I love the way the stars adorn the sky, when I was younger I used to believe my parents were stars watching over me but with time I realized my silliness but it wouldn't hurt believing they were, if they were I hope they know how much I love them, how much I miss

them, how badly the world is treating their little girl and she stayed strong.

Don't flatter yourself" I scoff, smiling.

You don't think I'll make a pretty star like that one over there" he points out a small one in a small orbital space with no star close to it like the others, it was isolated but still glowing.

"That's you," Jaden emphasizes.

The lonely part was true, but I was in no way pretty I look away as the ache in my chest overwhelms me I'll never be pretty always be a pathetic slave.

I start to leave his arms but he doesn't let me pull me back and hold him tighter.

"Hey I'm sure that star is wickedly jealous of you" he says genuinely and I laugh it off if I was so pretty why had he rejected me? Who in their right minds will want a life like mine. I won't even wish my enemy my miserable life unless they were Riley and Shyna. His expression darkens making me look away.

"It was pretty neat for a roof except the black soothe" I say trying to lighten the mood.

"Yeah, I made it happen, I come here a lot." I look towards him as he runs through his hair nervously, Jaden Perry shy I never think I'll ever see the day.

"Why?" I am curious to know what an Alpha is doing spending time on a roof.

Come I'll show you walking to the side he stops in front of a concrete rectangle shape a little bit high above the ground and tilting to the left he can not be serious.

"My bed tada" I don't know what he thinks a bed is but this ain't it. Looking at my scrunched face he adds

Again I repeat he can not be serious.

"Come lie with me" I stare at him like he had grown another head, how could he say it easily?

The thing looks big enough to contain two people but I'll have to be close to him for that.

"I won't bite" he teases "when will an Alpha ask you to rest under the moonlight with him?"

I roll my eyes with a shrug, I lie with him, his hand my pillow, his beautiful smell of citrus calms me, his body heat making me warm as we lie comfortably in the silence. "What's that?" Jaden asked, touching my closed hand.

I open it up, the emerald and chain glowing under the moonlight I sniffle holding back tears.

"Ughh" I whine at the sound of the goddamn birds disrupting my sleep and the blazing sun I felt I was melting underneath.
