Chasing The Broken CEO

Chapter 91

It was already afternoon when I woke up the next day. I shifted my position and noticed that Evan wasn't on my bed. He's really a morning person, I guess. I inhaled heavily as I remembered the passionate kisses we've shared last night. I touched my lips. A smile escaped on it. What happened last night was very intimate...

Evan is truly righteous and gentleman. I am not that dumb. Chandria have opened my eyes into this kind of worldly topics and I knew for sure that men have their sexual needs. I am certain that Evan has the same need but he was really controlling himself. What a righteous man! I even tried seducing him last night so we can proceed with the most exciting part, but I only failed as he only wanted the kissing part. I admire him as he could control his desire just like that... I wish I could do that too. I can't seem to control myself whenever our body gets closer. It's like my inner soul craves for more and won't be sated by just kissing and cuddling with him. I shook my head. My cheeks flushed as I covered my face with a pillow. Why... why do I feel so lustful?

I got off from bed and noticed a sticky note on my side table. I took it and read Evan's message.

Good afternoon, love. We'll do island hopping and attend a colleague's beach party on a private island afterwards. Pack your bag. I'll wait for you in the yacht.

- Evan.

My brow arched instantly upon reading his note. The picture of the private island across the Virgin Island suddenly popped up in my mind. Is that the island he was referring to? I just shrugged and started packing up my things. Undies, essentials, white sandals and a baby pink ruffle trim off shoulders. Those were the things I put inside my huge shoulder bag. After preparing my stuff, I went to the bathroom and took a quick bath. A few minutes later, I ran into my closet to get dressed. I wore my nude colored bodysuit and a high waist denim short. On top of those was a knitted beach kimono that matches the color of my bodysuit. I also wore a summer hat and a simple pair of flip flops. After putting some light makeup on my face and having one last look at my reflection in front of the mirror, I grabbed my shoulder bag and went out of my room.

Grandma was all smiles when I ran downstairs. She was seated in the living room and reading a famous magazine on her hands.

"Sweetheart, you woke up very late! Evan has been waiting for you in the yacht." She exclaimed as I kissed her forehead.

"His fault. He didn't wake me up, grandma." I replied, smiling at her.

"The weather seems to be fine and I am sure you'll enjoy island hopping. Take care, alright?" she said with a smile plastered on her face.

I nodded at her, excited to do the island hopping as that will be the first time Evan and I would do it together. I reminded my grandmother about her medication before waving goodbye to her. Smiling widely, I went out of the mansion and ran towards the gate.

The beach was just a few steps away from the house. I walked on the side of the road with a smile on my lips. The fresh air is relaxing and grandma was right when she said that the weather is fine. The sky is clear today.

After a few minutes of walk, I finally felt the soft beach sand underneath my feet. The air started to blow my hair as continued to walk. I wore my aviator and let out a sigh. I looked around and found the yacht on the left side of the beach. Evan was right there, watching me intently while leaning both of his arms on the railings of the yacht. He looked so dazzling as the air blew on his hair perfectly. His black long sleeves suits him better, the buttons of it are opened enough for me to see his broad chest. He's too charismatic with his aviator on. He could be a model or a prince! I smiled inwardly at my own thought. Why am I liking the view?

I walked towards the yacht. My heart could not calm down. Every steps I take, my body is getting weaker as Evan's eyes did not even leave me. Being his girlfriend is way difficult than I thought whenever he looks at me with his piercing eyes. I can't handle it! The butterflies inside my stomach would definitely go crazy!

Evan went down from yacht as soon as I stopped in front of it. He remover his aviator and hung it on his chest. He smiled at me that made my heart skip a beat for a moment.

"You ready, love?" He uttered coolly.

I only nodded my head. He offered his hand and I accepted it. He then assisted me as we walked on the boarding stairs. The yacht started moving when we finally reached the deck. I held Evan's arms as I observed how the yacht made its move. I looked around and saw someone at the cockpit situated on the center part. He's handling the gear and navigating it professionally.

"Don't worry, this yacht will not sink, Risha." Evan chuckled as he held me carefully.

"Shut up!" I hissed as my I felt the fear ran down my spine. "I don't know how to swim so you better take care of me!"

He pinched my cheek softly. "I got you, Rish. Come..."

