Finding Emery

Seb picked up Emery and brought her into his chest. He didn't know how much to share with the boys at all. Uncle Mike, Kody, Tristan, Jasper, Chase and Taz were all standing at the door watching on. Bentley was waiting outside so he could check to see if Emery was physically ok. Seb walked out of the shed with the three kids following him not wanting to be away from Emery.

"Let me check her quickly" Bentley stated scanning over Emery's body as Seb held her close. "Why did she come here?" Tucker asked again. He wanted to know why Emery had fled and came to the run down shed. How did she even know it was here? "She felt unsafe and this place makes her feel safe" Kody answered simply. Kody had gotten close to Emery since she returned being her guard. When Emery felt unsafe she sort out a safe person and if that didn't work she wanted a safe space. Her shed was her safe space.

Tucker refused to be away from Emery and went into the car with Seb and Emery's uncle Mike. He held her hand and glared at Seb wanting the little girl to be on his lap. Seb was to focused on his cousin and wiping the tears that kept falling from her eyes even though she was asleep. "Tucker, you need to go back to school" Tristan stated but Tucker shook his head no. "Dad, we need to stay with Emery, we promised and you told me never to break promises" Lucas stated. Tristan nodded his head in understanding. "Boss, are we able to come over? I can ring Paulo and Tucker's dad and let them know" Tristan asked. He didn't want to overstep with his boss as he could see how worked up Emery disappearing had made Michael.

Michael nodded once before motioning for Tristan to move back from the car. He wanted to get home and hold his niece in his own arms to make sure she was ok. He wanted to also demolish that bloody shed so Emery wouldn't run there ever again. He despised that thing because it reminded him of how close Emery was to him for the two years they couldn't find her.

"Why did she not feel safe with us? How come the shed is safe?" Tucker asked. All Tucker wanted to do was help Emery. Tucker knew about hiding and people not being safe but Emery had run away from even him and didn't go home but to an old shed. "Emery feels safe in the shed because she lived there for a while after her dad got hurt. When we were yelling she didn't feel safe at school" Michael explained to the boy. Michael was thankful that the boys had stuck with Emery when she took off and stayed with her until they had found the little girl. "Does she not have somewhere to hide at her house?" Tucker asked, after all he did. Michael shook his head no. He would change that today though. He would provide a safe space for Emery at his house and demand one at the school too.

As Michael pulled up at home, Paulo's dads and Tucker's dad were there waiting for their kids. Paulo's dads were holding hands and looked worried where as Tucker's dad looked pissed off. Tucker looked worried but he knew he could not avoid that man forever. Michael got out of the car just as Tucker did. The others were just pulling up behind them all. Tristan was worried for Tucker as soon as he saw his dad's face and hurried to get to the boy to try and calm his father down.

"The fuck have you been? You little shit" Dane screamed as soon as he saw his son. Seb got out of the car after Tucker holding Emery to his chest. The minute that Emery heard screaming she woke with a fright, scanning the area looking for danger. "Sir, I was with Emery" Tucker replied to his father. He knew he was in trouble and hoped by telling the truth, he wouldn't get in as harsh a punishment. "You took off for a piece of pussy?" Dane scream before pouncing at his son knocking the boy into the car smashing his head in the process.

Tristan rushed towards Tucker knowing that Dane was not finished with him. Jasper lunged towards Dane throwing him off Tucker causing him to fall into Kody. "You think this is over you piece of shit? These people are not going to protect you when you get home" Dane spat. "I hope the piece of pussy was worth it" he spat.

Emery was a mess trying to get out of Seb's arms. She was throwing her arms and legs around screaming. She wanted to comfort her friend but she also wanted to flee. This all screamed danger to her and after fleeing the school she was already on high alert. "Shhh Emmy, it's Seb. I won't let him hurt you. You are safe" Seb kept repeating but it wasn't calming Emery down at all. "Tucker" Emery managed to sob out when he didn't get up after hitting his head on the car.

Uncle Mike stalked towards Dane, how dare that man insult his niece and think he would get away with it. Then he hurt a child, a child that had protected his niece. It now all made sense to Michael, how Tucker knew there was no safe space for her to hide at home because clearly Tucker needed to hide from his own father. Michael was not the best man around, he had done some horrible things, but he hated men who hurt children and this man had hurt a child in front of him and was a member of the Quake's gang. Not for much longer actually, if Michael had anything to do with it.

"Boss, I'll punish the bastard" Dane spat when he saw Michael walking towards him. Michael didn't answer him instead. "Kody, take the kids inside. Bentley check on Tucker and Emery" Michael spoke quietly then smirked at Dane who was now visibly paling releasing that his boss was now coming right towards him. "As for you" Michael began before turning to make sure the kids wouldn't see him. Michael then swung hitting Dane in the face and dropping him on his arse, "never and I mean never, put your hands on a child again" Michael spat. Michael then kicked Dane in the ribs hearing a satisfying crunch in the process "and don't you dare disrespect my niece ever again" Michael spat.
