Finding Emery

When Kody picked Emery up from school he was horrified to see the little girl with a busted lip even though she was smiling. Tristan was standing there looking as scared as Kody was feeling. Tucker had his arm around Emery and sporting his own bruises. Paulo and Lucas also had a few bruises which were visible but none of the kids would talk. Tristan hadn't been able to establish what had happened during free play this afternoon with the older class. All he knew was four boys were also sporting busted lips, bruised faces and looked a lot worse then these four.

"Princess Emery, what happened?" Kody rushed out when he saw her lip. Emery just shrugged her shoulders while smiling up at Tucker who was smiling down at her. "Your uncle and brothers aren't going to be happy Emery, you need to tell me what happened" Kody rushed out. "I don't know what you are talking about" Emery muttered before looking at Tucker, Paulo and Lucas and bursting out laughing. Kody sighed and ushered Emery into the car. "We will follow you and hopefully we can get some answers" Tristan stated.

Tucker snuck in the car with Emery while Tristan was talking to Kody, he didn't want Kody pressuring Emery to talk while she was alone. Emery smiled at Tucker and zipped her lips. Tucker winked at Emery and then repeated zipping his lip towards Paulo and Lucas who nodded. None of the kids wanted to talk about what happened cause they didn't want to get in trouble at all.

When Kody got in the car and drove off he, looked back to see Tucker sitting next to Emery smiling at the girl and groaned. He was hoping he could get the little girl to talk when she was on her own because Michael would have his head for the split lip. "Emmy, you need to tell me what happened so I can fix it" Kody pleaded with the little girl. "What needs fixing?" Emery asked acting oblivious. She knew what Kody meant, she wasn't stupid but she wasn't going to make this easy for any of them.

Kody continued to try to coax the little girl to tell him what happened before they got home but nothing was working. In the end her and Tucker ended up laughing at how frustrated Kody became. "Emery this is serious, you got hurt and I need to know how" Kody complained. He was sounding like a child but whatever worked. He wanted to save his own arse as well as trying to work out if Emery was in danger.

As they pulled up Chase and Seb were waiting at the front door and Kody was scared. He had no idea what had happened and just hoped he would still be breathing by tomorrow morning. Seb opened the back door glaring at Tucker who was blocking his view of Emery. "Hi Sebby" Emery chirped before leaning forward so he could see her face. Seb smiled at the nick name but quickly his face turned hard. "What the fuck happened?" He yelled causing Emery to flinch back and Tucker to throw his body over the little girl to protect her.

"Dude you are scaring her" Chase shouted at Seb. Chase hadn't seen Emery's face at all and didn't know what the hell Seb was yelling about. "She has a busted lip dickhead" Seb yelled back. Kody slowly got out of the car and opened the door for Emery and Tucker to get out of the car. Emery hid herself behind Tucker as she was now scared she was going to be in big trouble. Tristan pulled up with Paulo and Lucas in the back of his car to see Seb and Chase fuming and he gulped fearing for his own life.

"Emmy Hunny, show me your face" Chase demanded when Emery pushed her face into Tucker's chest. Chase could see the three young boys all sported different bruises and wanted to make sure that Emery didn't as well. Seb knew she did but Chase didn't know. Emery shook her head no, she didn't want to be yelled at or worse still, sent away because she had hurt someone who hurt her.

"Emmy, show them. I'll protect you" Tucker whispered to the girl when Seb and Chase glared at him. Emery slowly turned around still gripping on to Tucker. "What the fuck?" Chase yelled scaring Emery who threw her face back into Tucker's body. "You are scaring her" Tucker grumbled to the Quake men. He wasn't happy at all with her brother and cousin. Kody and Tristan both remained quiet.

"You did this to her?" Seb accused. "No, but you should see the boys who did" Lucas stated happy that they had dealt with the bullies who had hurt Emery. "Right you four inside, I'm getting uncle Mike" Chase stated firmly and ushered the four kids into the living room. Emery kept her face in Tucker's chest and eventually he picked her up with her legs wrapped around his stomach and her face then buried into his neck.

"Dad get down here now, it's Emmy" Seb called out once they were all in the living room. Michael, Jasper and Taz all came running downstairs thinking something horrible had happened. "What's happened? Where is my princess?" Uncle Mike rushed out when they all made it downstairs. Seb pointed into the living room where they could see the three boys and Emery being held by the boy they knew as Tucker.

Uncle Mike scowled at the boy who was clearly holding his niece and stormed into the living room thinking this was the problem. "What is going on here? Why are you carrying my niece?" Uncle Mike barked out. Paulo and Lucas stepped beside Tucker seeing how tense Emery got when she heard her uncle was angry. Both boys put their hands on her back in comfort to show they had her back just like Tucker did. "Why don't you put her down?" Chase mocked. Emery shook her head no.

"Emmy, I'll protect you so will Lucas and Paulo" Tucker whispered. Emery slowly detached herself from Tucker smiling up at him. She then slowly turned around leaving her head down so no one could see her face. "Emmy hunny what's wrong?" Taz asked softly, he could see that she was avoiding looking at them and didn't understand why. "Emery look up" Seb firmly told her earning glares from Jasper, uncle Mike and Taz. Emery slowly brought her head up revealing her face to the rest of the Quake's while offering a small smile to show them she was ok.
