Chapter Love Web 101
Chapter 101
Lacey concluded. "Diana, each of your brothers is crazier than the last. Seriously, don't set Ellie up with those rejects that nobody would even take for free. Diana looked at Ellie and felt awkward for a rare moment. "Well, it's actually not that serious"
After the waiter finished serving the food, Lacey couldn't hold back. "Diana, just take a break already. Even if you paid me, I wouldn't want your weird brothers. "Mark seems normal, but he's the strangest one. The way he looks at people is like he's sizing up a corpse, ready to dissect it right there."
Diana nudged Lacey under the table. "Can you give me a little respect, please?"
Ellie turned to Lacey. "Is it really that drastic?"
Lacey said, "Of course, maybe it's because all of you study medicine, with that same smell of disinfectant, you're all equally
bizarre!
Ellie was speechless.
Lacey laughed without a care. "Diana, that crazy guy Alex is getting really close to Haley and isn't even acknowledging you as his fiancée. Why don't you hold a press conference to call off the engagement?" Diana replied, "Whether we call off the engagement or not won't stop me from finding a man. Let's see what his attitude is.
Not far away, Haley walked over, her arm linked with Alex.
Hearing Lacey and Diana's conversation, a cunning smile appeared on Haley's lips. "Alex, listen to what Ms. Grant is saying Even if she lacks self-respect, she shouldn't be discussing such things openly" After speaking. Haley didn't get a response from Alex, but she followed his gaze and saw Ellie standing beside Lacey. Her expression darkened instantly,
Ellie lowered her eyes, quietly cutting her steak, aware that someone was watching her.
The best way for her to deal with Alex and Haley was to completely ignore them.
Lacey and Diana both looked at Ellie, then exchanged glances with each other. Lacey asked. "Should we revenge?"
Diana replied, "Of course."
Seeing Lacey and Diana stand up, Ellie felt she had no choice but to stand up as well. Diana, wearing high heels, stopped Alex and Haley in their tracks.
Ellie stood next to Lacey, looking up to see Alex staring straight at her, unable to resist frowning.
Diana gave Haley a challenging look and said, "Alex, what sneaky plan are you cooking up with her behind my back?"
Haley noticed Alex's gloomy face, his eyes fixed on Ellie. She tried to hold back her temper but clearly dissatisfied.

Chapter 101
Taking a step forward to block Alex, Haley confidently spoke up Ms. Grant, the other woman is the one who's unloved. Alex and I are engaged, and no matter how powerful your family is, if useless if Alex doesn't want you." Diana smiled slightly. In the next moment, she picked up the glas of juice from the table and splashed it in Haley's face.
A scream echoed as the glass shattered on the floor, with Haley awkwardly bumping against a nearby booth, her face and hair covered in orange juice.
"Diana" Alex's expression turned dark as he helped Haley up, using some napkins to clean the juice off her while glaring intensely at Gong Yi.
Diana glared back at Alex. "What's wrong? Feeling bad now!"
Alex instinctively looked at Ellie behind Diana, his Adam's apple bobbing as he suddenly went quiet.
Haley had just wiped the juice off her face and stood up when Diana delivered a slap across her face. The slap was so loud it echoed throughout the entire restaurant. Haley clutched her sore check, holding back tears as she bit her lip and looked at Alex with a hurt expression.
Alex barely-had a chance to speak before Diana cut in, "Alex, if you dare lay a finger on me, my seven brothers will beat you up!"
Alex snorted sarcastically. "You mean those crazies in your family?"
Diana retorted, "You're the crazy one. Your whole family's nuts. I'm calling Mrs. Warren right now to give you a piece of her mind."
Alex was speechless and his eyebrows twitched nervously.
Seeing Diana pull out her phone to tell on them, Haley restrained herself and stepped forward. "Ms. Grant, we're all adults here. Isn't it a bit childish to tattle all the time?" Diana gave Haley a challenging look. "What's wrong with being childish? Let's see if you can beat me at tattling."
"You!" Haley looked at Alex for support but saw he was still staring at Ellie. Suppressing her frustration, she pulled on Alex's arm. "Alex, I'm not feeling well.
Hearing Haley say she wasn't feeling well, Alex finally turned his attention away. Tll take you to the hospital,"
"I probably caught a chill since my clothes got wet. I'll just go home and change." Haley replied to Alex, while glancing back at Diana and Ellie.
Ellie watched as Alex gently supported Haley, softly coaxing her as they left, and then turned away calmly.
Considering he was usually so hot-tempered, she was surprised to see him being so gentle. It turned out that loving someone could really change him.
Back then, she was obsessed with thinking about it, and in the end, she desperately tried to forget it. He was never really involved, and she almost lost herself.
Luckily, she returned herself to herself and him to Haley. In the future, no pleasing, no catering, just being herself.
Diana turned back to his seat, looking bored. "Why did it take Alex so long to realize he liked Haley? He's known her for years without feeling anything, and suddenly he has eyes for her

Layton says Alex must be blind. Lacey said cheerfully, pulling lie back to her seat. "You have to slap such trash every time
you see her
Ellie sat down quietly, staying silent. Whether it was Lacey or Dia, they could tackle challenges directly without backing down, because they had their powerful families supporting them They had the means to be confident. But she couldn't. Behind her, she had no comections, just a brother who shared a rented apartment.
Behind her was her disabled father, still living in the poor village who relied on her to earn money for medicine to keep him alive, and her mother, who couldn't read, earned money by raising pigs and selling eggs.
Human nature was fragile. Without a background, ability, or money, she had no dignity or confidence.
When she was at her weakest, the worst people would appear around her.
In the blink of an eye, it was October, and many days had passed since the welcome home party.
Ellie lived with the Warren family, keeping regular work hours every day.
During her free moments, she would either have a meal with her brother or play chess and tend to the garden with Carlos, chat and shop with Nancy, and sometimes join in discussions about the company, sharing her thoughts Life seemed to have settled into a routine. Ever since she joined the Warren family. Alex hadn't come home.
Although no one mentioned it out loud, Ellie knew deep down that the elders would never let Alex join the military.
The death of Alex's brother was a wound in the heart of the entire family.
Alex's parents would never a allow their only son to take the same path as lus brother did.
The night before Alex was supposed to enlist, Nancy finally broke down. "Evan, get that jerk back here right now!"
Ellie knew that the Warren family elders had finally given in to Alex. She had anticipated this and understood.
It was just past nine that evening when Alex finally returned.
Ellie stood in the living room while Alex lingered at the entrance They hadn't seen each other for a while, their eyes meeting across the distance.
After a brief silence, Ellie calmly said, "Alex, Grandpa and Mom and Dad are waiting for you in the study
