Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)

Chapter 840

A black car drove steadily on the road.

Theodore sat on the driver's seat, his hands firmly on the steering wheel as he kept his eyes on the road ahead.

Aurora sat in the front passenger seat, her seat belt buckled in. Her hands gripped uneasily over the belt as her heart raced.

She felt very nervous being in the same car as Theodore.

It was perhaps nerves from liking the man that made her so tense. She was worried over even the slightest movement that might make her look awkward and embarrass herself before him.

The silence in the air started feeling awkward. Aurora finally spoke up, breaking the silence.

"Your mother is really beautiful and your father is handsome, too. They look like a match made in heaven."

Theodore said indifferently, "They just look like it."

Aurora found Theodore's words strange.

Did his parents not have a good relationship, too? Why did she get strange vibes from his entire family?

She opened her mouth, wanting to ask further, but Theodore beat her to it. "I apologize for what happened before."

"What?"

"I suddenly left the hospital before, and didn't give you a reason for it. Last time, I also said some nasty things. I'm very thankful that you didn't count it against me, and even helped me this time round."

Aurora felt very comforted hearing Theodore's apology. "I know you didn't do it deliberately. You said what you said before for my good. I think it was good. At the very least, I know you won't string me along. Telling me directly is much better than stringing me along like what other men might do."

"I'm no better than other men. You know about what happened to me before, and why my ex-wife left me."

Theodore had already turned numb over it.

"But you know that you were in the wrong. Knowing your mistakes and changing makes you a good man. Everyone in this world makes mistakes. You shouldn't be too hard on yourself," Aurora said.

Theodore flashed her a smile, but a look of pain flashed past his eyes.

"The past cannot be changed,

whether I am hard on myself or not. Anyway, my mom tells me I should treat you to a meal," Theodore said, changing the subject. "What would you like to eat? It's on me, by way of expressing my gratitude. I might really need your help again next time."

"It's alright, I did it willingly. You don't need to treat me to a meal."

"You've got to at least tell me if you need help for anything, or if you have any wishes. If I can fulfill it, I surely will."

He didn't want to owe Aurora a favor.

"A wish..." Aurora pondered for a moment and said, "I do have a wish."

"What is it? Tell me," Theodore asked.

"I really want to go to Melrine for a holiday. Aside from going to nearby countries, I haven't actually been to other countries, even though I'm. past twenty. I really want to go out there and explore the world, take photographs of beautiful scenery

and experience different cultures."

"I'll buy you a flight ticket, and have someone plan out a route for you. I'll get someone to accompany you on the trip to Melrine, and you can stay there for as long as you wish. I'll cover the cost of the entire trip." All these were nothing to Theodore, and he could settle it in one call.

Aurora said with a smile, "My wish of traveling to Melrine can actually be fulfilled as long as I work hard and earn enough money. Unfortunately, my health is in a bad condition and I

don't know if I can have my fill 6

over there."

of fun

"It's fine as long as someone's with you," Theodore said. "It's not safe for you to go alone. It's dangerous being in a foreign country, especially alone as a lady. You have to be with someone." Theodore's thoughtfulness truly touched Aurora. He displayed such gallantry toward women.

Just as Theodore was speaking, a shadow flashed past right before them. He immediately stepped on the brakes.

The car ground to a halt, and Aurora's torso lurched forward. Thankfully, she didn't get injured as she was wearing the seal belt.

"What happened?" she asked.

"Sit here. I'll go take a look," Theodore said with furrowed brows.

With that, he unbuckled his seat belt and stepped out of the car.
