Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1184

"What's up?" Crimson asked, strolling over with a curious look.

Kruz didn't hold back, spilling the beans about the sudden crowd from Empire Base heading to the medical facility. Crimson's face turned serious in an instant.

Empire Base wouldn't move so many people without a good reason-unless-

They've probably tracked down Flora and Connor!

"Get the chopper ready, we're heading to the medical base right now!" Crimson barked urgently.

Ten minutes later, a fleet of helicopters was slicing through the air, all heading towards the medical base!

...

Meanwhile, over on Lone Island, the Falcone and Reyes families got the scoop too. They were buzzing with excitement!

"It's gotta be news about Flora!" Ethan exclaimed, "Mom, we need to get over there, pronto!"

"Round everyone up, let's head to the medical base!" Karter commanded, leading a big group with Raul and Henrik tagging along. Ever since Flora's incident, they'd been camping out at Lone Island with the Reyes family. With Flora's fate hanging in the balance, there was no way they could just chill back in Austenberg.

The two families met up at Lone Island's border, forming an even bigger group, all making a beeline for the medical base!

...

In the lab, Flora's experiment was wrapping up. She was as cool as a cucumber, while Eula was practically bouncing off the walls with excitement. They were on the last step, and Eula was so pumped he could barely contain his joy.

Success was just around the corner! An experiment that had eluded him for half a year was about to be nailed by Flora in less than an hour!

Flora glanced at his ecstatic face with a calm gaze, then suddenly paused her work. With a soft chuckle, she pulled up a chair and sat down. Nope, not gonna finish it.

"What are you doing?" Eula was frantic, "It's the last step, come on, finish it!"

He was itching to step in for Flora, but he knew this last step was crucial. A tiny misstep and the whole thing would flop, so he didn't dare to touch it. Flora casually lifted her chin, clearly not planning to continue.

Eula was so frustrated he felt like pulling out a gun! Not that he'd actually shoot her, of course. She was too much of a treasure to harm.

"What do you want? I'll give it to you, okay?" Eula nearly begged, "Just finish the experiment first, will you?"

This was the first time he met someone like Flora, who was tougher than nails and wouldn't budge an inch.

Flora watched his anxious expression, a sly smile playing on her lips, "Let's chat about the conditions we mentioned earlier."

"It's just conditions! Spill it!" Eula was on the verge of losing it.

"You know Jiang Congwen, right? He died in a car accident fifteen years ago. Tell me why." Flora decided to do the experiment first to leverage Eula's thirst for medical

breakthroughs, makin verage

him

Ove

unwilling to harm her, and then press him for answers.

Eula's face darkened immediately, his focus shifting from the experiment to Flora, "How do you know him?"

"That's not your concern," Flora said coolly, "You just need to tell me."

Eula stayed silent, still watching Flora intently, as the elder walked in.

"Sir, we've dug up Flora's identity," the elder whispered to Eula, laying out everything he had found. Flora's background wasn't a huge secret on Lone Island, so it hadn't taken much effort to find out. "You're the newly acknowledged daughter of the Reyes family?" Eula's expression shifted multiple times, "So, you're Jiang Congwen's daughter?"

"That's me." Flora confirmed without hesitation.

"No wonder," Eula chuckled, "No wonder your talent is off the charts. The child of Congwen and Mo Yan was bound to be exceptional. I even held you when you were a kid." "You knew my parents?"

"Of course," Eula replied. He saw no harm in sharing, as he figured Flora had no real leverage.

"Your father, Jiang Congwen, was a

remarkable figure, a genius in medicine. Your mother was even

more evirdinary. In terms of

medical skills, no one could match her. Plus, she was into martial arts. Her world seemed quite different from ours."

Flora's eyes narrowed. Martial arts? Jules' new drug research was tied to this too. He mentioned a wonder drug that could cure cancer and even enable people to harness inner power, making feats like walking on water possible. "It seemed like they were being hunted. I saved them by chance, and they offered to repay me," Eula recalled with a smirk, "I asked your mom to take me to her world. I wanted a taste of The Martialist's world, but she flat-out refused."

"Later, your parents stayed to help

with my experiments, but as we progressed, they got squeamish, saying my methods were too cruel, using human subjects." Eula's face turned grim, "They wanted to cut ties with me. And I don't take betrayal lightly."

"No, no, no, they were my treasures. I couldn't bear to kill them," Eula sneered, "I wanted to keep them for my experiments, but they were killed by someone else before I could act. By the time I got there, there wasn't a single body left."

"So, you killed them!" Flora's gaze turned icy cold.
