CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1718

Jamie was no longer seen as someone relying on Ben's success, she had truly carved out her own path. She had even reconciled with people like Summer and others, turning former rivals into friends. Meanwhile, everything had settled smoothly for Freya, and Nina already had plans to take Orion back to the Yaren Tribe for the summer. Wilfred planned to join them as well.

Seeing Wilfred still alone, Nina couldn't help but think about everyone around her. One by one, they were building their own happiness.

Scarlett was expecting her baby, Jamie and Ben were blissfully happy, and even Aunt Zoe, who had once faced doubts about her relationship, was now being cherished deeply by her partner.

Then there was Scott, who had shared the joyful news just last month-twin boys.

Now, it seemed like Wilfred was the only one left.

Nina hesitated. She knew she shouldn't interfere too much, but Wilfred had helped her so much, standing by her side all those years. To her, he had long been family.

She finally spoke up. "Wilfred, it feels like everyone is finding their happiness. You should go and find yours too."

With someone as exceptional as Wilfred, she knew he wouldn't have trouble meeting someone if he wanted to.

Wilfred understood what Nina was trying to say. Years ago, when Nash was presumed dead, Nina grieved for five long years. Those years were his chance, but no matter what he did, he couldn't find a way into Nina's heart. In time, he accepted it.

To him, standing close to happiness was its own kind of blessing.

"I feel very content with my life right now. Whenever you need me, I'm here to help you. Besides, before Pharaoh passed, he specifically asked me to look after you."

"But I shouldn't be your everything, Wilfred. You deserve your own life, your own happiness. Even Scarlett has a child now. You should think about settling down. What happens when..."

Before she could finish, Wilfred interrupted her with a soft laugh. "Is that all life is about, Nina? Getting married and having kids?

"I'm content with the way things are now."

Seeing how well Nina was doing, Wilfred felt a deep sense of contentment.

He had once endured being used as a human test subject, and though his body had recovered over time, the damage had left lasting scars. More than that, his heart had long been occupied by Nina. There was no room for anyone else.

"I know you're doing fine now," Nina

said softly, "but you could be doing better. Being alone like this... it's not fair to you. Look at my dad-at the end of his life, we were there by his side if you're alone, who's going to be there for you when that time comes?"

Wilfred understood Nina's good intentions, but he simply couldn't imagine letting go of his feelings for her. Ever since she was young, she had taken root in his heart and never left. His only wish was to remain by her side, even if it meant living and dying alone.

"Then when the time comes, I'll just sign up to donate my body to science," he said with a faint smile. "It can help medical students with their studies. Seems useful enough, doesn't it?"

"You" Nina's frustration boiled over, her voice sharp with disbelief. "How can you even say something like that?"

She glared at him, clearly upset. "I don't care how noble it sounds. I believe in resting in peace after death. Donating your body like that? Absolutely not!"

Before Wilfred could respond, Nina

straightened up, her tone turning firm. "Fine. If you're not going to do anything about your future, then will. I'll start finding someone for you personally. I'll vet them myself and make sure they're the right match."

Her words were laced with resolve, her expression stern and determined.

Wilfred sighed, shaking his head with a helpless smile. "Forget it. I've got enough to deal with as it is. I don't have the time or energy for all that."
