Harlow

Harlow's POV

All I feel is pain. My entire body hurts and I can't move without feeling like I'm going to vomit. I groan out and attempt to open my eyes. I can barely get them open, it feels like they are swollen shut. My mouth feels like a dirty ash tray was dumped in there and taped shut and is dry as anything. My tongue feels like it has fur growing on it. I attempt to lick my lip but hiss out in pain. My lips is sore as hell and now I can taste blood. Just great.

I'm racking my brain trying to remember what the hell happened but it hurts to much so I groan again. "Harl's, I'm right here, it's going to hurt to move stay as still as you can. Leo is getting a doctor" Toby tells me but he sounds like he is shouting under water. All I can manage to do is groan back at him and I feel him gently squeeze my hand. I squeeze back slightly hoping he feels me. "I'm not going anywhere. You are safe, everyone is here" Toby says which sounds more clear than before. I try to nod my head but it made me dizzy.

Someone walked in "you're awake, I'm one of the nurses in charge of your care" he stated. I needed to vomit quick smart "sick" I croaked out. "What was that?" The nurse asked. "She said sick" Toby answered for me. The nurse rushed forward turning me on my side just in time for me to vomit all over the side of the bed. It bloody hurt when I was turned and the vomit was bright green. I was groaning but still felt like I was going to vomit more.

"I need one of you to go get me some help. Ask for her doctor too, looks like the medication is not sitting well with her" the nurse said. I kept dry retching which was hurting my stomach and throat but nothing else was coming out. A few minutes later another nurse came in with the doctor. "Harlow I'm one of your doctors. Can you tell me are you allergic to any medications?" He asked. I tried to nod again but the vomiting started up and more green liquid came out of my mouth. "She is allergic to morphine and it's derivatives" Toby replied.

"Right well seems you are having a reaction to the pain meds. I'm going to order a anti sickness to stop the vomiting and dry retching then change your pain meds. Increase the fluids to flush her system and make a note of the allergy" the doctor stated before leaving the room. The nurses changed the sheets and cleaned me and my room up while giving me new pain meds. I quickly fell back asleep.

When I woke again, I was still in pain but it wasn't as bad and I could hear things more clearly. There was a TV playing in the room quietly and a few people talking as well. My mouth was as dry as the Sahara desert "water" I whispered. "Harlow?" Someone questioned I think it was Jett. "Water" I said a little louder. I'll get you some water" Toby said. I nodded my head and tried to open my eyes but could only see a little bit. I tried to reach my hand up to my face to see why I couldn't open my eyes properly.

"Hey, you have two black eyes that are very swollen. The swelling will go down in time just don't touch" Sue said beside me. I again just nodded my head. I saw some light come in from what I think to be the door "Harl's I'm going to put the cup near your lip, just take a small sip ok?" Toby said. I just nodded my head before saying "up". It was hard to talk but laying down was hurting. "You want to sit up?" Jett asked. I again just nodded my head. "Ok nice and slow alright. I'm going to sit the bed up for you. If it hurts just let me know" Jett replied. I nodded and slowly the bed was sat more up right.

I groaned when it started to hurt and Jett stopped. I looked towards him and tried to smile, I didn't know if I managed it or not. Toby brought the cup back to my lip and I took a small sip of water. It stung a little and some dribbled out of my mouth but is also felt so good. "Thanks" I stated. Toby lent forward and kissed the top of my head. I grabbed his hand and gave it a little squeeze.

I looked around the room seeing everyone looking at me. "Someone want to let me know the damage?" I croaked out. "Maybe later ok. Just rest for now" Kody replied. I shook my head. "I want to know" I replied. "I'm sorry, I killed Hendrix" I sobbed out. "Hey you didn't kill him. You injured him and I'm guessing for good reason. Harlow we saw the damage to your body. You did what you had to do to survive and I'm so very proud of you" Steve said stepping into my line of vision. I tried to smile again but a tear slipped out running down my face burning as it went.

"We are all proud of you Harlow" Mac said. I shook my head no, I had hurt there brother. "Harlow you had a choice, you or him and you chose you. Don't you dare feel guilty because Hendrix sure as hell wouldn't for what he did to you" my father said. All my brothers agreed with him. "I'm sorry" I whispered. "You have nothing to be sorry for. I'm sorry it took me so long to find you" Leo said to me coming closer.

I went to grab his hand but hissed in pain looking towards my hand which was bandaged. "Don't keep moving. You will hurt yourself more" Jax scolded me. "What's the damage then?" I sassed back. Cameron let out a sarcastic laugh "even hurt you have to have attitude" Cameron replied. "My attitude wasn't hurt my body was though so tell me the damage arsehole" I replied with my brothers and Toby laughing and Steve reminding me to watch my language. I didn't want to be treated like broken glass even though that's how I felt.

"You look like shit" Kody started, "could say the same about you and I can smell you from here. When was the last time any of you showered?" I bit out. "Harl's I missed you" Toby said before telling me what damage was done and that none of them had left the hospital all night staying with me. I sent them home to shower and change but Toby refused and so did Leo, they would take turns in the bathroom attached to my room not wanting me to be alone.
