Finding Emery

Jasper, Seb and Chase were standing back watching Emery screaming but she had a vacant look on her face. "Uncle Mike don't get any closer" Taz said worried Emery would pass out again. "Emmy baby stop screaming you are safe" uncle Mike tried again stepping closer to the girl. Her eyes were now darting around frantically trying to find an out. She needed to get to the shed and quickly because they were invading her space.

Emery continued to scream when Roberto called out to Michael. "Give her some space Michael" Roberto calling out gave Emery a distraction to use. Emery used this to her advantage and took off running to her shed. "Emery stop" Jasper called out seeing the little girl run. Uncle Mike swung around seeing Emery running across the grass. He took off after her wanting to reassure her she was safe.

Emery made it to the shed and went to pull he door open. She wasn't paying attention to her surroundings at all. Uncle Mike caught her as she tried to open the door and pulled her into his chest. "I got you baby, you are ok. You are safe" Uncle Mike stated but all Emery did was scream and begin to thrash around in his hold.

"Michael put her down" Maria rushed out seeing the look of terror on Emery's face. "Emmy Shhh it's Uncle Mike" Uncle Mike rushed out before the little girl passed out. "Get me a doctor here now" Michael called out while walking into the house carry Emery in his arms. He could feel her heart racing and she was clammy to touch. Emery was also taking shallow breaths only and he was worried something was terribly wrong.

"Michael she will be ok" Maria rushed out seeing the look on his face. "Get me a doctor here now" Michael again boomed out, he wouldn't believe Emery was ok until a doctor told him so. He felt so guilty for sending Emery away and blamed himself for her current state.

Jasper pulled out his phone to call Bass demanding he get here yesterday. He was also blaming himself and didn't know what to do. All the Quake's felt useless and guilty. Kody had grabbed Nix from where Emery dropped it, when she passed out. He genuinely felt bad for the girl and how cruel life had been for her. He had tried to help and she would allow him closer to her then others and she would allow him to hold Nix but he couldn't comfort her or touch her. Taz was able to give Emery food and water but then had to sit away from her. Taz was not allowed to touch Emery either. Emery had lost trust in everyone and trust in the world.

Doctor Bass turned up 40 minutes later and he saw the Quake's pacing the room. He was worried someone was seriously hurt. When he was lead to Emery who was once again passed out, he allowed himself to breath. "She is taking shallows breaths and is clammy. What's wrong with her?" Uncle Mike barked.

Doctor Bass checked Emery out, she was in fact taking shallow breaths. He also noted that Emery had lost weight again and she now seemed to be dehydrated. "She is dehydrate and needs to be on a drip. She has lost weight and her body is trying to expel the adrenaline. Because she has lost weight again, her body is struggling. I want her on a drip immediately and then we can work out how to help her gain weight. I need to do a more thorough examination to check for any injuries" Bass spoke cautiously. Bass was concerned about the weight loss mainly but he didn't want to go straight to a feeding tube because she was still young.

Michael was pacing the front room, he knew Emery needed the hospital but he couldn't bare to be away from her again and knew the little girl would not cope. "Get it set up at my house. We leave immediately. Ring the crew make sure the inside of the house is cleaned by the time we reach home" Michael barked. He was going to make Emery feel safe again and hoped that would help her with her weight gain.

Jasper called the cleaning crew alerting them that they had an hour to have the indoors cleaned. Kody and Taz headed up to pack their bags and grab Emery's things. Bass inserted a catheter into Emery's arm and slowly injected some fluids and medication to keep her sedated. He would put more fluids in when they got back to the Quake's.

Bass headed to the Quake's house to set up the equipment needed to help Emery. He knew if he stuffed this up, Michael would be out for blood. He hadn't seen Michael this worked up since he got news of his brother dying. Seb watched over Emery with Chase. They didn't want her waking alone even though the doctor assured them she wouldn't.

Maria and Roberto packed up some food for the Quake's not wanting them to have to worry about food. Maria had already made them lunch anyway and felt it was the least she could do. She wasn't Nancy's biological mother at all but she treated the Quake's like her own grandchildren and that meant Emery was her granddaughter. She wanted to go with the Quake's to help nurse Emery back to health. Roberto thought it was best to give the boys a few days with Emery and then visit them to help. He was horrified his daughter had a hand in killing Michael's brother and going after a child. He had raised her better then that. He supported the fact that Michael had a hand in her death, she had done damage to his family after all and her own brother had wanted blood too.

"Right let's go" Michael barked when every one returned to the front room. Uncle Mike picked Emery up while the boys said goodbye to Roberto and Maria taking the food that was given to them. "Michael we will see you in a few days. Keep us updated about our granddaughter" Roberto stated. This was a big deal in their world because Roberto had just claimed Emery as family. Michael nodded and sat in the back of the car cradling Emery. "My sweet girl, I'm so sorry. I'll never leave you again" uncle Mike whispered to his niece before kissing her on the forehead. He wanted her home and on a drip immediately.
