[Kin's POV]

I was watching my sons sleeping as Solon and Callum came into their nursery. I turned to look at them, a smile still on my face.

"Fatherhood suits you brother." Callum said with a smile.

It didn't reach his eyes and I knew he was still hurting from something he didn't want to talk about. We all had our demons to fight and he would cave and tell me eventually and I would be there for him to talk to.

Solon looked at Callum before turning to look at me. "Have you spoken to Arion about Ra'ne?" he asked curiously.

We were all on edge about my little embers health. We were not expecting twins from my little Mate at all and him giving me Alpha boys was a fucking miracle if I ever fucking saw one.

I was in love with my sons and I couldn't wait to watch them grow up into the strong Alphas I knew they would be.

"Arion has given Ra'ne explicit instructions to stay in bed at all times unless to use the bathroom. He is doing much better but his strength is not what it should be." I said answering Solon.

"Talon and his gang must be having a good time with that one." Solon joked, a sly smile on his face.

"They have been doting on him too much. Its driving me crazy. Digger has brought him flowers almost every fucking day!!!" I exclaimed in faux distress.

"Aww don't worry Digger has a Mate now. He don't mean anything by it." Solon said pushing my shoulder playfully.

I looked at Solon a little shocked I hadn't known Digger had found his Mate. "When did he find his Mate?" I asked curiously as we settled down in another room across the hall from the nursery.

"A year ago. We had just come home actually and he had just suddenly gone off on his own. He had not responded to anything we had said to him. Nothing we were saying to him was getting through as he just walked toward his Mate. When he got there he snatched his Mate up and kissed them full on the mouth shocking the holy hell out of everyone there." Solon said chuckling softly at the memory of Digger's actions.

"Why had it been so shocking?" Callum asked as he took another sip of his drink.

Solon sighed then, a dark look coming to his face as he looked from me to Callum. "You have to understand that not every family accepts same sex couples. It does not matter to most now a days but to some families it does. To Diggers parents he was doing something against the very nature of our kind. They would not listen to reason and they kicked him out of their house. To us Callum, that is as close to death sentence as you could get." Solon said seriously.

Callum gasped in shock as he sat up straighter and looked to the door and where Digger could be. "How could they! He is their son and that would be beyond cruel!" Callum exclaimed, angry for Digger's situation.

Solon shook his head, "That is just the way some families are. Thankfully Digger's Mate fully accepted him and Mark's family have fully brought him into their family line. It is not the same but it has helped to heal the damage that was done to Digger's pride." Solon said a wistful smile on his face.

Callum looked at him for a moment before getting up and leaving. It was then that I felt all hell breaking loose in my rooms and my own Mate calling out for help. I quickly put aside any questions I had for my two best friends and went to help my Mate.

I reach the door to the bedroom only to find it surrounded by Radical Rouges.

Oh, this was going to be fun. I shifted into Julius' massive Black Wolf form and let him tear through the onslaught of Rouges coming for me.

When I finally got through them I busted through the door to find a very shocking sight. Grissa was standing against Skie. Yes Skie. My little Mate had let his Wolf control his Human body and Skie was doing something I had never seen before. He was controlling a blue fire. Blue Fire is something that has not existed in thousands of years and seeing it wrapped around my Mates fingers interested me greatly.

However, the biggest problem right now was that Grissa seemed to be immune to the blue fire's effects all together. Something that should not be possible. I could see ashes of some poor soul that had met an unfortunate end by the blue flame as it still smoldered on the floor.

Callum and I advanced as Solon faded into the Shadows, they both knew what I wanted them to do and they knew what I was going to do and they knew what was about to happen.

I was about to rip Grissa to little tiny bits and if I needed help they were right there to step in. I moved quickly, faster than even Grissa had time to do anything about. I had his throat in my hand in a flash and was pushing him through the wall, sending us both out of the room and into the air.

We landed on the ground, with him under me on the ground below us. At least 15ft below the hole that was now in the side of the house. Grissa was still struggling in my grasp as he tried to shake me off of him. I was not going to have any of that. I wanted this Rouge dead.

I growled and began to tear and rip into him but nothing was ripping or tearing. My strength was not working on Grissa. He was not breaking. What in the HELL!!!

Finally Grissa was able to rip himself away from me, his neck actually bleeding while the rest of him was clean of any harm.

Grissa sneered at me, "I will come for him!! That THING WILL be MINE!!" he shouted before he was just gone.

I picked myself up and stared blankly at the spot Grissa had once stood before quickly scaling the outside wall to get to my Mate. Once I was in my now destroyed room I rushed to Ra'ne, he was sitting on the bed with a tired look on his face.

I flashed to his side a worried look on my face. "Are you all right my ember?" I asked as I knelt in front on him pulling his hands into mine. I needed to touch him in some way.

Ra'ne nodded and smiled at me, "I'm just a little shaken up. Skie took over and helped out mostly." he said as he tugged on my hands wanting me closer.

I smiled at him and scooted closer to him letting him wrap his arms around my neck. "Is he ok?" I asked feeling Julius start to pace back and forth with his own worry.

Ra'ne nodded again, "Just tired. We both are, that fire takes it out fo me because I haven't trained with it." he said a little sadly.

I pulled him off the bed getting a surprised squeak from him. I smiled and kissed his forehead pulling him into my lap. "You have never stopped surprising me my little ember. I have nicknamed you well. You are everything to me my love. Please never forget that Ra'ne." I said as I nuzzled his neck needing to inhale his lavender vanilla scent.

"I could never forget how much I mean to you Kin. I need you just as much. I will never be far from you. However, right now Skie and I both need sleep That blue fire sapped our energy more that anything. The thing that is pissing me off is that it had no affect on Grissa at all." Ra'ne said a little growl forming in his chest.

I'm sure if he had more energy it would have been far more aggressive and harsh. I smiled at him and held him closer to him before scooping him into my arms and slowly standing.

"We obviously cannot sleep in this room my ember. We have destroyed it." I said with a soft chuckle, getting a blush from him.

I carried him out of the room and into the other room on the other side of the boys. "I want to see my sons before we sleep." Ra'ne said seriously.

I nodded and carried him into the nursery. I set him on his feet as he went to the cribs. They had both been silent before Ra'ne poked his head over the side of the cribs, once they both saw him Caden and Berion both began to scream and cry. They were reaching for him wanting their mother.

Ra'ne giggle and picked them both up, cooing to them as he went to the rocking chair in the room. I smiled at them and followed them, sitting on the floor in front of them.

This was what life was about. A happy family. A safe one with safe walls and nothing coming at us but we still had a threat and I was going to hunt Grissa down until I killed him.

There was nothing I wouldn't do to protect my family. I knew this was not the end of everything and I was not going to stop until everything was done and over with.
