Forgive us

Macey woke up at 3.30 pm with Johan tracing her lips with his thumb. Johan smiled down at Macey and she smiled back before stretching her body causing the shirt to slowly raise up her body. "Afternoon beautiful, it's time to get up, we both start soon and you need to eat before I take you back to your place to get changed" Johan said softly.

Macey nodded her head before standing up to head towards the kitchen. Johan pulled her back wanting to kiss her. He had already showered while Macey slept. They had both gone to bed about 7 am so Johan wanted to let Macey sleep as long as possible. "Johan, I haven't brushed my teeth" Macey squealed when she realised what Johan was going to do. Johan shrugged his shoulders before kissing Macey on the lips. Macey melted into the kiss but then remembered she hadn't brushed her teeth and pushed him away. Johan pouted, he liked kissing Macey, her lips were so soft and she had pushed him away.

Macey pecked Johan's lips before heading to the kitchen to see coffee bacon and egg rolls on the table. Macey smiled at Johan before saying, "thanks Johan, I owe you one". Johan shook his head no, "You don't owe me anything Macey. I owe you a date and this was the best I could do with everything that happened this morning" Johan replied sitting next to Macey and squeezing her thigh in support.

"I'm so sorry about that. I need to apologise to Jeff and hope I still have a job. The poor new guy, I'm not sure he will be back" Macey replied. If it wasn't her she would have laughed. "Macey, that wasn't your fault at all" Johan stated before he was interrupted by a phone ringing.

Macey jumped up as it was her phone ringing. "I put your phone on charge when I got up. It's next to the bed" Johan told Macey as she headed towards the phone. Macey quickly answered her phone before checking the caller ID. "Macey speaking," she said into the phone.

"Macey it's Officer Upton calling, I was the officer in charge last night. I am ringing to let you know that your brother has been denied bail this afternoon and a court mention has been set for four weeks from now" the officer told her. "Really? Will I have to be there?" Macey asked. "No only for the hearing. I will be in touch before then. We are pushing for your brother to remain behind bars until the hearing" the officer replied. "Thank you, bye," Macey said while smiling.

Johan had gone in after Macey to see who was on the phone and if he had to step in. When he saw Macey smile, a proper smile it knocked his socks off. She was drop-dead gorgeous when she smiled. "You should smile like that more often. Should I be worried?" Johan asked smiling back at Macey. Macey turned to face Johan "That was the officer from last night, Diesel was refused bail and they are pushing him to remain behind bars until the hearing" Macey stated. Johan nodded and pulled Macey into a hug quickly pecking her on the lips.

Johan drove Macey to her dorm so she could shower and get ready for work. "Want me to wait here?" Johan asked as they pulled up. Macey wasn't paying attention she had her eyes firmly on her eldest brother who was sitting right outside her door scanning the inside and outside of the building. "Macey?" Johan called before he spotted Asher. "Come on, I'll come up with you" Johan said before getting out of the car and going around to help Macey get out.

Johan put his arm around Macey's shoulders leading her to the door. Asher saw his sister and immediately stood up. "Macey, I have been waiting for you. Are you ok?" Asher rambled out. Macey stood frozen, she couldn't answer him even if she wanted to. She was waiting for the others to jump out and harm her. She sighed when she remembered Diesel was behind bars.

"Shit, stupid question, of course, you aren't ok. I sent Tyler away, he won't be bothering you again. Macey I want to keep you safe. Can we talk?" Asher continued to ramble. He had been sitting waiting for his sister since dropping Tyler at the station. "I have work, I'm going to be late" Macey replied faking calmness. She didn't want to give any of them the satisfaction of seeing her breakdown again. Asher looked at his sister and nodded his head in understanding. From what he read in his mother's will she didn't have to work but he wasn't just going to come out and say that.

"Mace, I found Mum's will. Can we still meet tomorrow to talk?" Asher asked sounding as desperate as he felt. "I ummm, I don't know" Macey replied. She didn't trust Asher at all but didn't want him to know that. "I swear Macey, I won't hurt you. I just think you need to see Mum's will" Asher replied. Macey thought about it, she hadn't heard anything about a will from her mother but was interested in what she had to say. "Ok," Macey finally responded.

Asher smiled at his sister and stepped towards her wanting to embrace her but as Macey stepped back he realised his mistake. "Sorry, I was going to hug you. Umm, tomorrow lunch? I can pick you up at 12" Asher stayed looking his sister in the eyes. "Actually, I will drive her, the bistro at 1 pm on the water would be best" Johan replied. Macey smiled at Johan in thanks. She was glad he would be there with her.

"Actually, it would be better if it was just Macey and I" Asher replied. He needed to explain to his sister how sorry he was and discuss with her the context of his letter. "Johan will be coming. I really need to go get ready for work" Macey stated before heading towards the door to the dorm. "I'll see you tomorrow at the bistro" Asher called before heading towards the bar Macey worked at. He didn't trust Tyler not to turn up after what Diesel had done last night. He swore to himself he would keep Macey safe now even from his brothers.
