Chapter 328

When Madeline returned to Sun Garden, Joel was delighted to see her. He rushed into her embrace and hugged her tightly. As Joel was sick, he became a lot more clingy recently.

She carried him to the couch and ruffled his hair. "Are you still feeling sick?" she asked.

He shook his head and said, "I'm fine, Mommy."

"Good boy!" Madeline kissed him a couple of times. "How can you be so cute?"

"Because I'm like you!" Joel gave her a cherubic smile. "I'm cute and well-behaved because you are too!"

His words made Madeline laugh, and she couldn't help but kiss him again. My baby is the cutest angel in the world! she thought.

Then, she ran her fingers through his hair and asked, "Where's Daddy?"

"He was just here playing games with Quincy and me. We were playing when his phone rang. Then, Daddy took his phone and went upstairs."

"I see… Then, where is Quincy?" Madeline asked again.

"He went out with Alex to buy a present for me! Simon is with them too. Daddy gave Quincy a lot of money and said that he could buy anything he wanted for me. So he is going to buy a lot of presents for me!" Joel answered joyfully.

Madeline was stunned when she heard his story. After a moment of silence, she asked hesitantly, "How much did Daddy give?"

"Daddy gave Quincy a card." With that being said, Joel gestured animatedly to show Madeline the size of the card with his hands. Then, he continued, "Quincy said that it is a luxury card with unlimited access to money. He can buy whatever he wants!" When he spoke of it, his feet swung back and forth, and his face was filled with adoration. "Daddy is so awesome!" he gushed.

Just as Sebastian came downstairs, he heard Joel's words and couldn't help but laugh. "Is being awesome that easy?" He sat beside Madeline, took Joel from her arms, and cuddled him. Then, he lowered his head and kissed Joel. "If I had known this earlier, I would have given you a luxury card too. You can spend it however you like!"

Suddenly, he recalled the first time he met Joel; it was when Joel received money from the watch on his wrist! How hadn't he noticed that his son was so money-oriented? But it's not too late now! Immediately, Sebastian texted Quinton, asking him for a luxury card since Quinton was the one in charge of his personal belongings as he couldn't be bothered to deal with things he considered 'trivial'.

Soon, Quinton walked in and handed him a luxury card. "Mr. Hart, does this satisfy your request?"

Sebastian took the card and looked at it. "Good," he said. Right after that, he handed Joel the card. "Here you go. This is yours. You can use it however you like!"

"Huh?" Joel blinked his doe eyes dazedly.

Sebastian looked at him with adoration, wishing he could give Joel all his cards. But it was useless to

have so many cards; just one unlimited card was enough for him.

He kissed Joel's forehead and said, "You and Quincy both have one each. Use it whenever you want to buy anything, okay?"

When Joel heard his words, Joel gave the card back to Sebastian and shook his head. "I don't need this! I'm still young. I don't need that much money! Plus, I have my own money!" With that, he raised his arm, showing the watch on his wrist to Sebastian, and said proudly, "There is a lot of money in here! I can buy many snacks with it!"

"That's not the same! Keep your money to yourself and spend mine. I earned so much money just to give it to you guys!"

"Don't say that!" Madeline tugged on Sebastian's clothes and shook her head at him. Then, she turned to Joel and said, "You must study hard and be a better man when you grow up. Then, you will earn money on your own, right?"

Even though she knew that Sebastian's words were true because he loved them very much, she still thought that spoiling them without a care about the consequences wasn't the brightest idea.

Joel nodded his head firmly at Madeline's words. "Yes! Don't you worry, Mommy. I will study hard and be stronger than Daddy! I will earn lots of money for all of us!" He paused for a moment before continuing, "But I think Quincy will be more capable than me and earn more money than me. But still, I want to support him! I want to give all of you the best thing in the world!" As he said these words, his big doe eyes shone brightly, and his face was full of yearning for the future.

His declaration was so charming that Sebastian couldn't take his eyes off him. He thought his son

looked charismatic and was simultaneously touched by his words. He said that he was going to support me when he grew up! Yet, he also wanted to give me the best thing in the world! How can he be so considerate and filial?

Soon, Quinton walked in and handed him a luxury card. "Mr. Hart, does this satisfy your request?" With that thought, Sebastian couldn't help but kiss Joel again, and he felt as though all the love he could pour into this tiny person just wasn't enough. He didn't know how to describe his emotions; it was as if there was nothing more fulfilling than spending time with his family.

Just as they were bonding, Sebastion's phone rang. When he swept his gaze on his screen, he saw the call was from Eternal. "Mr. Hart, the evidence is ready," he reported succinctly.

"Good. Call the police!" Sebastian instructed.

"Yes, Mr. Hart!" After Eternal ended the call with Sebastian, he immediately called the police.

Thirty minutes later, at the CEO's office of Miller Enterprise. Jefferey got a call from his secretary that a few police officers had arrived. At first, he was shocked, but he then convinced himself that the police had to be here for another reason as it had been a long time since that matter. Then, he told his secretary to let them in and greeted them with a smile. “Good day, officers. I wonder what's all the commotion about?”

"It's about your wife. Someone had reported that you pushed her down the stairs. Please follow us for further investigation," the police officer replied sternly.

The police's words made Jeffrey nervous, but he regained his composure and barked, "How is this

possible? It was clear that my wife had fallen by accident. So who is the person slandering me?"

"You'll find out once we investigate the matter thoroughly. Now, please cooperate and follow us back to the police department," the lead police officer said.

"I want to see my lawyer," Jefferey managed to stay composed and said seriously.

Since his request was reasonable, the police didn't reject him. "Sure."

Half an hour later, Jeffrey was sitting in the integration room of the police department. Of course, he wanted to deny everything, but he never expected they would have evidence of his crime.

When he fell in love with Angie, he sneakily arranged for her to stay in the villa he had outside the suburbs. He loved Angie with all his heart and decided to get a divorce as Angie told him that she would only have sex with him after they were married. When he asked for a divorce, his wife refused, which resulted in a heated argument. That was when he accidentally pushed his wife off the stairs.
