After Maeva leaves, Kyle calls me.

-Why isn’t Maeva answering?

I'turn my head and see kyle and hang up.

He throws the little box on the floor.

He shows me a picture of her tied up in chains in a basement.

POV kyle

“Maeva, if you can hear me, I just want to tell you that she drugged me, I would never have dared to do that to you. She drugged me and she used me. Please forgive me, sweetheart...

POS Maeva

I heard Kyle's speech, but he still cheated on me.

“Yes, but he wasn't conscious, he would never have done that if it hadn't been for the drugs..”

“Look where I am now, I'm in a basement being chained and tortured.”

“We're not talking about that Maeva, we're talking about the fact that Kyle would never have done this without substances, forgive him...

“I don't know Mia, it's hard...

I have to kill Theodore for what he did.

He kisses my forehead and the car starts, I let a few tears fall.

-Do you know what happened? I asked Josh.

“They didn't sleep together, Maeva, it was Theodore who engineered the whole thing, Tiffany put drugs in his drink and then he fell unconscious. She pretended they slept together and then sent the whole thing to you.

-But why didn't Kyle tell me this earlier?

-Because when he came to rescue you, Theodore confessed to him and that's why he wants to kill him.

-And why is he his half-brother?

His father dated another woman before he met Kyle's mother, who is his soul mate. And this other woman, who is Theodore's mother, got pregnant. When George found out about this, he rejected Theodore and here we are, he was veiling you to make Kyle suffer and take his place.

Half an hour later, I get back into my house and head for my room, I'm going to get Kyle some new underwear and a jumper. I run myself a bath and lie in it, coming out an hour later and lying in my bed, in fact our bed. At around three in the mornin Kyle comes to lie in our bed, turns to me and kisses my cheek. I turn round and snuggle into his arms.

I was scared for you Kyle...

-I know, Princess, I'm sorry, but I had to get even.

-Yes, I did.

-And what about Tiffany?

I want to kill her myself.

I fall asleep, my body pressed against that of my lover.