As he held my hand, I walked with him towards the front part of the yacht. From there, I saw a table with rose petals on it and with food that really smells good. I didn't realize I was too hungry until I saw the food that was served.

But I also want to feast on Evan. Damn it! I shoved that thought out of my head. I didn't expect my mind to have that kind of worldly thoughts... All because of what happened last night!

"I assumed you haven't eaten anything yet. It might take an hour before we arrive in the island so we can have our lunch for the time being," said Evan as he pulled the chair for me. I sat down and thanked him.

He sat down on the chair in front of me. I pouted my lips as I watched him putting some food on my plate. He also filled our wine glass with a white wine.

"You woke up early to set this up?" I asked curiously.

He squinted his eyes, and smiled.

"Didn't you like it?"

I shook my head abruptly and said, "No! I like it, actually! I was just confused because you were not beside me when I woke up," I pressed my lips together. "You didn't tell me last night that we'll go for island hopping today." I reasoned out. "I'm sorry, love. I was too busy cuddling with you so I wasn't able to inform you last night..." he pursed his lips.

I bit my tongue to suppress my smile. My brow arched but I guess, he really forgot to tell me.

"Alright, shall we eat?"

"Sure," he sighed in relief and smiled.

We finally arrived at Virgin Island after an hour. My lips parted in awe as the sand bar can be seen from the yacht. I would say that this is the most beautiful island in Bohol! The white sands are almost sparkling because of the sunshine of the sun and the air is a bit warm this time.

Evan went down from the yacht and then offered his hand to me. I held it as I walked down the boarding stairs. I was in the middle part of it when Evan suddenly carried me. I almost screamed because of it.

I punched his chest. He only laughed and continued holding my hand.

I looked around the island as we walked together on the sand bar. It's strange because it seems that we're the only tourists who visited the island today. It's empty but that doesn't lessen the beauty of the island. It's totally fascinating. "I think we're the only ones here. Where are the other tourist?" I commented as I glared at Evan.

"Perhaps they are in the other islands. I was informed that snorkeling activity is not available here." He replied and just shrugged.

"Then why are we even here?"

"It's more fun when the island is empty. We can do whatever we want," he said, smirking at me.

Maybe he's right. We continued to walk as we held each other's hand. The island is peaceful and comforting. Other islands aren't visible from here. All I could see was the very thin line between the sky and sea. Perhaps that was also the reason why it is called the Virgin Island. It seems to me that this is a sacred island because of its cleanliness and purity. The little rocks along the white sands are shining as if they are diamonds. I'm falling in love with the beauty of this island. I just feel great that we went here. This place is truly amazing!

I released Evan's hand and ran towards the shore where I saw a lot of star fish.

"Oh, my! You guys are so cute!" I exclaimed as I squatted on the sand to have a better look of them. There are five of them and it seemed like they are having a conversation on their own language. Each one has its own color. There is a white one, light pink, a yellow one and two brown starfish. I touched the skin of the pink starfish and mouthed 'wow'. It's very fluffy and soft!

I chuckled and put the pink starfish on my palm. It's cold and the excitement ran through my spine.

Starfish doesn't bite, right?

I turned around to see Evan. His hands are inside his pocket. He's eyeing me with a smile on his lips. Even his eyes are screaming of happiness.

I ran towards him so that he could see what's on my palm.

"Evan, look! Isn't it cute? This starfish is too fat!" I exclaimed as I let him see the starfish on my hand.

"It is..." he replied and caressed my hair. "Rish..."

"Can we take it "

I was not able to finish my words when he suddenly knelt down in front of me. My eyes widened. I looked down at him, confused as to why he was kneeling down right now. "Evan..." I called his name softly.

His gaze turned to me and I could see the familiar emotions in his eyes. My body started freezing up. I can feel the lump forming inside my chest.

"Risha..." he called my name.

"H-Hey, what are you doing?" I carefully asked.

He inhaled heavily. I noticed that he's nervous too. I swallowed very hard and let him speak as it feels like I could no longer utter even a single word now that my entire body is freezing up.

I don't even understand why I am on the verge of tearing up right now...

"Never did I imagine that I'd be capable of loving someone deeply more than I ever thought after a series of heartbreak I've encountered in the past..." he inhaled heavily and gazed up at me with his soulful eyes. I gasped.

Is he going to propose to me now?
