Finding Emery

Chapter 35

The next morning Emery was up early and dressed by 7.40 wanting to go to school to be with Tucker. No one was moving fast enough for her liking at all. "Baby the gates are not open yet and you need to eat some breakfast before you go" Chase told his sister for the 10th time this morning when he caught her trying to get to the front door to walk to school. Emery pouted, she wanted to be with Tucker and he said to come early. "Hunny the gates aren't open until 8.30, that's almost an hour to go" Jasper added. Emery didn't care the earlier she was there, the more time she would get to spend with Tucker.

Emery stomped her way into the kitchen, throwing herself on a chair. She was annoyed that she couldn't see Tucker. "Emmy what would you like to eat?" Uncle Mike asked. Emery just huffed, she didn't want to eat at all. "What about some strawberries? Or some toast?" Seb asked when he saw Emery was not going to answer.

Kody was sitting at the table eating some toast and decided to just make her a strawberry smoothie. He got up and began to make it as Jasper walked into the kitchen. He had gone to his office to make sure that things were ready for when they all paid Miss Ando a visit for hurting Emery.

Jasper picked up Emery placing the little girl on his lap hoping that would help get her into a better mood. She always use to like to snuggle in the mornings because no Quake was a morning person. "You don't smell right, I like Tucker's smell" Emery mumbled. She really wanted to snuggle with Tucker and smell the washing powder not the perfume stuff her cousins and brothers wore. Uncle Mike smelled like daddy when he went to work and Emery liked that too.

Jasper was not happy at all. "What does Tucker smell like?" Bentley asked seeing the unhappy look on Emery's face. "Washing powder like daddy" Emery grumbled as someone knocked on the door. Uncle Mike went to answer the door while Kody placed the smoothie in front of Emery. Emery reluctantly took a small sip seeing the look on everyone's face. She knew she wouldn't get to got to school without something in her tummy.

Uncle Mike opened the door to see Tristan and three young boys at the door. "Good morning boss, sorry to bother you but the boys were wondering if Miss Emery would like to come with us to school today?" Tristan asked. "She will go with her guard" Michael grumbled out, he assumed one of these kids was Tucker and he was unhappy the kid had shown up at the door.

"Please boss, can we see Emmy?" Tucker asked. He had picked a flower for Emery from his mums garden and wanted to give it to her before school so she could wear it in her hair like his mum did. Tucker had used the word boss because Tristan had and he didn't want to upset the man who looked after Emery. "Emery is eating her breakfast" Uncle Mike grunted out.

Emery had heard Tucker and the door and quickly ran towards the door to see if she was hearing things. "Tucker" she squealed when she saw him just as uncle Mike went to close the door. "Emmy" Tucker called out and Emery went running into Tucker's arms just as all the Quake's came out of the kitchen. The Quake's were glaring daggers at the boy they now knew was Tucker.

When Emery was finished hugging Tucker she waved to Paulo and Lucas as well in greeting because Tucker wouldn't let her go over and hug them. "Emery you need to finish your breakfast" Chase grumbled out, the less time these two spent together the better it would be. Emery just shook her head no, there was no way she would be leaving Tucker now he was here. "Princess Emery, you hardly had any of your smoothie and you don't want the drip again do you?" Asked Bentley.

Emery shook her head no, if she was on a drip that would mean she was in bed and not going to school. That means no seeing or playing with Tucker. "Please Emmy, have some more for me? I don't want you to be sick" Tucker stated and Emery immediately nodded her head yes not wanting to upset her future husband. "I'll wait for you if you like" Tucker mumbled after noticing all the men glaring at him. "You want to share?" Emery asked.

Emery dragged Tucker into the kitchen with her and immediately picked up the smoothie drinking some and then handing it to Tucker to try. "Don't boys have cooties? Jasper asked after seeing Emery sharing her drink. "Tucker is going to be my husband we can swap cooties" Emery declared making Tucker turn bright red and the Quake men groan. They didn't want to think about that at all. It was easier if she referred to Kody as her husband because they knew that would never happen.

Tucker remembered the flower and quickly took it from his pocket. "Emmy, I picked this for you to put in your hair. It's nearly as pretty as you, but you are prettier" Tucker rushed out. Emery kissed Tucker's cheek in thanks. She was as red as he was. "Tazzy, can you put it in my hair?" Emery asked Taz who couldn't believe that the kid had just used a pick up line on his baby sister. "Tazzy put the flower in my hair" Emery demanded when Taz hadn't moved to help put the flower in. "Come here Princess Emery, I'll do it" Bentley stated before helping to put the flower in Emery's hair.

Once Emery and Tucker had finished the smoothie, Kody and Bentley took them to school leaving the Quake's in the kitchen grumbling. "Can't we take him down to the cells?" Taz grumbled. He didn't like the way his sister looked at that boy and he didn't like the way that boy looked at his sister. "No" Jasper grumbled, he did want to, but it was a kid and the Quake's didn't hurt kids. "Bloody Tucker" uncle Mike fumed out.

The Quake's stormed down to the cells, at least they could take their anger out on the woman who hurt Emery. "She is to blame, that kid would of never met Emery if she hadn't of touched my sister and sat her on that seat" Chase grumbled. "He is right, let's get Jules in to make her pay. If Emmy never met Tucker, she would still be happy saying Kody was her husband" Seb spat. He had plenty of ideas to share with Jules on how to hurt Miss Ando.
