You, Me and Our Genius Twins

Chapter 356

Chapter 356

Penny looked at her confusedly and asked, "Who was it?"

"Her name is Tina Sanders. She was Walter's second wife and also the woman he loved the most. Walter cheated on his first wife with Tina, and he divorced her to marry Tina. After his divorce, his first wife refused to raise their daughter, which was the case for Tina as well. As such, they thought of you…"

"They thought of me?" Penny looked at Madeline puzzledly and asked, "Why?"

"That's because he hated you. You kept telling him that you loved him, but you ended up marrying another man. Although he despised you, he wanted his daughter to live a comfortable life. Since he could use this opportunity to take revenge on you, he started planning the whole thing carefully. He made you believe that your own daughter was a jinx, and he even pretended to be dying before asking you to take care of his daughter."

"No… That can't be…" She shook her head. "Walter loved me and was loyal to me. He only loved me, so he wouldn't do that to me… You're lying! You're lying!"

Hearing that, Madeline merely kept quiet; she knew that deep inside, Penny had believed what she said but refused to admit it because she didn't dare to accept the truth.

If she chose to not believe it, she could still make herself feel better by convincing herself that the reason she gave her own daughter away was for the good of the whole family and not just herself; her daughter was said to bring misfortune to everyone in the family and not just Penny.

But if she believed it, everything she had done would be a joke. She had been raising his daughter as

her own and poured all the love and nostalgia she had for Walter toward his daughter. Alas, it was all a conspiracy.

She saw him as her everything, but in actual fact, he never really loved Penny. To live a good life with his second wife, he placed the daughter from his first marriage under her care. Then, to stop her from getting entangled with him and to prevent the truth from surfacing, he faked his death so that he would forever be her pure, first love.

He had devised a series of plans just to make her give him all her heart, and because of that, she favored his daughter over her own sons. When the truth was revealed today, her husband asked for a divorce while her sons were not on her side as they saw her as a stranger.

Because of that, she didn't dare to admit that she was being fooled. If she did, it would mean that it was utterly stupid of her for doing all those things for Walter in the last twenty years.

On the other hand, Eddie was so furious that he simply picked up an ornament on the coffee table and threw it on Bryson. "How could you be that blind? Look at the woman that you have chosen to marry! Aren't you getting a divorce? Call your lawyer over now and have her divorced!"

He was exasperated as it was the biggest joke the Penham Family had ever encountered where the unmarried Penny was fooled by a bodyguard and even gave her own daughter away after believing his words. Eddie would be embarrassed if the matter was spread out.

"Yes, Dad…" Bryson's hands trembled as he took his phone out and gave a call to his lawyer. He got the lawyer to draft a divorce agreement before sending it over.

Seeing that, Penny immediately rushed over to stop him but he kicked her away. He kicked her viciously in the lower abdomen, and she was in so much pain that she screamed before staggering a few steps back. She fell onto the ground and almost passed out from the excruciating pain. As she held her stomach, she raised her head and stared at Bryson in disbelief. She never expected him to kick her!

Although he wasn't as capable, he had a good temperament and had never hit her throughout these years. It was rare for him to shout at her too. Today, however, he had kicked her to the ground in front of so many people. It made her tremble as she slumped to the ground.

By then, she realized the severity of the issue and that it had gotten out of hand. After tonight, she might even lose everything—from her status as the future lady of the Penham Family, to her husband and sons. She would lose everything, and she couldn't take it at all.

All along, she simply wanted to be the best in everything. She wanted to be the center of attention and the subject of envy at every occasion. But after tonight, she would be a miserable woman who was despised and ridiculed by many. This feeling would be worse than death, and she was unable to face it.

She immediately crawled over to Bryson's feet and tugged onto his pants while she pleaded, "Bryson, please don't divorce me! I'm your wife, and we have two sons together. What will happen to them if we get divorced? Please don't divorce me for the sake of our sons. I'm begging you…"

"Get away!" He kicked her again and chided, "Both of them are my sons, and they have nothing to do with you!"

He gritted his teeth as he glared at her with hatred. He had never hated someone that much. Back then, he loved her so much that he was willing to listen to whatever she said, and he agreed to her

request when she pleaded to him to give up on searching for their daughter while crying. He even agreed to her request of adopting another child. However, his sincerity was wasted as she had planned for her to adopt her lover's daughter since the very beginning.

Since Walter had faked his death, he believed that Penny hadn't been in contact with Walter all these years. Nonetheless, it still felt like she had cheated on him. She must have despised him so much that she would do such a thing to him. In fact, she might have seen him as a fool all along.

At that moment, he wasn't only angry at her for betraying him; he felt deep humiliation as his self- esteem had been trampled and stepped all over by her. He had the urge to torture her until death, shredding her corspe into pieces before burning them into ashes.

Just as the members of the Walker Family walked in, they saw Penny being kicked by Bryson.

Seeing that, both of Penny's brothers rushed forward furiously. One of them held onto Penny while the other one chided Bryson, "Bryson, are you crazy?"

"Me? Crazy? The Walker Family are the crazy ones here!" Bryson howled and glared at them with bloodshot eyes. "How dare you let someone that ruthless and shameless marry me? I want nothing to do with the Walker Family—you guys are now my enemies!"

Both of Penny's brothers were surprised to hear that.

Clayton, Penny's sensible eldest brother noticed how Bryson had lost his mind and furrowed his brow as he looked at Austin and Justin. "Austin, Justin, what happened between your parents?"

Austin tried to explain the situation, but words got stuck in his throat.

Noticing that, Justin glanced at him and said, "Let me explain it to them." He then told the Walker Family what had happened with a straight face.
