Forgive us

Macey was falling asleep on the couch while Johan checked out her family home online. He didn't want to ring Asher as he knew that he was dealing with the service for his brother. He did text him asking for him to call when he could. Johan had assured Asher that Macey was fine. He still didn't like the guy but he could see he was trying and he respected the fact that he dropped everything for his sister.

"Macey the house is listed ...." Johan began but when he looked at Macey she was sound asleep curled up on the side of his couch. He shook his head, he knew going to the beach was too much for her but how could he say no to her? Johan grabbed a blanket from his room and then draped it over Macey. He watched her for a little then gently crawled behind her placing his arm gently over her as he laid behind her. He hadn't been able to hold her since she was in hospital and he just wanted to have her close for a little while. Johan kissed Macey on her forehead gently as she was still bruised and shut his eyes falling asleep holding onto the woman he loved.

Johan woke to the sound of his phone ringing. He looked down at Macey who was looking up at him pouting. He learnt she hated being woken up if she didn't have to be while she was staying in hospital. Johan kissed her lips and then slid his phone out of his pocket. He realised he had been asleep for over two hours but he didn't care he was exactly where he wanted to be.

"Yeh?" Johan answered the phone. "It's Asher, I tried calling Macey but her phone is off. What's the problem?" Asher asked. He had just finished at the station organising Tyler's service which would be held tomorrow. He was on his way to his work and then after the service tomorrow he would be free to head back to Wollongong to be with his sister. He had enjoyed the time with her the last week even though it hadn't been under the best of circumstances.

"Macey had a call from the real estate. She isn't sure about anything. She has an offer and doesn't know what to do about it" Johan told Asher. "Right, well I'll be back tomorrow night. We can chat about it then" Asher stated. "Actually they need an answer today. I know the listing price and the offer is 500k below that" Johan replied. He was watching Macey the entire time who was dozing off again. He knew she needed as much rest as possible.

"What does Macey want to do about it?" Asher asked. "She wants to sleep" Johan replied amused that she was fighting to stay awake. "I don't think she is in the right frame of mind to do anything this quickly after everything that's happened" Johan added. "Right, I'll call the guy and tell him to give her a week to get back to him or we will list elsewhere" Asher replied. By the time the call was finished, Macey was sound asleep on Johan's chest.

Johan watched Macey sleeping on his chest for another hour. He ran his hands through her hair, he was content with having Macey in his arms. He had fallen hard and fast for Macey but there was just something about her that drew him in. He would have liked to have had more time with her before he confessed he loved her but he didn't want to change it at all. Well except for the part of her nearly being killed by her brother.

Macey began to wake groaning in pain, it was time for her pain medication and she knew she needed them. They made her tired but they did help a lot. Macey looked up to see Johan looking down at her smiling. "Sorry" she mumbled, Macey was heavy and she had just spent god knows how long sleeping on Johan. "Sorry?" Johan questioned. "Yeah I'm heavy, you should have woken me" Macey mumbled sitting up.

Johan sat up behind Macey and wrapped his hands around her waist pulling her back into his chest. "You are not heavy, you are fucken sexy" Johan said before kissing the side of Macey's neck. Macey laughed, she knew she was on the bigger side but she was happy with her looks and confident in her body, she wouldn't say sexy though. Macey stood up and groaned in pain. Johan was up behind her quickly, he was concerned. "Are you in pain?" Johan asked.

"It's time for my pain pills. Also, can we go grocery shopping tomorrow, please? I am in the mood for real food" Macey asked. Johan smiled but nodded, he liked that they were being a normal couple. "Also, I need to contact the uni my exams are next week. That reminds me I need to get my study notes from my dorm" Macey stated going to her bag to retrieve the pills. Then she called the uni.

Macey had spoken to her uni and they were very accommodating about her exams once she explained who she was. Her assault had been all over the news so she didn't really have to worry about gathering evidence. She would be able to sit her four exams over two days with special provisions which she was thankful for. By the time she was finished speaking to the uni, Johan had made her some toasted sandwiches and had set the couch up for a movie marathon.

"So I was thinking of another date right here. What do ya say?" Johan asked. Macey nodded, "sounds good to me, no funny business though" Macey replied smiling. "I'll keep my hands to myself" Johan laughed back. Macey snuggled into Johan and they sat watching movies for the rest of the afternoon. For dinner, they ordered from the local chicken shop because Johan had nothing in his fridge.

Johan and Macey had an early night. Macey was tired because she was still healing and the pain pills added to that. Johan wanted to be wherever Macey was, he enjoyed having her in his arms. Her body fit perfectly against his and it just felt right. He enjoyed having her in his arms, that's where she belonged.
