Since the bunny was so cute, it would be best served with hot spices.

The bodyguards of the Hart Family were multitalented. They not only caught wild chickens and hares, but they even cooked the meats most sumptuously.

Logically speaking, wild animals would not taste as good as reared ones, but the bodyguards of the Hart Family were so good at cooking that they made delicious meals out of the wild game.

Since they were eating with exquisite scenery all around them, the meat tasted especially fresh. Joel gorged on the food, stuffing his originally bulging stomach even fuller, and it looked like a little watermelon.

After the meal, the bodyguards set up the tents. The family napped for a bit, then finally continued their hike to the mountaintop at 3.00PM.

The couple only wanted to bring the children out for a relaxing trip, so it was different from going on a trip with a tour group, where their schedule was packed tightly, and the tourists had to be hurried along.

To them, the children's happiness was of the utmost importance.

As long as they were happy with it, climbing a mountain was not much different from going to countless tourist spots.

In the evening, they arrived at the mountaintop safely.

There were plenty of trees, but there were not any brooks around. Since the trees were not lush, it did

not seem like there was any wild game hidden among them.

Still, it did not matter, for they came prepared. They brought fruits, vegetables, and meats, so even if they could not hunt wild game on the mountaintop, they would not be lacking in food.

After they enjoyed the breeze on the mountaintop, the sky slowly grew dark. Specks of starlight leaped into view against the sky and they looked like a mischievous child's pair of eyes as they glimmered in the blue sky.

Truly, the night sky seen somewhere far from the city was different from the one seen in the city.

Dusktown was rather environment-friendly and the night sky there was also blue with brightly shining stars. However, it was a far cry from the night sky seen here.

The starry sky on the mountaintop was as blue as the ocean and it was astonishingly clear. The stars were so bright that they looked like shining diamonds, and they were completely pure and untarnished, just like crystals.

A night sky of such dazzling beauty was so captivating that one could hardly look away as soon as they set their sights on it. The more they glanced at it, the harder it was to withdraw their gazes away from it. They would wish that they could sprout wings and fly so that they could become one with the sky.

Meanwhile, the two children were stunned at the sight. At that moment, Quincy had this intense desire to be an astronomer while Joel fantasized about growing a pair of tiny wings to soar freely in the sky.

The air up here had to be fresher and the wind more refreshing than ever. It would not be such a bad

idea to walk under the starry night sky.

Sebastian took Madeline's hand and said, "I'll take the children on a walk. They've eaten too much, so if they just sit here, I worry that they might get stomach aches after sleeping."

Indeed.

At night, their precious sons ate too much again.

After the rigorous exercise in the afternoon, the children were starving by the time they arrived at the mountaintop. They gobbled up a lot of food and Madeline was startled as she watched them. She feared that they might be eating too much. However, she did not want to ban them from eating either.

Hence, Sebastian, who absolutely pampered his children, allowed them to eat as they pleased. He convinced Madeline that the children could just move around a bit after the meal.

She was also one to spoil her children. She did not want to prohibit the children from eating, but if someone next to her advised her to lessen her children's food intake, she might put a foot down and stop them from eating so much. However, the one next to her was Sebastian, who did not advise her one bit. Instead, she encouraged her, so she just went along with it.

Since Sebastian had a point, she told the children, "Did you hear what Daddy said? You ate too much for dinner, so you have to take a walk before coming back to rest."

"All right, Mommy!" Joel obediently stood up from the ground.

Quincy also followed suit.

Madeline took Quincy's hand while Sebastian took Joel's, and the family of four strolled under the starlight.

"Mommy, I love this feeling so much," Joel said softly, "I feel like I'm especially blessed right now. Daddy, Mommy, Aldo, let's stay like this forever, okay?"

Sebastian lovingly caressed his little head. "Of course."

"Pinky promise!" Joel excitedly hooked pinkies with everyone.

He loved his current life. Although he felt very blessed in the past as well, ever since he had a father, he felt like he was the luckiest child in the world and his family was the happiest family on Earth.

He hoped that happy times like this could be preserved forever, and nothing would change for the rest of their lives.

He raised the polaroid camera hanging in front of his chest, then began clicking the shutter and taking photos again. He was so happy today, so he had to take more photos and record the moments. He would always remember how nice his father, mother, and brother were to him!

When he grew up, he would repay his parents and take care of his brother for his parents' sake. He would be the best child in the whole wide world!

As they walked, Sebastian suddenly paused in his steps and listened intently.

Noticing that, the bodyguards behind them were immediately on alert. They protected the family of four on all sides as they warily scanned the area.

"What's the matter?" Madeline was a little nervous because of their actions.

After nightfall, there was only the light from the moon and the stars, and the faraway lights below the mountain. There was no streetlight on the mountain itself.

Madeline shuddered violently.

"Sounds like someone is shouting for help." Sebastian pointed at a hill in the south. "Weylam, take some men with you and have a look."

"Understood, Mr. Hart." Weylam took two bodyguards with him and briskly walked in the direction Sebastian had pointed.

The others were still in their defensive positions as they protected the family.

Soon, Weylam's voice rang a distance away in the night. "Mr. Hart, there is someone here shouting for help. It's a girl, and she says she's a tourist. She accidentally slid down from the mountain and fell onto a platform at the foot of the hill."

"A tourist?" Madeline was surprised. "Isn't this a wild mountain that no one has developed before? There are almost no traces of anyone coming here for a trip, but a girl came here alone just to hike?"

If the girl was truly alone, then she truly had amazing courage.

Madeline herself was considered a brave girl, but even she would not dare come here to hike in the middle of the night. More accurately, she was not interested in that.

What meaning could there be to hiking alone?

Weylam reported, "She said she came here in the day and accidentally fell onto the platform below at noon. She twisted her ankle and couldn't climb up. She also dropped her phone, so she couldn't ask for help."
