Chapter Dating 31

Chapter 31

Come to my room tonight. I need some tutoring.

this is

I woke up to text from Liam. It had been a while since we had done a tutoring session. He’d been busy with hockey practice and I had been focused on classes and working on the latest chapters of my romance novel

I didn’t know how to feel about Liam’s request though. Because we had been spending some time apart because of our had a better handle on my emotions. Things weren’t so confused when Liam wasn’t so close to me.

of our busy schedule, I felt like I

But here he was now, asking that I come to his room to tutor him. I wanted to say no, to tell him that I was busy, and try to brush him off. But 1 knew Liam.

I knew that if he didn’t hear from me, he would start getting worried and he’d come and find me. And then, I wouldn’t be able to hold him off any longer

And so, I went to Liam.

I knocked on Liam’s door hoping that maybe he’d forgotten about our tutoring session or that something would have come up for him and he’d text me saying that he couldn’t make it anymore But, no such luck.

“Ella, I’ve been waiting for you,” Liam said, as he pulled his door open. He had a big grin on his face. He pulled me into his room and quickly shut the door.

I looked around his room. It was just Liam and me. Oh, your roommate Blain isn’t here?” I said casually. If Blain was here, then I was su

sure I wouldn’t get confused about what Liam and I were

“Nah, he went out with some girl, I guess,” Liam said. He pulled the desk chair out for me and pointed towards it.

“Oh, so, we’re getting right to business?” I said. Okay. That was good. That meant we’d focus on school stuff. And nothing else. I sat in one chair and Liam slid into the seat right next to me.

“Yeah. I know how busy your schedule is,” Liam grinned.

The golden afternoon light streamed through his tall room windows, and I was glad that there was still some light. I knew how tempting things could get when it was dark outside.

I cleared my throat, So, which chapters of the history text did you need help with!”

Liam leaned back in his chair, stretching his arms, and then looked at me with a casual smile. “Before we get into school stuff, I actually wanted to talk about some fiction that I’ve been reading. It’s actually pretty good”

“Oh. I didn’t know you were much of a reader,” I said. In all the time Liam and I had hung out, I had never seen him reading.

“Well, I have a favorite writer and I try to keep track of when she drops her latest chapters online”

What’s her name?”

Liam shrugged, “I’m not actually sure. She writes under a pen name.”

I

I nodded, “Oh, that’s cool. Well, I’m glad you like reading. I love reading too I opened the history textbook and rifled through the pages that we’d been working on in class.

You know,” Liam continued, his voice coming out light, “her most recent chapter was actually a

y a pretty interesting read”

I glanced up from my notes, intrigued. I was curious to know what types of books Liam liked to read in his spare time. “Oh What’s the book

Liam’s smile widened slightly, and he leaned closer, lowering his voice as if he was sharing a huge secret, “The Last Sunrise.”

My heart skipped a beat.

“The_The Lair Sunrise?” I said, stuttering. Liam nodded.

The Last Sunrise was the name of the novel that I had been writing under my pen name on Zoodago, the serial publishing website where I upkaded my novel clupters. It was a secret that I had kept. Nobody knew that I published on there

Ifrit a jolt of shock race through me. My pen slipped from her fingers, I quickly bent down and picked it up. “You you’ve read that novel?”

Liam nodded, his eyes twinkling back at me with amusement. “Yeah, I did. The last chapter had quite the twist at the end. I so didn’t see that coming

My mind raced. How had he found out about the book? Did he know that I was the one who

wrote it!

-I know of that book. So how did you like it? Lasked. I couldn’t help myself. This was the first time I was talking to someone in real life that had read one of my books.

Liam smiles, “I really, really, liked it”

I had been so careful about making sure that no one knew about my writing online. Not even Noah knew about my writing online and he had been around me countless times while I was drafting the novels. “How did you I mean, I didn’t think those kinds of books were your kind of book.”

Liam shrugged, his expression thoughtful. “A friend recommended it, and I was curious” Liam looked at me then, his eyes going soft. “It’s really well written, Ella. You have a talent.

I felt my cheeks flush with a mix of embarrassment and pride. “You know that I’m the one who wrote that?”

Liam nodded

I had never expected someone like Liam, an Alpha werewolf, with his tough exterior and she wolves throwing themselves at him, to appreciate my romance novels. “Thank you. I just I can’t believe you know that I’m the one writing those novels, she murmured, still trying to process this information.

Liam leaned back again, a playful glint in his eyes. “You know, we could try out some scenes from your book on our next fake date. That might make it a lot more interesting.”

My eyebrows shot up, and I couldn’t help laughing. “You want to reenact scenes from my romance novel‘

“Why not?” Liam said with a grin. “Might be fun. Plus, it’ll add some authenticity to our act

out also

I couldn’t deny that the idea intrigued me. It was surprising, but also not really surprising, that Liam would suggest we reenact scenes from my novel. The things he did in bed were almost identical to what I had written in my novels. The things he could do with his tongue_

It made me see him in a new light. I was really starting to see that there were so many layers to Liam that I really didn’t know. I surprised myself when I said, “Okay, but no promises that I won’t laugh at you

Apparently, I surprised Liam too because his eyebrows shot up. Then he let out a laugh. “Deal. I’ll do my best to impress you.”

I couldn’t believe how easy it was talking to Liam about practicing the sex scenes I’d written in my novel, with him. The sexual tension between us was growing and this time. I didn’t want to run away from it. It was exciting, but also, it was terrifying,

“Well, why want till the next session, maybe we should just test some of those scenes out now?” I said.

I got up from my chair and went to Liam straddling him. Liam’s eyes went dark with hunger.

Suddenly the bedroom door began to juggle as someone tried to work their way in..
