Invincible Heir

Chapter 189 The Sweetest Memory

As soon as he said those words, the owner of the voice came into the store. He was Shallot, Kris' favorite grandchild and the heir to the Brown family. It wasn't long ago that he was appointed as General Manager of the Brown Group.

"What brings you here, Mr. Brown?" Dane said respectfully, trying hard not to tremble.

Shallot gave Dane a baleful glance and shouted, "Get the fuck off me!"

Then he went straight to Baron and said reverently, "Sorry to keep you waiting, Mr. Owen."

Baron didn't think Shallot would come. He looking over at Shallot in mild surprise.

"When Grandpa called me, I was in the neighborhood. So, I think I should take care of the matter myself," Shallot explained rapidly.

Then he looked sideways at Dane and said, "I have checked it out. His father works in my company, but he has nothing to do with my company."

Baron nodded, "Well, I'll leave the rest of the matters to you!"

"No problem, Mr. Owen! I'll take care of it," Shallot said and stood respectfully as Baron got out, holding the hand of Tracy.

The spectators were petrified to see this. Shallot looked too young to have been in a high position in the Brown family. But even more amazingly, it seemed Shallot revered and feared Baron.

As Dane heard their conversation, his tension and fear were increased. Only then did he realize that he had made a big mistake!

"Fire Quentin! Right now!" Shallot said on the phone.

Dane's face went white when he heard the words. He knelt beside Shallot and begged, "I was wrong. I'm sorry. Mr. Brown! But my father has nothing to do with it! Don't fire him, please!"

"Save your breath. There's nothing I can do about it. You offended Mr. Owen. No one will be able to protect you!" Shallot said calmly.

At these words, Dane went very pale and sunk to the floor in fright. If his father lost this job, it meant his whole family would lose the vital financial support.

The spectators' eyes were wide with astonishment. From Shallot's words, they could surmise that Baron was obviously more powerful than Shallot.

Patti was so freaked out that she went very pale. She knew she really screwed up this time. Dane's father lost his job, because of her!

"That's impossible, honey! Tracy's husband is just a security guard! I remember it well!" said Patti in a terrified voice.

Looking at Patti, Dane was getting angrier and angrier. He raised a hand and smacked her right across the face. "Son of a bitch. It is you! This is all your fault! You ruined my life!" Dane roared. Then he beat her and kicked her, as if to vent his anger. The pain was so sharp that Patti let out screams of pain, but no one intervened to stop them.

"Hear me, you son of a bitch! From now on, you're not my fiancée anymore! Go far, far away. If I ever see you again, I will kill you," Dane said and stormed out of the store.

Patti hurried to follow and begged, "Honey, I'm so sorry. I know I failed you. I never will again. I promise!"

"Fuck off!" Dane said and gave her a hard kick. Then he left.

Patti suffered the kick, which hit her head on the floor. And there was blood all over her face. A crowd of onlookers gathered around, talking excitedly.

Patti was enraged and yelled at them, "Fuck off. Get away from me!" Then she tottered away.

At that moment, Baron and Tracy were taking a walk, hand in hand.

Tracy didn't shake off his hand. She seemed to be deep in thought. She had known something about Baron, including the Owen family, the Pola and his Brone Group, and he was good at fighting. What she didn't know was why Shallot was so deferential to him.

The Brown family was one of the most powerful families in Cona, just like the Lewis family. Why did the two biggest families follow Baron's orders?

"Tracy, do you have any questions to ask me?" Baron asked as Tracy looked puzzled.

"I would love to know everything about you, if you will," Tracy said quietly.

Baron smiled, "In fact, I own all of the businesses of the Brown family."

After hearing this, Tracy couldn't help laughing a little. "Bullshit. I don't believe you," Tracy chuckled.

Baron could only shake his head and said, "This time I'm really telling the truth. Why do you not seem to believe me?"

Tracy stared at him in surprise and shocked for a moment. Suddenly it all made sense, if the Brown family's businesses belonged to Baron. But she didn't ask again.

For a minute, neither of them spoke. Suddenly, Tracy pointed to a store not far away. "I want a hot dog, Baron!" she said, her eyes twinkling.

Baron was taken by surprise. Then he nodded and ran to get it for her. Tracy smiled and took it.

Baron looked gently at her, watching her eat happily. Just then, Tracy stopped eating the hot dog and lifted it to his mouth, "Try it," she said, smiling.

Without hesitation, Baron took a bite. He smiled. That was like an electric feeling. He chewed it and thought it was the world's most delicious foods.

Just like that, they shared the hot dog and had a great time here. Baron smiled. Tracy could see the inner happiness shining in his eyes. As if it was the most wonderful thing in the world. Not long afterwards, Yuri walked out of the cinema with Lara. Lara looked excited and talked about the film with Yuri.

Looking at this, Baron's lips arched into a smile. It would be the sweetest memory of his life.

But in that moment, an awful flicker of doubt appeared in Baron's eyes. He found several men were following them stealthily.

He thought for a minute. The McGill family was the most likely to do it, for a few hours ago, he killed a killer of the family.
