Chapter 903: Interviews between the two sides
The table in front of them had some instruments in glass test tubes, Almeida sighed, "That virus, it's even scarier than we thought, luckily this time it's only a small outbreak, if it's bigger next time, I'm afraid it will not end well ..."
For a while, the atmosphere became more and more gloomy.
...
But on the other side of the world, in Italy, Hector was totally unaware of this.
He wouldn't even know that what he had only admonished had fallen on deaf ears and that he had allowed his subordinates to conceal the truth. Eloise returned home, carrying the shopping bags in her hands, and walked all the way in.
Two tiny figures ran towards her in unison, one holding one of her arms.
Pinned left and right, Eloise simply crouched down and the next second, two loud kisses were planted on both of her cheeks at the same time.
Eloise's heart was soft as she held Solomon and Sweety in her arms, one right and one left at the same time.
"Have you guys been good at home?" Eloise said, when she heard Sweety and Solomon reply in unison, "We've been good."
Eloise smiled and nodded her head, praising, "That's great! And to reward you, Mummy has bought presents."
When they heard that there was a present, the two little ones' eyes seemed to glow and they asked excitedly, "Really? What's the present?"
Eloise got up and led the two little ones to the sofa and sat down, taking the shopping bags to the coffee table, "Mummy has bought you new clothes, parent and child clothes, so that people will know we are a family." "Yeah, this dress is going to look great." Solomon plopped down on Eloise's knee, cuddly, looking up at her with big, twinkling eyes as if they could talk.
Eloise couldn't help but laugh, "Solomon's got a sweet mouth."
When she bought it, she wasn't actually sure that her two children would like it.
And, it's also a parent-child model ... I wonder if Hector would like it.
"We'll wear the parent-child outfit together when your daddy gets back, okay?"
Under Sweety and Solomon's expectant gaze, Eloise pulled out all the clothes they both had, "These aren't parent and child outfits, you can wear them whenever you want."
"Great! Mummy, when is Daddy coming back?" Sweety asked with anticipation as she fiddled lovingly with her dress.
Eloise smiled, "It won't take long to get back, so be good so daddy will be back soon."
Solomon and Sweety agreed in unison and bounced off to try on clothes.
...
As night falls, the sky twinkles with stars.
Hector stepped out of a black Maybach and, in a whirl, walked into a brightly lit restaurant.
Passing through the revolving glass doors leads to the sumptuous lobby within, with intricately patterned carpets all the way down to the corridor at the end.
The warm colours of the lights hanging overhead soften the atmosphere of the whole restaurant, which is not too bright but relaxing at the same time.
Hector did not have a bodyguard with him to follow, he took Thomas alone.
As soon as Hector walked into the box, several people were already seated inside.
Along with Pierce, a strange man was brought in and Hector's eyes swept over it.
As soon as Pierce saw Hector's figure, he stood up, extended his right hand and said, "Mr Hector, your personal presence in Italy is a real pleasure to see here!" Hector looked at Pierce, curled his lips and returned Pierce's outstretched hand, "Mr Pierce, you are too kind. I'm just a small businessman."
At that, Pierce didn't quite agree and said, "Eh, Mr Hector, that's a joke."
The two men exchanged pleasantries as if they were old friends on good terms.
With that, Hector sat down next to Pierce, while Thomas stood behind Hector.
It may look like they are not moving, but both sides are not watching each other. Thus began a meal.
Across from Hector sat Arlice, dressed in a grey suit, looking at Hector with a smile in his eyes, to which Hector gave a slight nod in greeting.
Pierce stood up and walked over to a dark-haired, dark-eyed foreigner and introduced him graciously, "This is the president of the SA Group and the person fully in charge of this, you can call him John." After hearing Pierce's introduction, Hector looked thoughtfully at the foreigner named John, his eyes dark and uncertain.
With that, John stood up and, in English with a foreign inflection, said, "Hello, my name is John."
It sounds a bit awkward, but the words flow fairly well.
Hector withdrew his gaze, as if he had just been no more than a moment of curiosity, like the others.
Hector greeted John politely and then, without moving, just talked to Pierce from time to time. However, one sight was very strong and kept falling on Hector's body, looking him up and down.
The owner of this gaze was none other than John.
John turned to Hector, glass of red wine in hand, and stood up, "Mr Hector, thank you so much for providing such a large quantity of herbs this time, it has really helped us a lot. I'll drink to that!" With that, he tilted his head and drank the red wine in his glass in one gulp.
"Mr John is very kind, it's just a normal sale, no need to thank you again?" Hector raised his glass in greeting, and then, too, drank it in one go. John nodded, a look of joy on his face.
The meal was a harmonious and enjoyable one.
As we mingle, Hector proposes, "Why don't we go to the warehouse after dinner and inspect the goods? If there's nothing wrong, we'll sign the contract." Mr John, what do you think?"
When John saw Hector say this, he nodded slightly, a little satisfied with the way the English businessman before him was acting.
At least, he was cool enough.
However, John was not in such a hurry, he smiled and said, "There is no need to hurry, tonight is to entertain you properly, when we have eaten and drunk enough, it will not be too late to see it tomorrow." Seeing John say that, Hector didn't force the issue; the outcome would have been the same anyway.
Hector nodded lightly and said, "That's good."
