Luna Aurora novel (Alpha Fenrir)

Chapter Divorce After 10 Year 2

Chapter 2

Aurora stood frozen in the grand foyer, her heart pounding as Fenrir's words echoed in her mind: "Let's get divorced."

The weight of his declaration crashed over her like a tidal wave, leaving her breathless. She touched her flat stomach instinctively, her heart aching with the knowledge of the life growing inside her. "Fenrir, please," she implored, stepping forward, desperation clawing at her voice. "Can we just talk about this? I know things are complicated right now, but we can work through it. I can't lose you!" He turned his cold gaze toward her, and the distance between them felt like an insurmountable chasm.

"Aurora, there's nothing left to discuss," he said flatly, his tone devoid of the warmth it once held. She could feel the chill of his rejection wrapping around her, suffocating her hopes. "You can't make this decision so quickly," she urged, her heart racing with fear.

Fenrir didn't respond; he simply walked past her, his body language signaling an unwillingness to engage.

Desperate for answers, she hesitated only for a moment before following him quietly, hoping to understand the reason behind the sudden request for a divorce.

She loved him and it was clear as day that he did to, until now.

As she slipped out of the house and into the cool evening air, she noticed Fenrir standing at the edge of the driveway, his broad shoulders tense as he spoke to Arianna.

The sight sent a pang of jealousy through her, twisting her stomach. Aurora kept her distance, watching from afar.

Arianna stood closer than Aurora would have liked, laughter spilling from her lips like music. Aurora watched as Fenrir's lips curved into a smile, the warmth in his expression contrasting sharply with the coldness he had shown her just moments before. A deep-seated ache settled in Aurora's chest.

With a boldness that made Aurora's stomach churn, Arianna wrapped her arms around Fenrir's neck, pulling him down for a kiss.

The sight of them together sent a shockwave of betrayal through Aurora. Fenrir responded with an ease that made it clear this was not their first moment of intimacy. Aurora's heart raced, and she fought back tears as she felt the ground beneath her shift. Arianna spotted Aurora and it fueled her boldness, as she leaned deeper into Fenrir, deepening their kiss, a silent declaration that she was now the one who held his heart.

As if sensing Aurora's gaze, Fenrir finally turned his head slightly, his expression unreadable as he caught sight of her.

Aurora felt a rush of heat flood her cheeks, a mixture of shame and defiance washing over her.

Would he even care that she had seen them? Did it matter to him at all?

With her heart pounding, Aurora turned away before Fenrir could react.

Her breath was coming in shallow bursts as she fought the urge to cry. The image of them together was seared into her mind, a bitter reminder of everything she stood to lose.
