Chapter 15 Heart of the Ocean
"Splash—" She pats her cheek a few times and cheers herself up. "Nino, cheer up, stop thinking about it, the person outside is
just an ordinary person, an ordinary person..."
Nino keeps hypnotizing herself, and after washing her face again, she walks out of the bathroom.
Food has already been ordered and is beginning to be served on the table.
"I didn’t know what Miss Yin liked to eat, so we just ordered some randomly. If Miss Yin would like anything else, feel free to
order." Mimosa attends to Nino politely as a hostess.
"No, these are enough, Miss Qu, thank you."
Nino smiles and waves her hand to refuse, but Yasin does not say anything.
During the meal, Mimosa occasionally expresses her thoughts on the design of the new house. "Actually, I prefer rustic style, but
Yasin doesn't seem to like it."
She smiles and speaks to Nino. "He must feel that rustic style is too girly and not suitable for men."
Yasin smiles. "If you like it, just let Miss Yin design the house in rustic style. Don’t mind me, you know, I can't refuse anything you
like."
Nino eats sullenly. Only she knows that at this moment, no matter how delicious the food is, it feels like she is chewing on wax.
Yasin spoils Mimosa, and even outsiders like her can see it clearly.
Mimosa smiles happily. "With the way you are treating me, aren’t you afraid that I’ll become too spoiled!"
"You are very sensible, so you won’t become too spoiled."
Nino can't get into their personal world at all. Of course, she doesn’t want to get into it. So, she just dips her head sullenly and
eats obediently.
Her heart is empty, so she cannot let her stomach be empty as well.
Finally, they go with Mimosa’s opinion for the design of their new home and decide on rustic style.
After dinner, Nino hurriedly leaves the restaurant with the materials after she finishes negotiating with them.
Before leaving, perhaps because she is too anxious, she accidentally bumps into the oncoming waiter.
"Sorry, sorry." Nino apologizes and hurriedly pushes the door to get out.
After she leaves the restaurant, she sighs for a long time and feels that even the air around her is making her a lot more at ease.
It is dark. She looks up at the vast, galaxy-like, starry sky, and smiles with relief. Finally...Nino, you have walked out of his life
completely!
While she feels gratified, there is still an inexplicable sorrow that keeps spiraling in the bottom of her heart.
She dips her head and walks alone to the train station.
Nino, you have come out of his life, but what about him? When is he going to get out of your life?...
"Sir, these are the earring that fell off the lady who was at the table with you."
Standing at Yasin's table is the waiter who just collided with Nino.
When he finds the earring on the ground and chases out, Nino has already left.
Yasin is stunned for a few seconds when he sees the earring that the waiter hands over.
It is a very small diamond.
Although the diamond is fine, the carvings are so exquisite that even modern craftsmanship rarely reaches such a level.
"Leave it to me, she is my friend and I will return it to her."
Yasin takes the earring.
Mimosa looks over curiously, and then whispers. "This... isn't this Heart of the Ocean? Miss Yin doesn't look like a rich person,
this... but the only fine diamond of Heart of the Ocean in the world!"
"Yeah."
Yasin groans.
He rubs the earring between his thumb and index finger. He stares thoughtfully for a while, and the gaze in his dark eyes
becomes more intense.
It is half an hour later when Nino realizes that she lost her earring.
She sits on the train boredly and fixes the hair at the back of her ears subconsciously. When she touches her empty earlobe, she
is taken aback.
Where is her earring?
Nino scratches her ear anxiously again, no, still no.
She gets up, straightens her long hair, looks around, but doesn’t see the earring.
In her hair, in her clothes, and even in her bag, there is nothing.
Nino is a little anxious. At this time, the train reaches the hospital. Nino doesn’t have time to think about it and goes straight to
the hospital.
She looks everywhere in Yann’s ward.
"Mommy, why are you acting like a little mouse? You made Yann’s place a mess."
Yann sits cross-legged on the bed, pouts his mouth, and "reprimands" Nino for not being tidy.
"Good baby, mommy lost something very, very important, so I must find it." As Nino speaks, she moves to another corner of the
ward.
"Nino, what did you lose?" Yann changes his posture on the bed and watches curiously as Nino runs around in the room.
"Mommy's earring is gone. It’s the blue one, the one that mommy always wears, you know?"
"But, when you came to see me this afternoon, didn't you still have it?"
"Really?"
"Yes indeed!"
The little guy nods firmly.
Nino is a little anxious. Perhaps she has dropped it in the restaurant or in his house?
"Baby, you go to bed first. Mommy is going to head out and will come back soon, okay?"
