and pursue Liberty again.
Back then, Hank had despised Liberty for becoming fat and ugly, but it was Hank who had cheated on and betrayed Liberty. How
could he have the dignity to remarry her?
Duncan was still worried although Liberty had also said that she would not remarry Hank.
Even when Liberty had not accepted his feelings and they were not married yet, he could not relax and always wanted to be by
her side. All Duncan wanted to do was assert his dominance.
“It’s still not time for Mr. Lewis’s check-up yet, isn’t it?” asked Liberty.
Duncan calmly lied, “I felt a lot of pain in my feet last night, so I told the doctor. He asked me to come to the hospital today for
him to take a look.”
Liberty’s gaze fell on his legs. “Then why are you still carrying Sonny? Sonny, come down. Don’t sit on Dunc’s legs. Dunc hurt his
legs.”
“It’s okay. Sonny is so light.”
Duncan did not let go of Sonny and was still holding him. He instructed the bodyguards to push him into the car.

He also told Sonny, “Sonny, you can ride in my car to the hospital.”
“But, Dunc, I want to go to Cammy’s flower shop to buy a bouquet for my daddy.”
Duncan said in a doting manner, “Alright, I’ll accompany you to buy the flowers. Are you going to be paying out of your pocket for
the flowers?”
Although the little guy was only three, his pockets were already filled.
The money he received during the new year was even greater than the yearly income of most people.
“Yes, I will be paying with my own money. Of course, I will be using my own money, I’m buying flowers for my dad after all.”
Duncan patted Sonny’s head. “Yes, your father.”
He wanted to be a stepfather to Sonny. However, he also understood that in Sonny’s eyes, Hank is the only father he will have.
Even if Duncan were to be his stepfather in the future, Sonny might not even call him “dad”.
Duncan did not consider fighting for Sonny’s custody with Hank.
No matter how despicable Hank was, he was still the father of Sonny, their bond in blood could not be severed. After the divorce,
Hank spent less time with Sonny and cared less about him. However, he still paid for child support, and would sometimes visit
Sonny.
Furthermore, Liberty never badmouthed Hank in front of her son, causing Sonny’s opinion on Hank to be unchanged.
Liberty walked to her car after Duncan started his.
One group would go to Spring Blossoms to buy a bouquet, while Liberty went to buy a bag of apples.
With all the dilly-dallying, it was already eleven in the morning when they reached the hospital.
Knowing that Liberty would be bringing her son to the hospital, the Browns were waiting at the hospital.
As it was a weekend, Chelsea and her husband brought their three children to visit her brother.
