Captivation: Want Nothing But You

Chapter 1672

Disgruntled, she sat up and fumbled for her phone beside her pillow.

The screen lit up and showed the time: two o’clock in the morning.

She should have slept from exhaustion when she went to bed after attending the auction and meeting Alberto tonight, but she was still wide awake.

The thoughts in her mind were still up and running, and every time she closed her eyes, she would be reminded of the woody scent of that room.

Putting back her phone and taking out her tablet, Rachel opened the internet browser and typed in the website address.

When she clicked the enter button, the screen faded to black for a few seconds, redirecting her to the Red Hackers’ private website.

On the homepage sat a table of different task levels updated in real -time.

Rachel clicked on the chatting box in the lower right corner of the website and was surprised to find that Quintin was online.

She opened the conversation and sent a question mark.

The sun was already up where Quintin was.

He was busy dealing with something for work when the Rachel’s chat suddenly popped up on his laptop screen.

His brows furrowed a bit in surprise.

Why was Rachel contacting her through the website? She had never done it before.

Another thing was Rachel didn’t like using the website.

Quintin was usually the one who liked to contact her through the website’s chat box.

He was always the first to message, and Rachel would end the conversation by not responding anymore.

Whenever Rachel needed his help about something important, she would reach him through call.

Thus, seeing the chat pop-up from the website was kind of strange.

Quintin looked outside the window of his room.

It was already morning, with the sun high up in the sky.

He then typed his reply, “Did something happen?”

The screen showed a three-dot bubble, indicating that Rachel was typing.

Before Rachel could finish typing her reply, Quintin sent another message.

“It should be two o’clock in the morning there in Apliaria now.

Why are you still awake?”

“I can’t fall asleep.” Rachel’s reply finally came through.

She couldn’t sleep?

Quintin immediately remembered that Rachel had insomnia shortly after she gave birth to Joe.

She didn’t have proper sleep and rest for days.

He was very worried about her at that time.

Insomnia wasn’t a joke.

It could really disrupt a person life if left untreated.

Sitting up straight, he quickly typed a reply on his keyboard.

“Are you not feeling well? You’ve stopped taking your medications for a while now.

Even though the doctor said you’re doing fine, you should still take it easy.

You are in Apliaria.

I’m sure your schedule is always hectic there these days.

You should look after yourself.

Why don’t you take your medications again? Or how about I come over and handle some of the work?”

Rachel asked, “If you come here, who will look after Joe?”

“Well…”
