Married at First Sight

Chapter 2086

Hugh liked this future brother-in-law too.
Meanwhile, in Wiltspoon, Liberty told her son last night that they would go to the hospital today to visit his father.
However, Sonny slept until it was late in the morning before getting up. After having a light meal, the sun was already scorching
outside by the time they were ready to leave.
Sonny carried his small backpack and followed behind his mother as they went downstairs together.
Inside his backpack were some snacks that he said he would give to his father.
“Mom, should we buy a bouquet of flowers?” Sonny asked Liberty as they walked.
Liberty stopped and waited for him to come closer. She then held Sonny’s hand and walked with him while asking, “Do you want
to buy flowers for Dad?”
“Yes, I would like to. I also brought money. Those people on TV always bring flowers when they go to the hospital.”
Sonny was not as enthusiastic about going to kindergarten as he was at the beginning. However, he had had a more sensible
and mature side since then.
He knew that bringing flowers to the hospital when visiting his father was the right thing to do.
“How much money did you bring?” Liberty asked with a smile. “Well, you can’t buy a bouquet of flowers with just a dollar.”
Sonny answered, “I know a bouquet of flowers costs more than ten dollars. I brought several ten-dollar bills, so it’s definitely
enough to buy a bouquet for Dad.”
As a little shadow following Serenity, Sonny often accompanied her aunt to Camryn’s flower shop to buy bouquets. The little guy
knew how much a bouquet of flowers cost.
Liberty chuckled and said, “Alright then, if you want to buy flowers for your dad, you use your own money. Mommy will buy some
fruits.”
“Okay.”
Sonny readily agreed.

They saw Duncan while walking out of the apartment building.
Duncan was sitting in a wheelchair with two bodyguards behind him.
“Dunc.”
As soon as he saw Duncan, Sonny broke free from his mother’s hand and ran toward Duncan.
Duncan smiled and opened his arms toward him. As Sonny ran to the wheelchair, Duncan bent down and lifted him up, planting
a few kisses on his chubby face before allowing him to sit on his lap.
“Dunc, why are you here? Are you coming with me and my mom to the hospital to see my dad?”
Duncan knew that Liberty would take Sonny to the hospital to visit Hank today. As such, he did not do his rehabilitation exercises
and had his bodyguard bring him here, waiting for the mother and son.
“Yes, Dunc will accompany you and your mom to the hospital to see your dad.”
At first, Sonny was happy, but then he remembered that his dad did not like to see Dunc. His smile disappeared, and he looked
at Duncan, appearing hesitant to speak.
“What do you want to tell me, Sonny? Speak freely, I know you’re the most honest child and you won’t lie.”
Sonny truly did not want to lie.
He was an honest child.
“Dunc, my dad doesn’t like to see you. What should we do? If you come with me and Mom, and my dad sees you, he will get
angry. Won’t you feel sad?”
Hank had spoken ill of Duncan in front of Sonny several times.
He had even argued with his dad before. In the past, he had found Dunc scary but he knew Dunc was not a bad person.
Duncan smiled and said, “I won’t feel sad. Your dad may not like to see me, but considering the trouble he’s in, if I go to see him,
I don’t think he will chase me away.”
“If Dunc won’t feel sad, so let’s go together then.”

Sonny knew that his dad did not like Duncan, but he was being considerate of whether Dunc would feel sad. Since Dunc said he
would not feel sad, Sonny did not mind having him accompany them to the hospital.
