Jordan and the other three sect masters were visibly shocked.

They hadn’t expected Cedric and his group to actually kill Jerome and his companions.

It took a moment for Jordan to gather his thoughts, and then he turned to Cedric and asked, “Cedric, aren’t you worried that Gilmore will get angry and severely punish you for killing Jerome and his companions?”

Cedric’s face, however, showed confidence as he replied, “Father, rest assured. Jerome and his crew had joined forces with you to attack the Dragonspire Secret Realms as revenge against Leland.

“Leland had harbored hatred against them for a long time. Even if Gilmore didn’t kill them, Leland would have, sooner or

later.

“Besides, Gilmore is fond of Leland’s daughter. By killing Jerome and his Companions, not only will Gilmore not punish us, but he and Leland might even be grateful”

Hearing Cedric’s reasoning, Jordan and the other three sect masters found themselves nodding in agreement.

Truth be told. Jerome and his companions had long outlived their usefulness to them, and their lives or deaths were no longer of any concern.

With Cedric and his group seemingly out of danger, the sect masters felt at ease.

Cedric and his group then shared the story of the day Gilmore had arrived at the Phoenix Sect. They had originally planned to poison Gilmore and capture him, but Gilmore had fearlessly drunk several cups of the poisoned coffee without any ill

effects.

In the end, when Cedric and his group attempted to use force to subdue Gilmore, not only did they fail to overpower him. but several presbyters of the Phoenix Sect ended up injured by Gilmore’s hand.

Furthermore, Gilmore implanted a deeply cold and sinister energy into their acupoints.

This maneuver left them no choice but to surrender and pledge their loyalty to Gilmore. Otherwise, once this sinister energy took effect, they would have at most one month left to live.

However, Cedric and the other young masters showed signs of distress.

Cedric said to his father and the three sect masters, “Father, uncles, we too wish to restore our four major sects and avenge ourselves against Gilmore.

“But Gilmore’s power is terrifyingly strong. We are no match for him. Moreover, we are still afflicted with the deeply cold and sinister energy he has planted in us

“Our very lives are in his hands. Killing him is easier said than done.”

Jordan, with a strategic and determined look, said. “Cedric, don’t worry too much.

“Didn’t you just mention that you came to the dungeon because Cilmore wants to know about the Secret Map?”

The four young masters immediately recalled the purpose of their visit to the dungeon, nodding at Jordan.

They couldn’t help but worry that their father might refuse to reveal the location of the Secret Map.

If that happened, they would have no way to explain it to Gilmore upon their return.

Unaware of the consequences that might follow, Cedric even implored his father, Jordan, “Father, considering ray life hangs by a thread, could you tell me where the Secret Map is hidden?

That way, when we return, Gilmore won’t blame us, and perhaps we’ll be safe.”

Jordan chuckled, “No, Cedric, you’ve got it wrong. The reason Gilmore hasn’t killed you yet is that you still have value to

him.

“But once you help him get the Secret Map, you’ll no longer be of any use to him, and your end will surely come.”

Hearing this, the expressions of Cedric and the other young masters changed drastically.

It was as if they were suddenly awakened by a loud shout.

After a moment, Cedric managed to say, “So that’s it. No wonder he wanted us to ask you about the Secret Map.

“It’s to kill us after he gets it.”

Jordan nodded again, looking at the three sect leaders and Cedric along with the other young masters. He whispered, “Walls have ears. Come closer, and I’ll share the plan with you.”

Elijah. Alexander, Bentley, and the four young masters promptly gathered around Jordan.

They huddled together as Jordan whispered his scheme a plan for the restoration of their sects and vengeance against Gilmore–in detail.

After hearing Jordan’s plan, the eyes of Elijah, Alexander, Bentley, and the four young masters shone brightly.

Jordan, what a brilliant strategy!” Elijah said admiringly.

Alexander and Bentley nodded in agreement, while Cedric and the others felt a surge of excitement, convinced that Jordan’s plan was foolproof

With a calm and confident expression, Jordan told Cedric, “Remember to go to the pigeon house tonight. Release the carrier pigeons to send messages to the Dragonspire Mountains‘ major sects.”

“Father. I will remember your instructions and make no mistakes, Cedric immediately responded earnestly..

A sly glint appeared in Jordan’s eyes as he continued, “Also, in the Thousand–Foot Frigid Abyss, there are two caskets, one of gold and one of jade.

The gold casket contains the fake Secret Map Even if Gilmore gets it, it’ll lead to his demise.

“The jade casket, blending with the frigid abyss, holds the real Secret Map. No one will find it unless we reveal its location.”

Cedric replied, “Father, the gold casket has the fake Secret Map, and the jade casket the real one. I’ve got iL

Jordan then nodded, “Let’s proceed according to the plan.
