Chapter 268

After fleeing the scene, Bianca and Dangelo successfully boarded the flight to Boynton.

On the plane, Bianca fidgeted nervously, though she tried to hide it. She had asked Dangelo to get her out, but she didn't want him to take her back to Boynton. What if he ran into Finley? What then?

She bit her lip, anxiety gnawing at her.

But Dangelo insisted. "Bianca, don't worry about me. I need to make sure you're safe and get you home before I can rest easy. As for Jepson, my parents will handle it. It won't affect us."

His words only made Bianca more fearful. If his parents could handle things so easily, it meant Dangelo was dangerous-far more dangerous than she'd realized.

Luckily, with a little maneuvering on her part, she and Dangelo avoided crossing paths with Finley. Bianca rushed in the direction of Finley, her heart pounding with excitement.

This time, she was going to promise Finley her hand in marriage. She was going to demand a grand wedding-one that would make Elaine watch her live the life she deserved. She'd become the top socialite, the most envied woman in the world. She'd let everyone know just how happy she was. Elaine, you lost. It's you who lost.

Bianca's smile twisted with a sense of cruel satisfaction.

When she appeared before Finley, she donned her most innocent and loving expression.

"Finley, I'm back. I'm here to marry you."

Finley, shocked that Bianca had returned at this moment and even more surprised by her promise to marry him, pulled her into a sweet embrace.

"Bianca, you're finally back! Yes, I'll marry you. Don't worry, I've already handled everything at home. Those who were against us being together won't stand in our way anymore. Not even my parents.'

In the time she'd been away, Finley had been working tirelessly to clear the obstacles in the way of their relationship. Bianca listened to his words, tears of joy filling her eyes.

Finally, no one could stop her. She had made it.

"Thank you, my love. Thank you for everything you've done for me," she whispered.

She had made the right choice. Even though she had entangled herself with other men, she had never truly given herself to anyone but Finley. He was the one who would give her the life she had always wanted.

As for the others, well, they would always remember her. It gave her a sense of superiority.

Bianca smugly thought to herself, I'll have so many women hating me for taking their men, for being the one they'll never forget.

Unaware of the horrific events that had unfolded in Lento, Finley had no idea that Bianca's two brothers were currently suffering the consequences of her actions.

Bianca, too, carefully avoided bringing up what happened in Lento. After all, she'd been forced to leave the Yeats family, and now, she was no longer their daughter-she was simply the future mistress of the Scott family.

As Finley held her close, his mind wandered for a moment to Elaine. He shook his head, pushing the thought

he'd once felt something for her, but it was nothing compared to the love he had for Bianca.

Book Elf, who had been watching Bianca's return and her decision to marry Finley, couldn't wait to relay the news to Elaine.

Elaine smirked, "I have to admit, Finley's a real piece of work. He's cleared all the hurdles, even getting the Scott family on his side, all to be with Bianca. But I can't help but wonder-what would happen if I released the photos of Bianca's kisses and flirty moments with other men during their wedding? How long would their perfect, fairytale romance last then?"

Book Elf chuckled darkly, "Bianca might just explode if she knew. Elaine, you're a true mastermind. Finley's never gonna see it coming. He's dreaming of marrying the woman he thinks is perfect, but little does he know, she's been lying to him all along. It'll be priceless when he finds out. He's turned himself into a fool.

Elaine's lips curled into a sinister smile. "Bianca, Bianca, I've got something just for you. You thought you could trick me and climb your way into high society, living your best life, huh? Well, you're in for a rude awakening. Just wait till you think everything's going your way, and you fall harder than you ever imagined.

She paused for a moment, her voice cold and mocking. "Bianca, you must be dying to know what's coming, right?"

"I've said it before, and I'll say it again. You don't deserve this."

Meanwhile, Trevon, horrified by the news of Jepson's severe injuries, rushed to the ICU. He found his mother and grandmother sobbing, a wave of dread hitting him hard. His legs trembled, and his stomach twisted with a sense of impending doom.

Trevon knew. Bianca had done this. He thought he and Calvin had suffered enough-one losing his future, the other losing his freedom.

But Jepson... Jepson was in worse shape. He was half-dead, a disabled shell of the man he once was. Bianca's face twisted in his mind, like that of a devil. He couldn't shake the feeling of cold creeping down his spine.

That woman was terrifying.

Tracy continued to weep in front of him. "Trevon, the doctors just said Jepson's hands are too badly

injured. They'll have to amputate. I can't even imagine-Jepson, so proud, will never be able to accept being a cripple.

"But worse, he might end up a vegetable, never waking up again. What kind of curse did he bring upon himself to end up like this?"

Trevon's lips moved, but he couldn't speak. He felt a chill in his bones.

Jepson hadn't listened to him, and now he was paying the price. Would Tracy end up the same? Would she, too, suffer because she hadn't believed him?

"Mom, stop crying. Jepson's gonna be fine," Trevon tried to comfort her, though he couldn't shake the fear that gnawed at him. He sat in the hospital corridor, waiting as Robert spoke with the doctors, his face growing grimmer by the second.

It didn't look good for Jepson. This was no accident-he was paying the price for everything that had happened.

When Robert returned, his face was strained. "The medical bills are a million dollars. I need to go back to Boynton to arrange things."

This kind of money was a burden for them. Everything seemed to be going wrong. With their family finances already in ruins, they couldn't afford more bad news.

Now, Jepson was in the ICU, and every minute spent there cost them even more.

Robert was beyond frustrated.

Suddenly, Tracy grabbed Trevon's hand. "Trevon, take me to the Yeats family. I need to see Elaine. I don't believe she can just let Jepson lie there, possibly dying, and not do anything. She can't be that heartless. Take me to her."

There was an almost desperate tone in Tracy's voice, a humility she had never shown before. It was almost unimaginable- she, who had once looked down on Elaine, was now begging to see her.
