A Drunken Decision Cynthia Chapter 6
Chapter 6
Annabelle’s departure from the country was set in stone whether or not she was willing to leave. Braxton and Madeline speedily made all the relevant arrangements because they were afraid they could not put a lid on Annabelle’s pregnancy if she stayed at home any longer. When that happened, it would bring shame to the Ross family.
However, Nathan was worried for Annabelle. “Anna isn’t exactly a strong and independent woman. Can she able to live well in another country?” he wondered.
Thus, he insisted on following Annabelle there. At the very least, he wanted to wait until she had settled down before he returned.
Madeline and Braxton did not object to his decision. Instead, they were actually relieved that they did not have to trouble anyone else if he accompanied her.
On the day of Annabelle’s departure, Ashley came out of the house to see her siblings off and seemed beside herself with worry. Grabbing her twin sister’s hand, she exhorted with a serious expression, “Anna, you must take good care of yourself when you are abroad. Remember to call us if anything happens.”
“Yes, you only need to stay in contact with us by phone. There’s no need for you to come back,” Ashley thought as she suddenly raised her head and smiled at Annabelle.
That smile caused Annabelle’s hair to stand on end, and she subconsciously retracted her hand.
Yet, Ashley acted as though Annabelle pushed her, staggering a few steps backward. Braxton was standing slightly further away at that moment. When he saw that, he immediately took a step forward and caught Ashley to prevent her from falling to the ground. Madeline was one step behind, but she was quick to berate Annabelle. “Annabelle, until when do you plan to

The latter darted a glance at Madeline’s livid expression and then at Braxton. Although he did not say anything, the disappointment in his eyes was unmistakable. Annabelle sighed and gave up on trying to explain herself.
“Mom, Dad, I’m leaving. Please take care of yourselves,” Annabelle said and got into the car.

Nathan had been busy helping the driver move the luggage into the trunk, so he did not notice what had happened. After he was done with that, he bid farewell to the family. “Mom, Dad, Ashley, don’t worry! I’ll also be there, so I’ll help Annabelle settle in!” he assured.
The replies he received were Madeline’s snort, Braxton’s silence, and Ashley’s smile.
Baffled by their responses, Nathan locked eyes with them for a while. Seeing that they had nothing to say, he waved at them and got into the car.

As soon as he took his seat, he saw Annabelle’s red–rimmed eyes but did not think much about it as he thought she was just reluctant to leave.
Dressed in a black hoodie, Nathan tapped his sister’s shoulder and reassured firmly, “Annabelle, it’s going to be fine. I’m here for you. I’ll visit you during the holidays, and I’ll even help you raise the child when I graduate. With that, you can come
back!”
“How can I ask you to help raise my child? Don’t you want to get married and have your own children? Who would want a child tagging along with him wherever he goes?” Annabelle thought.
Although she knew it was impossible for his words to come true, she was still happy that Nathan never changed.
The driver left after dropping both of them off at the airport.
Annabelle stared at the entrance for quite a while before grabbing her luggage and followed Nathan inside.
The young woman was not in a good mood when she thought of how she had to leave her home country for a foreign country and be surrounded by foreigners who spoke a language that she could not understand.
Nathan brought Annabelle to the VIP lounge, When he saw that she looked listless, he immediately sat her down and asked concernedly, “All right. You should sit down and rest. Are you hungry? Do you want something to drink?”
Annabelle shook her head as she did not have any appetite right now.
“You don’t need to worry about me. I just need to rest for a moment,” she said.
“All right,” Nathan responded after some hesitation. He sat down beside her and looked at his phone quietly.
Putting her elbows on her knees, Annabelle propped her chin in the palm of her hands. She was studying her surroundings with a nonchalant gaze when she saw someone who shocked her so much that her elbows slipped off. Fortunately, Nathan reacted quickly and was able to grab her by the collar before she fell off the couch.
“Anna!” Nathan called out a little loudly. “She worries me so much. How did she even fall out of a couch?” he thought.
Annabelle put a finger to her lips to shush him. “Speak softer!”
“I wouldn’t raise my voice if you could stay put!” Nathan retorted.

She gritted her teeth and snapped, “I said speak softer!”
Seeing her reaction, he realized that Annabelle was not embarrassed because he was loud. It was because she had seen
someone.
After glancing at his sister, who was pretending to be asleep by leaning against the armrest of the couch, he looked behind her and saw four or five men in suits getting up to leave.
Nathan thought the man leading the group looked really familiar.
“Is he a celebrity? That can’t be right. I would instantly recognize such a handsome celebrity. Wait. This is not the time to be staring at handsome men right now!” he thought as he slapped himself on the head.
“Who are you trying to avoid just now?” Nathan demanded as he pulled Annabelle up. “Anna is as useless as me, so she shouldn’t know anyone successful or influential,” he thought.
After seeing that the person had left, she finally stopped hiding and sat up straight. “I’m not exactly avoiding him. It’s just that there is no need for us to meet,” she whispered.
“Then why were you hiding?” Nathan pressed further.
Annabelle was at a loss for words.
She thought Nathan was annoying. “Can’t he see that I don’t want to talk about it?” she grumbled awkwardly.
Annabelle pointed at her abdomen and said in a hushed voice, “The most handsome man in the group just now is the child’s father.”
Nathan could no longer sit still when he heard that, so he immediately ran after the man to confront him.
His reaction gave her a fright, and she quickly got up and wrapped her arms around his waist.
“Calm down! Calm down!”
“Let go of me!” Nathan roared furiously.
“What kind of man is that? How dare he just let Annabelle deal with everything after he had his fun? If he didn’t want to take responsibility, then why didn’t he wear a condom?” he thought.
pregnancy.
However, Nathan dared not shake his sister off no matter how angry he was because he did not forget her Annabelle knew that Nathan meant well, but the truth remained that the man was innocent. “It’s not his fault. I was drunk. that night, and I kept pestering him. Besides, what can I do once I confront him? Is he going to accompany me to the abortion, or is he going to marry me-”
Before she could finish her sentence, her brother interrupted frenziedly, “Yes! Have him take responsibility and marry you!” “But I don’t want to marry him,” Annabelle said in an even tone as she smiled. “Even if he was lying about not brushing his teeth after eating garlic, can two strangers be together because of a child?” she thought.
