Rupert felt Hash in the living room and turned to see a group of reporters with cameras snapping away 

“I passed .

Dad … Elysia started , her voice strained under the constant clicking of cameras .

Before she could finish , Rupert cut her off .

“ Go , go , go ! Can’t you see we have guests ? Go back to your room ? ” 

Hearing Elysia call him “ Dad ” and realizing that the reporters had likely heard everything he said earlier , Rupert instinctively interrupted her .

Deep down , he genuinely didn’t want to admit that the poorly dressed , underperforming , and ill – mannered girl was his biological daughter .

As the chairman of the Drayton Group , he couldn’t afford such an embarrassment , 

On the other hand , Rowena had just made him proud by acing her exams .

Thinking this , Rupert quickly pulled Rowena , who had just steadied herself , to the front of the media .

Rupert had completely forgotten what happened seven years ago and couldn’t even recall saying those hurtful words
